GST Timing and a Global Playerbase
 

Hey there.
Got all excited to see the GST tournament show up in the news.
Got super disappointed when I saw the timings... maybe it's always been this way, but a bunch of my guild members and I would have to be awake at 2:30 in the morning in order to take part in the tournament.

Is this set in stone - is there no way to have either a different timing or an event which runs over the course of a 24 hour period?

Seems unfair to us people in the far east!

I knew this was coming, considering that the week of black friday has many thing in store for graal (sales, 50% uploads maybe).

That was half the reason, the other half was Xor wasn't going to be around to wrangle staff together for me.

Times are set in stone. There's no way to satisfy everyone so we target the majority which is NA and EU.

Where there's a will, there's a way. I understand that you're not the be all and end all here, and that there's a labor crunch this time of year, but it's too bad that this (very) regular event does not already have a western and eastern version in order to allow more participation, or some equivalent solution.

P.S. - If you really need admins, I've applied about a half a dozen times and never even got a single response!

ya but the point is that 90% of sparrers are in NA and EU and 4 PM EST on a weekend is a pretty acceptable time for that group

4-Lom not sure if you have a set bed time or not, but try and sneak your iDevice in with you and just stay up till 2:30, if you're PC just go to a friends house that can stay up overnight and do it there.

The wife wouldn't be happy with it :3
