I'm not too sure yet- as not everyone has a house...

Why not have a gift that everyone has as well as have a gift in the houses for the players that bought them?

idea for the presents: it might take a lot of coding, but what if u walked up to santa and said a keyword like body [or hat, a special shield, skateboard :d,car, bombs, melee, gun] and get a random item from that category? that way not everyone gets the same old thing, and u get to pick kinda like a wish-list u would have on christmas?

I had a great idea and turns our Rufus had the same idea. Instead of everyone getting the same present it should be randomized. For example, some players open their presents and recieve a snowball launcher, some get an ice dagger, some get etc. All just ideas for the present but it would be nice to see everyone getting a random item so not everyone recieves the same present. I know for Christmas I don't get the same gift as everyone else so why should it be any different for era:)

Would be a bit unfair if some people got better items than others, plus it might be hard to prevent people getting something they already have.

Maybe provide a variety of gifts to choose from, let the player decide which one he or she wants.

Easy solution:
Get your gift when you grab Santa (can be on christmas day or maybe a few days after since most people are busy? I know I will be)
You should be able to either 1: choose an item or randomize it. lets say we have a snowball launcher, a winter cap, or 5000 gralats.
You could either press "Choose present" or "Randomize!"
Choose present would allow you to choose from the presents, and randomize would choose one for you...

Ehh, i kinda like the randomized idea. Some people get better things for christmas. People could get a few extra chances for every house they have, getting one if they have no house. And @Higbey, if things that are already possible to get are in presents, the script to pick a random present could check the inventory of the player so they would receive something new ^^

u can pick what u want from a list, but wht u get from that section of the list is random, so its fair in which u pick what u want, but its a surprise?

It´s not (doesn´t matter if it´s weapons or stuff). Just look at the shop system (in case you can somehow). People can´t buy the weapon twice (at least on iClassic. If it works there, it can get added to iEra)

I'm sticking with the randomized idea. Rufus seems to have brilliant ideas so if he was thinking the same idea it seems pretty good. As for some players getting better items than others? Well, they could all add items that are similar to each other. But honestly you should be thankful for whatever you get. I used snowball launcher, ice dagger, etc as examples because the items should all be something really neat. It won't matter which item you get because they would all be really nice gifts.

If there was any other idea I had to choose from i'd definitely go with street's idea. Being able to choose your gift doesn't seems so bad either.

I've seen that they have managed to bring some instrument over from pc. I think it would be cool if we got those for gifts.

I don't know Kat, I think Snk already has it all planned by now. There isn't any need to talk about presents anymore. In two days it will be Christmas so i'm sure whatever Snk will do he already has it planned.

I don't think grabbing Santa is a good idea, it will be packed with people=lag.
I think the present should be in houses and for the people that don't have houses it automatically is in their inventory :)

This is a random idea...why not be a quest where you have to find the Grinch and kill him and we get his heart, like when you kill a player and get their hearts or maybe we have to kill a player to get a heart first and then give it to the grinch? Another idea would be that we have to deliver presents ourselves for Santa, like the Halloween trick or treating and when we are done, we get a gift of our own.
