Sir 01-04-2016 09:26 PM

friend suggested graal or runescape in 2006 and I didn't like graal so I went with runescape.
then in 2010 searching for Zelda in the App Store

Eugeen 01-04-2016 09:30 PM

I've always been into rpg based games and I enjoyed Zelda aswell so stumbled upon Zelda Online and that's how I got to know graal, only really started playing it until it was released on mobile though

Albie 01-04-2016 09:33 PM

Saw my brothers friend playing it in 2010. Downloaded the app but didn't really touch it till 2015.
Thanks for showing me this game Captain Cheescake!

Bram- 01-04-2016 09:36 PM

Got an ipad1 and searched "online" in the appstore and graal is what I GOT

Wolfie 01-04-2016 10:09 PM

My friends at the babysitter played it, so I downloaded it too. This was back in 2011 or 2012 I believe when I was 11 or 12

Saint Doke 01-04-2016 10:14 PM

God, I think it was January or April of 2010 when I first bought my iPod 2nd gen.

I was just chillin' on my couch browsing through all the stuff, I remember looking up "boobs"... Didn't find anything good.

So I went onto the suggested stuff and I saw iClassic, downloaded it, killed some plebs, got killed by some plebs, permanently messed up my spar ratio, started talkin like this lolz! U mad dude? Jeez its just a prank u noob.

Loads of fun till around 2013/14.

I remember playing Graal for the PC back in 2008 on UN and Classic, thats it though, nothing funny there besides me getting roasted.

Wanted to play a game with my friend that came over to break the tension. So I suggested we played an online game. Searched "Online Game" in the AppStore and here I am now.

Looking on suggested games after I got pocket starships mmo

Zetectic 01-05-2016 12:10 AM

by searching online games on the app store. i downloaded it on my sisters ipod along with pocket legends
there weren't a lot of games back then, like when angry bird was #1. so graal wasn't hard to find in online gaming section.

years later, i got my own ipad
lazy to retype vvvvv

In 2010, My sister got her ipod touch as a Christmas gift. I downloaded bunch of games on her ipod.
One of them was Graal. I had to delete the game, because it wasn't my ipod.

In late 2011, I got my ipad as a birthday gift. When I first got it, I only played a game called 'Buddy Rush', but as soon as level cap was reached, I was tired and bored of it. So I was romping around the app store and got tons of 3D multiplayer games.
If you can recall, in 2011 there weren't many apps that were 3D AND Real time MMO. I gave up searching for 3D games, then I found Graal. I was like ohh I remember this game. Starting all over again, it was very fun.

Having a game like Graal in my hand was amazing. 2012, I got my ipod, so I would go to school and show it to my friends.
2013 went to high school, got my own desktop and started to play graal on PC. Which was amazing.
2013-15 keep making graal videos for my youtube channel whenever i have my time available.

BTW this is a great thread, bring my happy nooby memories back =)

Was looking for an online game on the appstore and saw Graal Classic. The servers were down one day so I went to iEra. Shortly got hacked on Classic later.

Urban Dictonary: Graal babies. Was look up why babies were annoying sometimes, and accidnely clicked on the link

Kappa 01-05-2016 05:02 AM

My brother had iClassic on his phone, I guess one of his friend recommended it, I would normally go on his iphone when i was bored, I Loved it at first because it looked just like the zelda game on my gameboy (a link to the past i think?)

Pr0m4N V.14 01-05-2016 05:09 AM

A link to the past was NOT on the Gameboy.

Lagger 01-05-2016 06:07 AM

absolutely no clue

TarePanda 01-05-2016 10:52 AM

I searched MMORPG on the AppStore and scrolled through many apps and Graals icon just catched my eye.

Vic 01-05-2016 01:07 PM

My neighbor was talking to another neighbor at the bus stop about how he finally saved up enough gralats for a pink horse. I eavesdropped.

