Getting DDos'd

Idk how to stop it, its ruining my fun I cant do a thing, Idk whose doing it or whod wanna do it but yeah. Anyway to stop or prevent it? Itd be really helpful.

Fogles 11-15-2015 04:25 AM

You can't really stop it unless your IP Address can be changed. Then covering your Digital Footprint, ie, new skype, etc.

A new skype cant help you, as Long as the hacker has any of the names of your skype accounts, your ip will still be logged onto them.

Theres a way you can hide your ip on skype but if someone already has your ip saved they can still atack you.
As Long as you dont Change your IP address, nothing will prevent the attacks from Happening, try contacting the hacker and convince him to stop if you cant do anything else atm imo, or just try switching to 4G or 3G, since ddosing data is like throwing a feather against a steel wall.

Or just ykno
eat some cereal
enjoy a good book
stuff
become a Serial killer

^ also this; idk if it works since I tried unplugging a few times etc. and it never actually helped with my ddos Problems but maybe it works for you !

I've said it over and over again. Change your skype settings to receive calls from contacts only.

If you are still getting ddosed, check which of your contacts is doing it.

Thats why a new Skype helps you...........................he's implying you make a new Skype account.

Yea, but if he resolved the IP on the old skype acc he would still get the IP address ..........

Ash Ketchum 11-15-2015 10:35 AM

Call your ISP and ask them to change it for you (do this after you make a new Skype account with safety precautions)

No they wouldn't, because he would stop using the old account and they wouldn't know the new one.

The steps are:

get the *** off skype
have your IP changed (sometimes unplugging your modem for a lil while and plugging it back in works, otherwise contact ISP)
make a new skype account once your IP has changed
log into new skype account and never touch your old one again while in a network that you dont want ddos'd (aka home)

Or in my case I kindly ask Fogles to not DDoS me and he says ok. So civil!

on the old one... not the new one.. if he enabled the Connection for friends Thing only where they cant resolve his IP then I would understand it but even as long as someone has his actual current IP they can still attack his wifi
i give up

First thing Fogles said is to change your IP...it is assumed that you log off Skype and don't log back on again until you have a new IP + account.

thx wise crono

Just change the footprint so a Skype resolver can't pull your IP anymore. I'll look for an easy tutorial tonight if you wish.

What makes you so sure you are getting DDOS? It might just be your connection

I would lose connection whilst having my internet, I couldnt connect to anything in the house except my phone which ran on data. Once in a while it would stop then it'd start again.
I contacted my company, and they werent sure what the problem was so I just restarted my modem like they instructed.

Sounds like its just connection issues and not a DDOS attack. Do you suspect anyone that would DDOS you anyways?

No but there was this one moment yesterday morning when this random fella contacted me on kik with my information asking "uhm is this u" obviously I said no, but theyre under suspiscion. It only showed info on my kik account but that was it and it was sketchy so I made a new kik, otherwise no reason for snyone to target me.

You're wrong. It is me, you beat me in that spar 7 months ago? Revenge is sweet.

I'm kidding, of course. I hope that you can sort that all out. Though I agree with Ash, that that kind of sounds like connection issues and not being a DDoS attack, but at least you'll know for sure once you get your IP changed.

SomeGuy 11-15-2015 10:12 PM

If you want it to stop, you'd better meet my demands...or else. 2 days left livid...two days. A simple thing i ask, and yet you cannot deliver!
