Improve Houses.
 

Im not sure about others that play Graal Ol'West, but I really think that the House System could be really improved. I imagine that you will update houses in the future, however I would just like to make sure that this is being considered. I personally love designing houses on other Graal servers, and I would like Ol'West to be just as good as others. An example of improving houses is to include the use of levels. And also in a small screen (where you cannot zoom out), I find it difficult to place furniture in certain places in the house. Please just conceder different ways of improving houses, because I really would like them to be improved at some stage in the future. Thx :0 .

I hope they do, or are already have considered those factors you have mentioned. But your thread is about improving houses - and you've only mentioned about 2 things you'd like to see.

It would help a lot of you included more in terms of what you want improving, instead of just examples - unless those are the only improvements you have in your mind.

Feel free to list them, and I advise other people viewing the forum to do so as well.

Perhaps another room made for farming? I want to decorate the outside of my house, but there is no space due to all my farm plots, having a seperate farm room would solve this problem. Maybe they can also add weather machines? I decorated my house for Christmas, but I really wanted snow outside my house.

Ye, I was thinking of suggesting this.. However I wasn't sure about how others would take it. I do as you say, want to decorate the outside. However I have like 50-60 farm patches all over the place leading to the inside of my house.

I think its a good idea, im usually into this kind of stuff in games like customizationish maybe you could add more like activity stuff if you know what i mean? Like casino machines that actually work or training dummys to hit maybe like a spar arena you can place down and have other players battle in and this doesnt go with the topic really but are gang houses being added?

Also I would like to be able to move a furniture item in smaller spaces. Cant really explain it, however in classic they have a tool which you click and you are able to move a furniture item in smaller spaces like half a pixel rather than a pixel. Idk if that makes sense. Anyways, also there is a space above the door in houses where furniture goes underneath it. I would perhaps like this fixed. Again im not very good at explaining, perhaps I can get a picture of this..

Also I would like the inside of the house to be extended. Perhaps a second floor. I believe in old graal games they sold more floors for houses in the event shop. Also ive noticed that furniture cannot be placed on the edge of the left hand side of the house.

Most of the furniture has custom sizes aswell. For example instead of all plants being in a square of 30x60 pixels they all have their same sizes which makes it annoying to make designs

I hope they implement the layers similar to era X_X and can we use something other than a scroll and the same old font on furniture messages. x)

Ideas:
-Make an idea list
-Layers
-Make a furni message only appear once when u touch it.
-Make a timed furni message, 1-10 second furni message, cant be closed
-furni message background change, black box, default (scroll), board, white box
-Make a block passable true or false (or not allowed to change)
-Furniture animation (Tough but possibly possible? grabing a furniture piece to make it slide (or someone could make a secret bookshelf with these properties.)
-Different door colours/types
-door looked to, friends, gang/guild, all, open
-select door positions
-House colour
-ground (Dessert, grass, snow.)
-Downfall (Snow, dust, webs)
-Music (Like a stereo but without the darn stereo.)
-House info (Includes who owns the house)
-Kick Stick (Kick players from your house with this stick)
-Ban players from your house.
-kick all non friends or kick all non gang players from your house.

Furni Ideas:
-Mount showoff
-Fences (I needed fences but instead I bought 100 tree stumps seats.)
-Gun showoff (gun stand)
-PLEASE GOD NO STATUES... but a name on wanted posters would be cool

What about a hat showoff? And why no statues? They can really come in handi. Also another thing, when I place a furniture in my house, the furniture box closes and I have to re-open it to place another furniture item. It just takes so much time to do this. It should be made so that when we place a furniture item, the furniture list remains open, and we can close it ourselves.

The hat displays and statues will probably be sold later on.

I agree with the closing furniture box; it can be quite time consuming.

Perhaps making a hot house?

If u don't know what a hot house is, its a big room on the outside and its made by glasses and inside u can farm

Ye, the option to add the name on a wanted sign would be awesome. I would also like an option for the owner to be able to change the sign number to whatever he pleases.

I also would like the number of furniture that we can have to be a much bigger number. I think it may be 40 or something now, but when I pick up all the furniture in my house, it reaches about 600+ Furniture, meaning I cannot buy anymore until I place them .-.

All i have to say is ALLOW DRAG SCREEN. Its annoying how i cant buy certain things because the arrow keys or chat icons are in the way, same with placing furniture down

Oooh another idea I had was to add a search bar for furniture in the furniture inventory, just like there is a search bar for items. Because to be honest it takes me ages to look for a specific furniture! And it can only be for VIP if you wish.

Also nothing should be named the same because then it's place gets messed up for example the different colored flowers are all under flowers....

You can now say /destroybush in your house to destroy ALL bushes at the SAME TIME. :D
To make the bushes come back, change your house template to the same one again or a different one.

I think the best way to implement guild houses would be to sell them for GP. Also I want to allow the owner of the guild to let other users edit furniture throughout the guild house.

But not everyone bases nowadays (ive had years of that through classic etc)
and the more 'role play'/Just chat and not really all get here for basetime and hat! kind of people are the ones who more use their houses/buy furniture etc be shame if only gpoints is only way to get imo

Isn't a gang house for gangs? :o Unless you are just wanting to use it for the bigger layout? Maybe we could just sell more gang house templates, and some of which are only available for GP.

Yes sell them for GP! So does this mean that there will only be 1 Guild House per Gang? I don't understand what you mean by allowing the owner of the guild to edit furniture throughout the house? :(

I didn't know they would re-spawn all the time :o. It physically destroys the bushes. The only way for them to be re-created is for the house's template to be updated.

Well, anyone would be able to own a Gang House I suppose. Though we could add a rights control which allows you to search for a friend or so and add them the ability to edit your furniture layout, or even delete the furniture though it would go back to the owner's inventory? Unless we want to make it so they can't delete furniture. It's all open here, just need some good ideas/concepts. What do you think?

I think people should work for the Gang Houses. So selling them for GP would be fine, in my opinion! But if people are upset about this, then custom house templates only available with GP is fine with me!

Yeah personally I want for bigger layout more space/outside and inside for decoration etc maybe so if for gp only be cheap!*cough* lol

Ye, a rights control is a good idea, just so that you can give rights to people you trust only. I think its fine if they where able to delete furniture, perhaps in the rights control you could choose what rights the people you allowed to change your Gang House. (Not explained well). So the rights controls would be like the rights the leader can change to the members of the Gang, so like the Kick Rights, Rec Rights. But instead of these the owner of the house will be able to decide the exact rights his friends or gang members gets in his house. Whether it be moving furniture or picking furniture up, safely returning it to the Owners inventory, there should be more rights, however I cant think of any at the moment.
