Just noticed this today...
I played GraalOnline for a long time...
But I just noticed today that Graal uses Legend Of Zelda style/theme. Picking up things. The characters. even bushes. |
No ****.
It's based off of Zelda. No ****. |

Wow I never noticed that! Holy **** dude we need to tell everyone about this.
|
yeah, pretty cool when you first realize it, it's directly from A Link to the Past which is probably far before most of the times of people who play now
pretty understandable that younger people wouldn't immediately see it |

Funny that Triforce Heroes(released last month) allows you to pick up other players... a feature that Graal has had since 1998(I think) :).
GRAAL DID IT FIRST! |
I remember when I got on graal for the first time and I was like
Wait this looks really familiar |
1998
|
I wanna pick up people
|
I'm telling Nintendo!

Part of what i dislike most about Graal Classic is that it is still very much directly a rip-off of the original map—and this should to be changed. Otherwise, it is a great game

Either way, I think there is a lot of potential with the swamp that isn't being used—as well as the Graal castle. The current Graal castle is a real eye sore, anyway … Would love to see it redone. It used to look a lot scarier, condemned, felt more royal, and even had a canon. http://www.graalians.com/forums/atta...1&d=1447187147 |
it should be more like chrono trigger where im the hero and ur all losers

In Zelda Hyrule Castle is always the center of the map. In Graal, Graal City holds that position. The only vague similarity is that Swamp town is south of a river that cuts the land into two land masses, north and south. Other than that, Graal's Castle lies to the west. The older versions of the map are even less similar, as the desert was near MoD instead of the south with Destiny. To say that it's a direct rip-off of LttP is a vast overstatement. |
http://www.graalians.com/forums/atta...1&d=1447187147 this map looks way better than the current one

Graal map as of now has so many things in common with the LoZ:Lttp. As the woods in the far left and the circus in mod equals a blocked off path. The bottom left represents the mountains and swamp has mountains (go in swamp tower to get a better look) Top right equals sardons/onett and the path to get there. Bottom right is the ocean in destiny adjacent to the blocked off desert in graal.

Graal is obviously a Zelda rip off, but I still love it.

did you come here to delete something derpy? lol |

C'mon, guys. Konidas made the tiles super not-Zelda.
|
I like that Graal remains quite reminiscent of the LoZ games, namely LttP. Was never really able to get into many of the Zelda games playing alone (with the exception of Minish Cap and Phantom Hourglass), and Graal (Classic iPhone) has served as a suitable replacement for solo play.
I do realize that Graal is essentially just a chatroom with customizable avatars at this point, but still gives off strong Zelda vibes. |
Okaaaaay...I can't believe such a thing like this would make 2 pages of post...
this is even my first thread... |

The original game name was zelda until they git sued and delta island is a zelda island

The name was not changed because of a lawsuit. It was changed in fear of one.
