Squad deleting input?
 

What would you guys say would be a good measure for when it's ok to delete a squad? The factors I'm looking for include a cutoff for a certain amount of tower time, a certain amount of time a leader needs to have been offline for (example: 180 days), and how long every member should have been off for. The reason to delete squads is to free up that squad name that would no longer be in use since its members have quit, so that current players can have more freedom to express themselves with their squad.

when the leader has not been on for 96-230 days

When a majority of players have been off and its under 100hrs

When no member is on tag after 5 months

Change it to 365 days.

My squad was deleted on Zone due to my inactivity. (180+ days)

What about squad hours? Wouldn't want to be deleting inactive squads that have a good amount of hours.

I think their should be option to pay like 2k so squad is never removed

The future: a noob creates a squad, *pays extra 2k for permanent ownership* then quits after a few months or so. (Aka. Squad name forever lost)

like who the fk cares make another guild with a unique different name. squads shouldn't be deleted at all really unless its like drastic amount of time i.e 2years where the guilds hasn't even been on or took a base.. as many people i've known have took like a year out then played bit after that. just destroys history of server really. noobs sees that obsidian had 1000's of hours obs died out ..noob creates obsidian ... who's obsidian ..oh just some noobs guild they were never big look they got 1min of forttime .blahblahblah

I agree, but guilds were previously deleted without ANY regard to tower time. Guilds with hundreds of hours were deleted so I want to come up with better requirements to decrease that as much as possible if they do continue deleting inactive guilds.

May I ask why are they gonna clear squads? To open new squad domains to everyone else? Or is it because Zone is running out of space?

It's to clear up names that others might want for inactive squads.

Like I understand the point of the legacy factor. Like nobody wants there squad to be deleted because it's full of memories.

But then some squads should be deleted. Like i don't think it's fair for a squad like Mr K's to have taken a good name and just not continue... because they weren't even originally called that. But yet we can't use it now since they have good hours... BUT THEY NEVER USE IT. LIKE HIS NOOB ACCOUNT EVEN OWNS IT!

I don't think a lot should be deleted. I think it should be case by case. Instead of automatically deleting squads under a certain category, you should wait for people to ask for a squad to be deleted with reasons why. If they're good enough reasons then delete em.

But also do we give refunds? Honestly if we don't... give us them. And if we do, give us more than the price of it. Give us the price of it(and allies if we had) and an extra 1k for inconvenience.

But I don't think a year of inactivity is a good reason for deleting. That just discourages people to stop playing which is horrible. It also just makes people want to come back less knowing they don't have squad. Like IDK how "Currently Unavailable"(name before Sangue) was still up when I came back on Zone after like two years. Hopefully nobody wanted it... lelz. But if i didn't have it(well lets be real- I would have forgotten I had a squad), I woulda been mad and just not continue to play.

Like Obs, no. COM, no. etc etc. Like there is an Atoms, Atoms II, and an Atoms III on era. like wth m9. We deleted the gangs to make a point... but that's just like disrespectful as poop.

I do however think that things like Offline should be allowed for the trolls. Or like how we have some really inappropriate names... like really bad. Please tell me how Hentai Lovers was allowed. Or Like ********s. or even my own Hermaphrodites. like wot? we can't say things like gay, but we can say hermaphrodites... idk about you but if i were a kid i'd be more disgusted by hermaphrodites than gays.

The whole squad system on every server is kinda broken. But that's because it's player controlled for the most part and there are no official rules. Make rules for them which are concrete. I think if y'all did that people wouldn't mind as much. Like i said, handle name transferring on a case by case basis but also have regulated rules for it so there aren't conflicts.
