Final GST predictions.
 

We are now a week away from the GST What are your final predictions and if you have any reasons as to why you chose that team post that along with your prediction as well :D

Mixed
1st: Alumni - Imo will not change for a few GST's, extremely strong team with amazing chemistry and a strong bond, they've won 5 mixed gst's together how much better can you get.
(Just beware that I have a few picks for 2nd place)

2nd: WAR - This was extremely tough to pick for a few reasons, PT has "revived" the guild and half of these members are skt sparrer's so they definitely have a shot.

2nd: Blackout - Easily one of the top GSing guilds, only 1 gst under their belt but are an extremely good team, can take a round off of alumni so I'd put them up there.

3rd: SLX - Don't really see any other guilds making it to the top 3, even though the guild is seen as a joke they can guild spar well together so imo they'll go far.

Underdog's: zilla, bdb, Deity

iDevice
1st: Alumni - Same team as CRZ but with a few changes, extremely smart and strong team with great guild sparrers like nell, haze, yui, dark and ttt, expecting a double for the 2nd time for Alumni

2nd: NaBro - Sarahs team that she's had for 2 gsts, easily one of the top guilds for iDevice atm.

3rd: Vis (or one of their many guilds) - Always stick together no matter which 5 members are on their team/s, good chemistry and experienced members.

Mixed: Alumni

iDevice: Alumni

Notable sparrers to watch for in ALL guilds, both Mixed and iDevice that aren't usually viewed today or people don't give enough credit to imo:

Tom
Dae
Shadz
Ruke
Skull (in 1vX scenarios)
Haze

Just some off the top of my head I'm sure there are more I can't think of atm.

Mixed:

1)Alumni- I think it's pretty clear they are beast.

2) Deity- They have been practicing a lot lately and are better than Blackout and WAR currently. John, Skull, Alexx, Dae and Ruke have really good chemistry together and put in hours each day getting better whereas Alumni mixed doesn't.

3) SLX- They have a really strong PC Team and have been practicing a lot and they have chemistry from GSing in the past.

iDevice:

1) NaBro- Stacked with previous winners they have great chemistry and pretty much have been GSing together for a very long time they have great chemistry and communication.

2) Alumni- They done good last GST and combined with the newer players and the fact they are practicing more they can get to the finals again.

3) Satori- They have a pretty solid team and are great friends. I believe that they'll surprise quite a few people and get far.

Going to take a note out of Fulgores post and post Mixed and iDevice people that aren't viewed much:

omg only 27 weeks away until winter gst!! might as well start guessin now since every gst needs half a dozen threads. who gonna win?? :D

I'm just sad I don't even get to make them anymore cause 5 people make them before my official unofficial one..:(

i don't know much about idev teams. but some idevs impressed me as a gser.
- sarah, fro, cookie, deus, shadz, jose, toni.
i'd love to see them giving a hard time to other tough competitors.

blackout idk, really haven't seen them practice as a team. same with alumni.
war & deity. i haven't got a chance to face them at all, but i heard from the kik chat that they were good.

Yeah a few have really been working hard on their angles, I hope it really impresses the hopefully vigilant staff.

Our main problem in SLX is getting our core team to practice together. We also have people back out, not show up or get banned right before. There hasnt been one GST where we have had our main line up.

That being said.. Alumni will look very human this GsT not having Dante and Mk and will lose quarters or semis.
Deity, WAR or SLX takes it. Whichever team is able to practice with their cores and have them all show up on GST day.

These predictions and opinions are almost funny.

Gotta give a shoutout to tamara. He's been beasting it out and since Sarah can't spar as good as she could when she was in France because she keeps teleporting and freezing. Tamara definitely has shone in the past few days and shows us why he's one of the...if not the best iDevice sparrer.

All of the Classic sparrers from like 2005 are playing on Rommiel or one of those guilds.

iPhone kids are done for.

Rommiel always sucked and most Classic sparrers "from like 2005" were bottom of the barrel compared to other servers.

I'm not sure if the GUILD they're using on iClassic is rommiel, I just know all of the people like war hawk and abara are teaming.

all of the pcs who people claimed "would destroy every idevice here" when they first came over have turned out to be "somewhat good" at best, who cares if they came from a pc server lol they're all pretty average.

Mixed will be between Alumni, WAR, Blackout, and GTEAM
Can't see SLX contending because I don't see anything that has changed
Can't see Deity contending because I personally think the Alex guy and Felix are bad and they'd just get ate up by people on other teams like me, David, Brett, Prime, etc., Dae is smart though

iDevice will be between Alumni, Satori, and Rebellious
I don't know who VIS uses
Silver's team will probably do well
Can't see NaBro winning because I think some of them have GST nerves and they'll probably try and use some banned player(s)

Mixed: (Alumni)
iDevice: (BOZZ)

Mixed:
Alumni: always a contender
WAR: they have some really solid players
Deity: a lot of delay

Idevice:
Alumni: A lot of delay
WAR: Good team. A lot of people are overlooking this team.
VIS: Have won before. They can do it again.
Rebellious: They won last time!

Sorry , but if you expect alumni idev to win th you must be expecting yui to carry that team.You just ended up having to rec big headed vdrags members that aren't even good at using their own delay and lie about beating people....

I believe VIS is not doing the whole 3 teams thing they did last time so I think they will probably do good if they practice

I don't think the size of their heads will be an issue as long as they can fit into the GS arena

I didn't say they would win, just personally think they're 1 of 3 teams that have the best chance
They have done pretty well in the past 3 or 4 GSTs, I'm sure they'll do fine... I'm not the only one who listed them

Alumni won't enter the Mixed tourney if the GST is on the 5th instead of the 29th, couple people have told me it will be held on that date
At least 4 of our members won't be able to be online on that day (Dante, MK, David, possibly Fulgore and LR, not sure about Shannon) and I'm not interested in recruiting that many people

Well at least a different guild will get 1st.
(hopefully not gteam otherwise we'll never hear the end of it...)

GST is 29th. The registration appears Monday-Wrdnesday. If it's on the 5th it is not really Summer GST. Also pretty sure GST is every 3 months on the final Saturday of that month. If GST does end up being on the 5th it will be ******ed since lots of people move to college and **** in September.

I am aware they are not exactly the worst worst team , even if Tom does not delay that 1 out of 7 members.
You didn't say they would win , however you did put them in your top 3 most likely to win however I think that guilds like silver have a much higher chance.
Anyways I understand how you'd want to put your own team up there for motivation...

Haze, Tom, Vlad, Junior, none of these guys delay, and who cares even if they did

They weren't listed "for motivation" though, they were listed because they are one of the best teams and all of them have multiple GST placements to prove it, so I don't understand why you seem offended by my prediction, especially when everyone else also named them

most people i know are already in college and september is still "summer" until the 21st or whatever.

i'm only saying this to defend sept 5th being the possible gst date because i want to play!!!

Haze lags... he's a warping machine, or he uses a vpn if he doesn't lag sometime I have yet to see him not warp for more then 2 seconds he's to aggressive and rushes ends up walking in your sword! Haven't seen vlad in forever! Junior is just really fast good at singling people out! Tom doesn't lag or delay he's just good at not taking hits or trading hits if he takes one he never comes out short 80% of the time, he's a very patient player lacks a bit of teamwork is all I could say.
