Working out?

How often do you work out, for how long, and what do you do?

I go every day for at least an hour. I always get in 10-15 minutes of running, and squeeze in like 15 minutes of erging if I'm up for more cardio!! I do an ab circuit, legs, and arms. Basically it

twilit 01-06-2015 01:18 AM

nope.

MrSimons 01-06-2015 01:23 AM

I weightlift 4 days a week, and my current job is moving furniture that is being picked up or dropped off places, so I get about 6 hours a day from that. Wish I could get myself to run more though, I'm not necessarily out of shape when it comes to running (my last mile an a half was around 10:30), but I really wish I was better.

Myst 01-06-2015 01:42 AM

I have a part time job at big w, and i work in the back lifting and packing boxes, some of them tend to be quite heavy, but that's pretty much it :[

If you're working out on a rowing erg, make sure you are using correct form. I often see a lot of people doing stuff that can really hurt their backs.

Yeah. I've rowed crew before, and I'd like to think my form is good lol. Sometimes I see people hunching over and using their arms instead of their legs and I try to tell them they're going to hurt themselves but they don't care, "it's just for the workout!"

I run every second day for 30-40 minutes, and play around 30-60 minutes of Just Dance (if that counts haha). I've been meaning to increase the amount that I do but I don't know where to start.

Oooh which JD?

Usually I just run in my sub-division and play JD as well. Sometimes use the treadmill and the bicycle. Have no weights sadly.

Shiz 01-06-2015 06:22 AM

You should focus on a general area each day you work out. I usually do chest + arms and thrn every other day legs + cardio. Lots of weightlifters tend to focus on one part of their body, which can make their form look really horrible. My suggestion (if you're really deficated) is to eat healthy, get enough sleep, and work out at most 5 days a week. Dont work out everyday. If you're still weightlifting after some 10 months then you can move to supplements to help your muscles and energy build. Just read them before choosing and using.

Been curious when a thread like this would pop up.

I switched programs from SL to a PPL split. 6 days Push Pull Legs x 2 then rest on the seventh, gonna see how it goes. Not actively working but doing a lot of walking so i'll call that my cardio.

I do alot of riding. Sometime after school i go out for around an hour but on holidays and weekends I got out for around three rides.

I'll have you know the Graal community is an exceptionally good-looking one. It's unreal.

chest/biceps
legs/abs
back/triceps
legs/abs
light cardio on leg days and more demanding cardio on non leg days

I don't work out(too busy playing graal and posting), but if I did this would be how I did it.

I was thinking the same thing, but not because I thought all graal players were out of shape obese losers. It's just hard for me to believe that people work out when they spend all their free time playing graal.

Admiral 01-07-2015 06:00 PM

Eh, you can be in and out of the gym in an hour-hour and a half depending how much rest between sets you're taking. You can even play Graal between sets (lol!)

But yeah, who would have thought people that play Graal have other hobbies too? :o

"Going to the gym and working out" is easily a 2 1/2 hour minimum. When you take in the time it takes to drive back and fort to the gym, actual work out time, and shower after the workout it is closer to 3 hours.
