well we know the worlds going to "end", and we know the date. its in billions of billions of years when the sun goes red giant and engulfs us all. basically the earth and the other close planets gets incinerated

yes, if we lasted that long and didnt have any major fallbacks in technology we would probably be able to leave the solar system by then.. but then again thats a lot of time till then, who knows what could happen.

oh dont worry, i find it more likely we will be either wiped out or sent back to the stone age by a full out world war by then, resulting in weapons of mass destruction. who knows, a super transferrable sickness that could be spread via animals could end up wiping us out except in the small secluded areas such as the amazon natives, if the forest hasnt been all cut down by then. we really dont know, i mean, a large comet or asteroid could be heading toward the earth, and even if we did make something it would be hard to divert it, and if they would only get one shot at it.if it hit it could cause major climate change and the dust in the air and whatever was in the asteroid could block out the sun, supposed it contained some unknown element that was deadly to life on earth.

we all have to go extinct some time. back in rome with Juilius Caesar the idea of Rome being defeated seemed impossible to them. just like now people seem to think that humans are somehow exempt from extinction.

If today was my last day, and I mean only I was going to die, I'd want to spend as much time left with my friends and family as possible. I don't think I'd do anything crazy ...until the last hour came at least.

Death can't be escaped regardless of how skilled you are.. And trying to avoid it isn't gonna span your lifetime by an extra day... So why not die on the day the world ends than trying to run away from it?
