Anyone here play? Thoughts? What level are you?

Still trying to understand the REQ's and things but yeah.

Just got my Xbox One yesterday for trading in my 360 and bought the Halo 5 edition, it's pretty ****ing sick in my opinion.

I'd probably give it a 7/10 right now. I feel like in general it doesn't have that old Halo feel to it. The only playlist I really enjoy at the moment is Warzone which I got banned from the other day actually lol. I can only play so much of it before I get bored.

I really like the feel in this one honestly. It feels more "quick" in a way. And makes a lot more sense to me (the armor abilities all put into one).

It feels very fast-paced and I'm really enjoying it haha.

I just hit level 12 earlier after having it for one day, got my Fotus armor.

I'm just wondering though, do you only unlock stuff through REQs? (Like armor fo r example) or do you get them other ways?

Combat Evolved is still the best :giggle:

I literally HATED the end as well. I feel you. I honestly don't know why they made Cortana the buy guy so fast. It shocked me.

I did enjoy watching Chief beat Locke's ass though haha.

Isn't the max level like 152?

I guess for me it feels too competitive based. I can't quite put my finger on it, but one primary problem I might have with it are some of the maps. I really like creative, beautiful maps and that's one thing 343 doesn't seem to do well in my opinion. Warzone maps are pretty solid, and there are a couple I like in the Arena, but in general it feels cramped.

Yeah I agree on that. Do you know why they didn't add forge in though??
I was let down when it wasn't apart of the game.

Also I really dislike how there aren't a lot of outside/earth-looking maps. They mostly made it space looking or on a ship, let down.

Really hoping they add in some forge sooner or later, and grifball.

Yeah, the Halo 3 maps were my favorite and Halo: Reach had some pretty good ones too. Forge won't be added until December, but apparently it's supposed to be really awesome. I think that will help the game out a lot if they added custom maps and gametypes to the playlist.

Forge should be out in a little over a month. According to 343, this will be the largest forge mode in Halo's history. It will have the largest forge specific maps as well as 1,600 unique items (not sure about that number). So I'm looking forward to that though because forge in Halo has always essentially been a game on its own to me.

Oh wow. This is great! I know that next week they're adding 40 new REQs and big team battle (finally.)

I pretend that halo 4 and 5 don't exist, They killed the franchise for me and it's a shame because Halo was the first FPS I've played and I have fond memories of it.

Same here but I really enjoy Halo 5. It's a lot more competitive and they also included a "Combat Evolved" medal. Look up "Halo 5 Combat Evolved Medal" on YouTube to see what I mean. ;) I found this earlier on accident.

First halo game I'm not sure if I should get or not. I played the beta and it was meh, my brother has the game he plays it but he thinks it's kinda meh as well. I might be just halo'ed out. I have the MCC and when I play I only stick to Halo 2 classic since that's my childhood game. Still debating with myself if I should skip on this one though.

Love halo 5. Mostly play warzone and swat though, im pretty good at both these.

loving halo 5 slightly less than Reach, the only part I hate is the fact you can't check the other players names in the lobby and with Ground Pound, it's so hard to land ninjas instead of beat downs :'(

Well i don't know if this is amazing or anything, but this is by far the most boss kills i've got in a game, and the most points as well. Shame i couldn't get the lucky 2000.

P.S I edited out my gamertag because i don't want people sending friend requests or messages.

That's definitely something I haven't done before haha. I think the most I've gotten was around 3 or 4 if I focused. But usually I go into warzone for the massive EXP and to get kills.

Yeah, I think it was more luck than anything. Since there wasn't many people going for the bosses, what is quite unusual.

there was this one warzone i went into. got the highest boss kills, 6. got highest kills 48. and assassinated the warden eternal for the victory. why am i good at this game 1/10 times and then i go completely negative?!

So I bought Halo 5 and war zone assault and team death match are definitely my favourite game types so far, missing infection though which I really enjoyed on reach and halo 3.

Currently a gold 5 in team death match hoping to get into the platinum ranks and maybe diamond but being put into teams with players that leave or afk or maybe don't even know what they're doing doesn't help!

Yeah when infection is added halo 5 will probably become my top played game if they have classic infection and some sort of objective based infection, eg a one where the survivors have to get to an end point while the infected try and stop them or something like that

that basically sounds like left4dead with competitive multiplayer

Infection is being added in the "Memories of Reach" update, which I think is tomorrow! :D

5/12 is the stream, and from the pattern of content drops usually the update is the day after.

Halo 5 recently had the most active monthly users since 2007 Halo 3.

And it's really doing great lately.

Also, anyone from Halo Reach remember the plasma launcher?
I was in the new gamemode Warzone Firefight and I saw a grunt using it and when
I killed the grunt it dropped.

But when I picked it up it was a total bugged gun (I don't even know
if it's supposed to be in-game TBH.)

Sometime this next week I'm inviting 16 players to come play on the minigame Jenga Tower from Halo Reach and Halo 4. It will be recorded and put on youtube and I plan on making a few more old minigames (or new ones) for future recordings.
Basically it's just a huge tower and the one person on the other team is trying to knock off all players on the tower.

It's a fun minigame and brings back a lot of memories tbh.

Deleted halo 5 awhile back as it took up ALOT of room on my xbox, plus i got bored of it and my fireteam i used to play with don't play it anymore, either.

Has anyone ever created garbage man from reach etc in h5? What about minotaur from h4?

I actually want to make my own little minotaur map. It would be pretty sick. I've seen a few on Halo 5 already that were impressive but it's always cool to have different maps on it.

I'd get back into Halo 5 if it had the same re-playable value as Halo Reach, but unfortunately it doesn't.

I just made this for fun because I'm pretty sure every Halo player has experienced this. :P
