Why Players under 100-200 hours keep getting hired as deputy.hojw if they ask the questions to others and insert the applications. That aint fair though
And also some of the deputies are rude af.Deputy should be friendly, answearing peoples questions, and dont be rude

Sardon 08-18-2015 02:19 PM

Nobody will hire me when im dedicated.

Loore 08-18-2015 02:33 PM

same for me

Nibbles 08-18-2015 02:36 PM

True true i hate this

Albie 08-18-2015 02:36 PM

I bet you haven't played graal for 200 hours in total, I'm sure you just afk to get hours.
Hours do not show skill or knowledge of the game.

Nibbles 08-18-2015 02:39 PM

Ive been playin since launch

Loore 08-18-2015 02:44 PM

lmfao longest afk ive done are only 3 hours aaand the rest i played all day how can you judge me by that

Unknown 08-18-2015 02:56 PM

When are you guys going to realize that hours don't matter. You could have 1000 hours and know everything there is to know, but that doesn't mean you can do the job well. People are hired based on how well someone thinks they can do the job. Also will be based on how active you can be, past staff experience, age, morals, and some various other qualities.

Experience:
Hired on iEra without ever logging onto it before that time.

Not everyone hired in real life or on Graal is the correct hire, it happens. But you can hire someone who doesn't know much if you expect them to learn quick and be helpful. It really doesn't take that long to learn a lot. Plus they have other staff members to help them if they have questions here or there.

Case in point, I wouldn't hire someone at McDonalds just because they have eaten there a lot. I might hire a person who has never eaten there and doesn't even know the menu if I think they will do the better job. It might take them a little time to learn, but once that period is over, they will probably be better than the person who ate at McDonalds a lot.

It's very easy to learn Ol'West knowledge and you get training for the RC. So it doesn't matter if your online time is low, you can be far more qualified than players with more hours. Plus the game only been out for about a year

Clown 08-18-2015 03:43 PM

It's hard to change an attitude or train of thought
It's easy to teach someone with a good attitude something new

Also, this isn't an assumption im just putting this out there before I had knowledge on how admin stuffs work, most staff PC accounts will not have as many hours as they are completely different accounts to what the person may play the game seriously on

I remember when I was a nub on iClassic i was confused that some guy with 2 hours was an admin when it just turns out it was his pc account...lol

Asteria 08-18-2015 04:02 PM

Make a new account then

G Fatal 08-18-2015 04:16 PM

it's not all about hrs, in total i have like 100hrs or something on my player acc on ol west, but have played graal for years and older than most of the players who play this game.. So I was hired awhile ago based on that I've been around for while, have experience of actually being staff before and a good attitude to working and not showing off/messing about 24/7(infact im stealth/patrolling like 9/10times).. also that I can do more than the set position.

p.s. fun fact, players who ask about there apps/moan/broadcast about hiring usually never make it.

iBreezy 08-18-2015 07:10 PM

I know where you come from, but you will see one day that it actually doesn't matter how long the player has played. If they got hired, they were hired for a reason. Like someone else had mentioned, it does not mean they can't do there job. If they do there job, thats all anyone can ask for right? They got hired for a reason, and just accept it. And don't say no one will hire you. I've submitted applications, re-applied also. I'm sure i wasn't accepted, but it won't stop me from trying. Just waiting for maybe someone to see something in me. Just wait, and if you are going to become a Deputy, you will. Just don't annoy people with it. If you're honestly helpful, maybe an admin will come across you and recommend you. Never know.

Santa Claus 08-19-2015 02:56 AM

Hous dont mean Sh*t at all. As long as you are mature and well a brain on how to handle things you should be fine and most likely get hired.

I have 500 hours on Ol West but over 10k on Classic, But I know most of the staff on Ol West and I am sure I can get a spot if I wanted to.

If there is any staff is rude screenshot it and send it ToonSlab

You don't have to shop at a store to work at said store.
You don't have to enjoy strip clubs to be a stripper.

Asteria 08-19-2015 06:32 AM

You don't have to be a banana to eat bananas.

Smity 08-19-2015 09:06 AM

Snope, although I understand what your saying it dose not take very long to learn the jist of the game, maybe 10 hours or so. When there hiring they don't base who they hire off your amount of hours, you might have afked 5k hours and know nothing, or you have come from another server and already know a lot about the game with 2 hours.

If they see potential in with the way you act and your attitude in general, your chances will sky rocket, they hire accordingly and who they think has a capacity to learn. It doesn't take long to learn the ropes of hosting, and being nice and helpful is in your personality and can't be taught.

Like they say, you can't teach an old dog new tricks or hence, you can teach anything to a new player, but habbits of old players are hard to break.

It does not take that many hours to learn the game. It's up to the higher ups(Sheriffs) to decide whether or not that person can be a Deputy. They keep a close eye on Deputies, such as myself - and ensure they are doing things at the best of their ability. Knowledge of the game and maturity is key - not the amount of hours.

If a Deputy is being rude to you - screenshot pm's or chat etc and contact support.toonslab.com

Have a nice day.

If you are concerned about certain Deputies not answering your questions then I would advise you to contact one of the Sheriffs in-game. In the mean time, just contact me if you have any questions.

Loore 08-19-2015 12:08 PM

What did you mean i have to ask sherrifs? like ask them why some deputies never answear my questions

I meant exactly what I meant. Contact a Sheriff if it's a problem regarding another Deputy. Please read my post again.

Loore 08-19-2015 12:16 PM

owhh kk thanks for the advice

Asteria 08-19-2015 05:22 PM

As Xenice said, maturity is key.
Making threads like this are a very bad thing if you're interested in being Deputy.
Maybe this job isn't for you or maybe if you try hard, one day, they will hire you.
Not every staff got hired as the first time, you know.

p.s. replying shut up to my comment on Indicators Theme Competition is a bad thing for you, remember, maturity is key.
