Getting ddosed in gst + possible graalians attacker
 
So today during gst the following people in WAR were ddosed: Primetime, Zideruic, and myself Aguzo. The following documents lead me to believe that this person is responsible for the ddos attacks on graalians.com and ddosing my team and I. Not entirely sure if graalians was getting ddosed, but I would have to wait for screen to load due to cloudfare ddos protection.

Would it be possible to redo the match... idk doesn't seem fair.

This Ben guy also has uploaded a YouTube video claiming to have DDoS'ed the PC servers too a while ago, have you sent these in to Toonslab support?

Your first mistake was giving him your skype info, make a new skype, dont add him and change your ip. Unless you want to be hit offline.

No I have not, since I don't see how they can help me. The only thing I see that can resolve this is to change my ip. By the time I realized that the attacker would do this, it was too late to change ip. Too bad that the staff couldn't possibly hold the match for us. If they did, then we would have wasted everyone else's time aswell. Maybe next gst, I guess.

I only gave him my info, because he was prime's friend. Prime told me to add him to a call 1-2 weeks ago. I had no clue who ben was. But yeah, I will be changing my ip, I don't know about making a new skype though. Wouldn't just deleting him from contacts work?

As long as he knows your Skype username he can get your IP and with your IP he can get the city/country you are in.

Sucks and was sad to see WAR (who practiced a lot together) get screwed out of a GST. Really hoped that something would happen in GST to give them another chance but obviously we wouldn't know how long they would be out for so there probably was no point. I hope WAR come back strong next GST though!

Skype isn't a reliable or very safe program. It takes no effort to find someones IP Address using it. Just search skype IP resolver and it will do the work for you. Only friend people on Skype who you trust!

We were referring to being able to fix the DDOS. A do over would not have done anything. It's too late anyway. Unfortunate this happened to you though, I apologize.

Here's what I don't understand: WAR was sparring at Belle a week before the GST and I saw you guys talking about Prime being repeatedly DDoS'd. Thirty minutes later, "Ben" is added to WAR. Many members of Alumni and LabRaTeam are then randomly asked for their Skype usernames by strange accounts.

Why did you guys add a player who was DDoSing one of your members to the guild? Why were you Skyping with him? That much seems fishy. If I had to make a guess, it'd appear to me like the plan was to use this player to DDoS other teams? Regardless, it makes zero sense to communicate with him and then add him to the guild...

Prime was told several times to remove ben from the guild. Ben also threatened prime, and blackmailed him. Not sure what he said to prime. We only skyped ben once, he said "someone from xbox live (which I have not used in months) apparently started to ddos old ips he found through xbox live parties". I thought it was total bs, and I told prime that from the start. Ben went on to say "I installed ddos protection". In the end I didn't do much/change my ip, since my ISP said that major ispes were having a global issue, which could have also been bs just to not have a customer complain. Whatever though, what's done is done. I hope following the instructions on http://forums.na.leagueoflegends.com...p?t=4601733%29 will resolve some of the issue, and I will also be changing my ip.

It really is hard to get blocked by me, cause I usually give most people the benefit of the doubt, but damn.. I personally think you should just get banned for all the stupid off-topic things you always say but whatever, enjoy the block man. I'm sure many people have you on that list.

A guy from the UK did ask me and MShaks and a few other guys for our skypes idk if that was Ben or not but I was about to give it till Sarah pmd me not to and then she told me to look at Thallen's status and I saw something about DDosing. That saved me :D

The point was that I find it pathetic how some people will reduce themselves to lame cheating just to win a GST and even lamer that other players know that is what's going on. Especially when it "happened" in a part of the map that is always a ghost town.

I personally was not aware initially that "barbar" was Ben.
Nor did we immediately come to the conclusion that it was Ben doing the attacks, either way there wasnt much we could do once he had our information. We all told PT to remove him after we found out, but it didnt happen.

I suppose this was just a product of my own ignorance of this issue in skype. Id like to apologize to my team for that. I feel badly for everyone else on other teams who were effected by this. Moral of the story: Dont give out your skype to strange people on Graal (although i think ben already had my skype from before this incident)

It was painful to watch as Skull was still trying his hardest as he still wanted to progress to the next round even though you guys were gone. Same with Jack I think at the end it was only them 2 who were still on.

Yeah, Ben had pt, aguzo and my info. Poodie was no where to be found, so exalt, jack and skull had to face them alone.

It sucks, but there were definitely steps we could have taken to avoid it. Congrats to your team though you guys did well! :D

Skype caches your IPs, they Google "Skype resolver" and type in your username, then they either pay for a cheap booter or just use a Google search to find public shells.

If you're under the impression that people like him are doing something that requires any sign of intelligence, nah. The safest way to not get DDoS'd is to not give your Skype out to idiots, just connect to Skype through a SOCKS or something.

What is a SOCKS? Is that what the link that aguzo posted was instructing how to do?
