Towering competition all time low
 

I feel like everyone's off to college or uni, and no good guilds are towering anymore, so a,my noob guilds getting hours and everyone's homing and stuff. It's rather boring, that's why I quit towering and went to pking with friends. A lot of pro guilds are now gone :(

yeah i just realized when Soul of Ninja came back with this girl named Emi. She just lag AFK (on purpose!!) in front the flag. but didn't care much other than that, i pretty much got ~200 kills every 30 minute.

Agreed. This didn't really require a thread, or did you expect the Classic community on here - which is about 75% sparrers - to be like "Oh! Right! Towers need us to take them!"

After towering for so long, it is indeed boring. Only thing I achieve from it is meeting new people. Other than that, it sucks the life out of you.

The point of Graal Classic and the rest of the servers is to ruin lives. and hope that no one realizes what's happening to them in such a weird way

That is a fun way to communicate with people on the forums, however, that was not my thread nor have I contributed, therefore I don't think you can really include that in your argument against mine.

This thread is complaining about stuff which cannot really be helped because it involves player motivation, not game mechanics.

If "towering" = farming and watching youtube, then yes, "towering" is indeed fun.

Tower has been low for quite a while, especially considering I was able to do 3 consecutive 1ks which would not have been possible before due to the competition. Most don't really use noobs it's just that you don't have anyone to compete with you.

Towering was trashed after they deleted the fb server and all of the inbreds cameback to the main server

towering will always be a social cuddlefest until you can no longer recruit and kick members with no consequence

that has been stated numerous times, and being limited to one ally would be great (actual allied seperate guild, not a sub spot)

Loyal guilds, towering with friends, more guilds to fight over each tower.

Maybe now would be a great time for that DP Tower Guild idea you started to organize.

It wouldn't matter, no one or two guilds will make a change in what towering currently is

Towering was (probably, since I wasn't around for it) competitive when it first became a thing because it's fresh, new, everyone wants those early records, everyone wants to be the best the fastest, etc.

Time passed and people adjusted and now there's some sort of a meta and every new towering guild follows that same model, which is to make a guild, ally just about everyone possible, recruit just about everyone possible, and make an effort to achieve 1k hours in the most painless way possible

That will never change until it's forced, but honestly I'm not even sure if it needs to be changed... Apparently a lot of people seem to enjoy it, since there are always people towering
We complain on these forums about it, but maybe towering is best as some stale two-month social experience that guilds are currently getting out of it

I enjoyed my time in at least 4 of the 5 tower guilds I ran, but I can honestly say it wasn't a very competitive or engaging gameplay experience
