Recently watched movies

What movies have you watched recently? What can you say about them for someone who hasn't watched it, would you recommend it, any questions about a movie you are interested in? Remember if you are going to give any spoilers, PUT SPOILERS IN SPOILER TAGS.

The last movie I watched was Terminator: Genisys. I was actually pretty impressed, after seeing Salvation I didn't expect much more from the series, however I thought the new movie was pretty good compared to some of the others. Its still the typical Terminator movie though so if you didn't enjoy the others then you probably won't like it.

I've been planning on seeing Straight Outta Compton, but have heard a few mixed reviews on it so I'm not too sure about it anymore, any opinions?

Basi 09-03-2015 03:37 AM

Straight Outta Compton was fantastic and accurate. The only things they left out were unimportant and irrelevant (like the fact that dre and suge knight have a baby by the same woman)

The movie is really good. I asked my mom if she knew what NWA was and she even said niq*as with attitude. Lol. I never knew they were that big of a deal. I especially never knew ice cube was that much of a rap person. I also never knew Eazy E
Spoiler

.

Would highly reccomend this movie. I would most definitely go see it again if my friends havn't already seen it.

Also Insidious 3 was a decent scary movie. Still havn't found any movies that scare me because they are all so predictable but this movie is not bad.

Sinister 2, wouldn't really reccomend. Not scary at all and the ending is lame.

The new poltergeist movie is ******ed, don't see it unless you want a cheesy "scary" movie.

Mangsi 09-03-2015 05:45 AM

I saw Silence Of The Lambs for the first time like last month, not a new movie but I enjoyed it.

Nanner 09-03-2015 06:48 AM

A million ways to die in the west is a funny and good movie. You should check that out. *Don't watch with parents!*

Hannibal rising is one of the best of the series

Watched Ant Man a while ago
Had doubts going into it but I genuinely enjoyed it

Spoiler
Antony dies wtf :(

twilit 09-03-2015 08:06 PM

Last movie I watched was probably Interstellar. Lol Matthew McConaughey... in space-- shouldve known right there that this movie was doomed.

I enjoyed it most of the way through, but then
Spoiler
the part where Matthew McConaughey falls into a black hole, somehow communicates with his past self with some paranormal activity BS, escapes the ****ing black hole, and ****ing lives.
That made me really mad. Gravity (Lol Sandra Bullock in space) had some inaccuracies too, but at least that one was believable.

5hift 09-03-2015 08:10 PM

Snatch.

Its quite a ****ing thing.

See I actually liked that part because before when they got the morse code message I just thought it was absolute bull**** cause it seemed to be unexplained at the time. The explanation didn't bother me all that much because it was a science fiction film.

Haven't been able to see it, but I saw this article a couple days after it was released. Hopefully I can make it this weekend to see the actual story line and what years were included.

I watched Pitch Perfect over the weekend. I'm a guy and I think it's a great movie. There's comedy throughout the whole movie, it's hilarious. And anyone who says that movie is for girls obviously hasn't seen...
Spoiler
the scene with Brittany Snow and Anna Kendrick :)

Plus Rebel Wilson is hilarious.

Haven't seen them but the perfect guy looks bad & cheesy. I hear the visit's good, but I don't want to forever be afraid of my grandparents again so I'm not watching that movie :D

Brick 09-17-2015 06:02 AM

Recently saw MirrorMask. One of the weirdest movies I've ever seen. Don't watch it sober.

All of them were, except for one, Les Miserables. I thought that it would be better of a stage play rather than a Movie.

Don't ya think so?

Ex Machina was a really good movie on artifical intelligence.

Attack on Titan live-action was also really good IMO.
(already out in Japan)

I wasn't going to post on this thread but you mentioned a musical, so

Les Mis is good, I liked it. Some parts no, but yea, the stage musical is better.

Nanner 09-19-2015 04:48 AM

Just watched the Visit. Wasn't that bad. I slowly understood it at the end and was able to connect the obvious pieces. It's also pretty funny. Not really scary but more of a creepy movie. Hehe I'm gunna get u

Nanner 09-20-2015 05:56 AM

That movie had some pretty intense scenes for 7 year old me...

I feel like re-watching that to better understand it.

Interstellar is 90% full of scientific terms, but it is a pretty good movie. I feel like a lot of the plot was left unexplained, but overall pretty cool/mysterious.

I loved Interstellar, it was kind of shaky at first and it feels like it is missing some sort of introduction but once it gets going I really loved it. The only point in the movie that I'd say was bad was when Brand went off with her little speech about the power of love, only time I can ever recall myself audibly groaning during a movie.

PigParty 09-21-2015 08:31 PM

Just watched 'Seven Pounds' and it was very good.
