Slow development
 

Let me get to the point straight up, the development of iEra is moving really slowly like seriously what is going on? The management team is promising all these major dates for certain releases (Countryside) but it's been delayed a year from now, there is still a whole heap of glitches to patch. There was even no quest for Halloween this year. Am I the only one who's awake? are we the only ones who are awake? we're giving each individual servers great ideas, but it's like no one wants to consider them. The staff team can find time to host events but not prioritise the important jobs that are needed to be done. Really? Someone needed to tell Era to wake up, this is my way of giving you guys a slap in the face. Wanna keep people on the server more? get off your butts and move for god damn it!

Mmm era is faster then classic with the updates.

4 updates, 2-3 promised by Snk him self, countryside is missing a few stuff but from the looks of it, they got lazy to finish it or someone told the lats to work on something else and forget countryside for now, it's really like missing 5-10 levels that can be done in 1 day.

Countryside is missing mainly scripting and graphics work.
We only have 1 real scripter (dan doesn't count because he's a guest i think) and that's snk.
He's too busy with general maintenance and holidays to work on other content. Not a lot we can do

I wouldn't blame the staff but the Graal-Management. They don't really care how progress is done as long as they get their money. I mean, imagine staff being payed for their work with money? Or have professional people to that crap work? But nah, someone's too poor to pay for that. :'(

Why does the server even need more development? You sheep would play anything.

But you guys see that multiplex building I heard a new gun with changeable stats is going to be sold there and I hope it's somewhat cheep

Dan still a scripts if i'm correct,
when i was a staff on it, it did not need a lot of things.
Maybe just levels done, from the looks, everything was almost finished
but maybe i'm wrong.

Dan's have been super busy IRL and can't commit the time needed to get CS done as far as I'm aware.

He has a family irl and a job.
He comes on occasionally but is a guest and not a member of the "scripting team" really.
Same as meph, he works when he wants to or can and has rights but is not a member of the "team" in the way that he has to meet deadlines ect.

Shouldn't confuse the PR-Team with the Development-Team

I would say greedy/douchy/smart would be a better representation of the bread one.

1. Greedy- wants to maximize profit by reducing his costs to basically paying for hosting services.
2. Douchy- not caring about exploiting these young suckers for their time.
3. smart- why pay for stuff you can legally get for free.

Something about graal makes people desperate for attention and recognition. That's how you end up with players playing for 10+ years and developers putting in countless of hours for an ungrateful owner and a ungrateful community. 90% of developers that tell you they develop as a hobby are full of poop. I would say Fp4 is one of the few exceptions.

I think the staff team is just as frustrated with the lack of content as the players are. People however often forget the staff team is made up of entirely volunteers and many of the capable developers are up there in age compared to the rest of the player base. They have more responsibilities in real life to tend to.

We've recently rehired john, but we don't have many scripters.
We'll have a big christmas this year so come and see :)

We were supposed to have a big Halloween too but from what I have heard on Era Go a good portion of it was delayed. Hopefully the content from it finds good use if used at all, it's way too late now to release spooky Halloween stuff lol.

Don't forget presents with a chance of guns inside them. Only thing I see why Reno said that is countryside being releaaed but even then the hype died down for that.

CS doesn't have a confirmed release date and even if it did I wouldn't leak it. Even internal release dates are vague ideas at best.
