If the paid artist is someone like elk, it sure won't get messed up as well buddy.

Last one made by a paid artist for Zone was ugly graphic-wise with gradients, but it was creative. I'll give them that.

FromTheInside I can tell you I have faith in the one/s working behind the scenes for zone. over and out.but things will take awhile.

It also depends on the directions given. I believe Tashkin was going in a different direction than what we plan on doing with this tileset.

Like Tash said on Twitch, he changed it like 3 times in a short amount of time. The fact that we are having another tile set done doesn't just reflect on the staff, it reflects on the players. Besides maybe like 13 people I can't name a single Zonian that actually actively gives their voice.

When talking about all the staff, Tash and FR were talking about how nobody really matters besides the Devs and the Manager, and "Even then they aren't important". Graal is a player based game.

Like yea there's us that actually care, but nobody takes initiative besides us and actually says their opinions on a short scale.

Like if you privately ask people for their opinions they'll tell you but only then. Like the players have the power, here's a PSA- do something about it.

Like the tile set never matches. Like if we are a post apocalyptic place... like why are we using good steel? Shouldn't it be scraps?

If it's a super advanced state- why do we use steel to begin with when we have force fields?(kind of some of the reasoning as for why I throw away some of those other theories)

To be fair, it is kind of a hassle to have to read anything you write because every sentence starts with "like," you organize it into about 50 different unnecessary 1-2 sentence paragraphs, and you use references, false analogies, and other stuff that all in all just makes it a pain. Very rarely can someone get a clear translation of anything you've written.

Not only is it more grammatically correct to separate topics, personally I can't stand reading things without rhythm and I attempt to keep all of my writings under some sort of 4-5 or 6-7.

(as for the like thing, like is an actual transition. It shows similarity but a contrast. Personally I even use it on formal writing as it's really easy to set up emphasis with. For example, my prep for last year started with like "Like I have a lot of better things to do with my life than do this prep. Like I have a lot of friends that are probably lonely. Like I have tons of games just on my shelf. However, I refuse to fail." Got an A in the class. So shush before you actually take a class which explains modes of writing in depth... Plus like I've said, I attempt to write naturally. I type what I think in my head and I use a lot of likes.

Like "The I have a dream" speech started with I Have A Dream over 15 times. It started with "With" over 17 times. Its also written in fragments.

Try calling that masterpiece hard to read k.

You think I don't know about parallel structure, emphasis, and rhythm? If you showed one of your posts to a college professor, he would point out about fifty thousand grammatical errors. Not only that, but he would actually look at your rhetorical techniques and say that it adds absolutely no emotional emphasis on what you write. It isn't rhythm, it's repetitive uselessness. It's almost eyestraining.

Oh, and if you've actually taken a class and gotten "all" of the credits, you've also probably learned about audience. Keep in mind that this is a forum where the majority of people probably aren't even in high school yet.

Ok anyways, i think zone needs more of a utopian feel, like cooler/chill colors, its brightness and cartoon-like appearence doesnt quite fit it. Darker cooler colors will allow us to add more illuminated structures and stuff, making it so its not bright because everything just happens to be bright, but brighter in places (lighted roadways, building, objects) to give off that "futuristic" feeling to it.

My point is, you can't judge someone for misinterpreting what you wrote when you didn't even consider who your audience might be (which I assume you learned in your writing course). That's a logical fallacy, which I also assume you learned about in your writing course.

I agree, maybe those floating rock masses could be like "islands" on the gmap. I think skyworld should be floating over a venus-like planet. It would make sense when considering the dense lower atmosphere and the thinner earth-like upper atmosphere.

Or make there be bases on one big massive open hostle world and you can go around the whole planet( Maybe even the ability to go around the circumference of the planet) but if you think about it all the amazing ideas we have can't be really implemented on this server without changing or removing something else. I know and love zone but if we were to make a amazing game we need a new server. All of our ideas are too game changing for the server it's a new server or nothing we can be nice to the older players buy giving them stuff and keeping their hats and looks and stuff and maybe give them some special privileges. But I clearly see our current zone needs to be completely be scrapped and redone

Skybases could kinda be like those floating pillars in star wars. Not really connected, just floating nearby. It would kinda make the whole concept cooler since its kinda weird to just rage war on the streets... But like to rage war for a Capitol building which is fancy? That's legit.

Speaking of which; zone noobs- give us money from basing at gem skybase and aqua via the nearby shops k.

@Alexmo I think you bring up the valid point that is really evident but really sad. We give off so many good suggestions. Nothing gets done. Like even when Tash literally ran both the forums and the game... Nothing got done.

Like if they maybe listened to us players, say 1 year ago, we wouldn't have to do this now when it's on the brink of being impossible since at this point any change almost creates a whole different server.

Honestly, as sad as this may seem- Zone needs to be scrapped.

Everything except for items and stats should be deleted and handled as if it's a new server.

Like missions are almost useless for the majority of us, jobs are tedious and not worth, even basing gets insane.

This new tile set should be done without any discretion of what's currently in zone and should just be made so it actually works. Weapons for example are getting a complete overhaul and progress is happening there. The buildings themselves are all crap.

So pretty much this game has been developed into a corner where there are two options 1.kill the game or 2. Continue running at the wall. And we're currently doing the second option sooner or later the game is going to die why let it die so badly let's just salvage the good stuff and move on to the next server. It's the undeniable fact that this game will die one way or another,and the only way to expand and make a amazing game is to kill the current one. So I have an idea to store our players profiles on backups and when a new server comes out we can identify and get our stuff back or some of it because clearly so ideas need to be scrapped.

I mean I agree we should get fancy things that change the server.

But even for me who only plays an hour a day(and I PigParty the game, yea that's right- I just used your name as a verb, and just afk at a random place while I'm doing something else, it would suck for the game to close.

I propose maybe like a closed off server(kind of like the dubbed Facebook iClassic server) that gets worked on while we still play on this one. It can get some beta players to play on it and to give some diverse opinions and once it's "ready" players can be notified of a server swap and to do certain actions(such as delete furniture and stuff for special tokens). Stats of course would be transferred, but things like furniture, weapons, and pets would be kind of be way to hard to just port over, so instead they can be sold on the original server for tokens which will be able to buy equivalent items in a store.

For example rippers would give you like 19 weapon tokens, and certain guns in this new shop would cost like 15.

Again, these would essentially be equivalences and maybe certain things can just be ported over directly(such as pets and some weapons) so they sell for x amount and buy for x amount.

Of course eventually this shop will eventually close/get taken off the map but should still be accessible for older players that didn't transition then via like a button somewhere.

I kind of think of this like when a planet is rip so all the inhabitants go to another but like they bring certain things from said planet to the new one, but due to customs they aren't allowed to use those things but because of generosity the people of the new planet kinda like give them stuff... Understand me? No? Oh poor you. You never watched Power Rangers.

I also think that there could be like a fancy system which gives certain people(maybe like 1000 hours up)certain bonuses for like 2 months to make the transition still feel nice so pros don't just complain. Like a free 1 dmg(not counting classes) to every weapon for two months would be a sick bonus since it would basically deal 2 more(if you're a commando). And with each additional fanciness there could be more benefits.

Or even just like veteran titles for us veterans pre update would be sick. Like I really only still have Modern Combat 5 on my phone because I have the veteran title. (like era did this really well with that first day buying hat. I like wearing that around just being like "oh look at these noobs")
