Me and my friends play from time to time at a local country club. First time I picked up a club I was surprisingly good at it (I play tennis as well so maybe you kind of get the jist of it from that?), although I never get time to practice so my game is pretty weak. Not to mention I'm a professional at breaking clubs. My uncle gave me his set because found he never had time to play anymore. I broke his Great Big Bertha driver last time I was playing and almost had a nervous break down. Sucks 2 suck

Lol that almost happened to me yesterday. I hit a drive right next to the water and near the lateral hazerd post. There is an aligator near by me about 20ft infront of me. So i went to hit the ball and i guess i spooked the gator and it jumped at me and i almost feel into the water. It was spooky.

I play Golf. Used to be good, but I choked a 5 yard putt for the win twice in 2 cups in 2010 , which made me hate Golf for like 4 whole years.
Now I'm back since August but I'm still not very consistent.

I golf only for fun never competitively, do a majority of my golfing in my back yard with a golfing net just to see how fast I can swing and to practice my aim - although I tend to hit the neighbors house a bit so I don't do it much anymore just sticking to my archery as of now.

I like to get stoned and hit the driving range tbh

I've been wanting to try it, but I feel so out of place. I'm a bald headed Mexican and the golf courses near me are mostly old white dudes.

I Used to golf with my grandpa. Idk why but he stopped taking me, maybe it was because I stopped taking lessons and he assumed I don't like it.

It's fun, but I don't see myself continuing the hobby because its insanely expensive.

Its expensive as **** but it lasts a long time. But it lasts hella long. Im still using a 100year old wood, irons from the 90s, and a putter from the 60s

Can someone explain the appeal to golf to me, never seemed much fun.

For me it's to see how far I can swing it, as well as how fast and what my accuracy is.

Most people play it because it is by far the most satisfying sport out there. Nothing feels better than hitting a 300 yard drive onto the fairway and making it so you just have a simple 100 yard or short approach shot and 1-2 putting for par or birdie.