Bluegoob 01-05-2016 03:25 PM

My brother was playing Graal with his friend one day and i followed, sadly only i play today

KristenGW 01-05-2016 09:57 PM

I was watching an ad on CoC and the Graal Classic app icon was on the iPhone in the ad

Comyt 01-05-2016 11:35 PM

had an ipod 2g way back in the day and "bomber online" which is now "battle online" was one of the most popular games in the app store (and one of the only games in the app store). i sucked at it and only played for a week or so and then dinosmash was released (same company) and i moved there. no idea how i did it, but i was easily a top 3 player on dinosmash at 12 years old. graal came out (still same company) and all my friends on dinosmash moved there, i moved with them and joined iggy's clan, sage. basically just hopped between eurocenter apps. toonslab is an awful company name in my opinion btw.

Klay 01-05-2016 11:52 PM

I first learned about Graal in or around 2007-08 when the kid I sat next to on the bus ride to school would be editing heads and bodies with his laptop for whichever Graal server he played on. Then January 2010 whilst looking for a Zelda game on my iPod touch 2g I recognized the name Graal, and decided to download it.

Still not sure if I regret that decision or not.

The Doctor 01-05-2016 11:57 PM

In 2010 or so, I happened to find it trending on the top charts on the App Store

TWIZ 01-06-2016 12:18 AM

Survival of the fittest -- I searched MMORPG in the app store in 2010 and downloaded pretty much every game that came up, and Graal was the only that survived, so I went with it.

A link to the past was NOT on the Gameboy.

Well, A Link to the Past did come out on Gameboy Advance (with Four Swords), and there was a development project to put Graal on Gameboy at one time.

I was clicking through a Zelda webring, found a mention of Zelda Online, looked for more info about Zelda Online, and ended up finding Graal.

Thom 01-06-2016 06:36 PM

Found an article in a pc gaming magazine in the mid nineties about this unofficial Zelda Online game. 1996 is when I first played Graal Online, good times. 1997 was truly the golden era of Graal Online when people still played. Too bad Stefan (the creator of Graal) died in that terrible car crash in 2008.

I don't remember too well because it was like 6-7 years ago but I think I was looking through the genres in the app store (was it adventure that I was looking for?) and found Graal.

My player was born in the Night's Moonlight Pub in Onnet Town. I remember that I thought that room was the game, was like "wtf is this even?" and nearly went to close and delete the game...but then I found the door out and my life changed forever.

And how did you start working for Graal as your job?

And how did you start working for Graal as your job?

They tricked me into it. Not even kidding...

I was in a graphics guild branch of a guild called "Cruxis", owned by Trigger who was the GATA at the time. I forgot what the branch was called but I'm pretty sure it started with a "V"...Santa would probably know what it was called since he was in another branch.

Anyway, the graphics branch of that guild often sent in their own graphics submissions to sell in holiday shops. The first hat I made that ever got sold was this one sold on St. Patrick's Day:

http://i.imgur.com/9DcNmqf.gif
(I know it sucks lol)

I submitted hats up to cinco de mayo I think...I, as well as the other members of the graphics branch, talked to Trigger a lot about their submissions and such...so on May 16th (yes I remember the day I was hired...) Trigger asked me to help him test something on the server. After a series of doing all this stuff he asked me to do (which was setting up my staff account..only I didn't know that at the time), I ended up getting hired. I wasn't asked or told, but I couldn't complain...it was super exciting at the time lol.

Just to add on: I did send in a GP application once, but that had nothing to do with my hiring as I sent it long before I was actually hired as GFX

Zara 01-07-2016 06:53 PM

It was like 2011 when I was 10 just searching online games on my Ipod 2nd gen (I think).I found Graal but never got the hang of it.So, I kept deleting and re downloading till 2014, when I started playing properly.

WaFFL3Cake 01-08-2016 11:26 PM

Now that I am redirected to this thread, in 2010, I played a game on my iPod 3g called Epic Pet Wars. My friend Fatedog recommended Graal to me.
