Revamping the map
 

If you were to choose any place on the map to revamp, whether it be slight changes or extreme changes, which places would you pick? (You can choose multiple areas.)

What would you change about these areas? These changes could be anything, such as adding a new building to an area, changing some of the graphics in an area, or remaking an entire area to look completely different.

Personally, I think Master Li's woods could use a little work. The shops to the north of the forest are somewhat tricky to get to, and I feel like the trees take up a lot of space that could be used for other things, such as a forest village. That's just my opinion though. What do you guys think?

I listed these and ways that they could be revamped, so people around graal city can have more places to go.

Snow town, York town, dead wood. These are all old original cities that just seem outdated in my opinion. Staff are adding cool stuff to new cities like destiny, swamp etc. I just think they can add more cool stuff to the old cities.

Examples:
Make York town more pyrat based, have a pyrat ship? Different pyrat shops.
Also deadwood could have like something cool added to it. The only time I ever go to deadwood is on Halloween for the night club. They should add the next quest some how tied into deadwood IMO.

I think snow & deadwood could have cool things in it, but are really only populated for towering or because 2 NEW HATS WERE ADDED TO THE SHOP! That's it.

Even that I barely come on/play classic I think york town having a more medieval theme(thing going on throughout everything there(shame bwt the openfort being removed)

Also deadwood can be used alot for halloween etc and snowtown is pretty much nothing now without its fort.

I think Destiny should be revamped honestly. It was a huge letdown when it got released imo. Was just another excuse to release more hats, with a boring quest.

I'm all about Master Li's Woods. It was a nice place for me to chill and rage as a noob. I would love it of it was the actual woods.

Deadwood has lots of stuff to cover its crazy small area. Has a tower, a bomb shop, a hat shop and that club cyrpt place. I'd rather see Snowtown renovated maybe bring back its tower because it serves no purpose to even be in Snowtown, Unlike dw!

I would love to see some Halloween graphics more incorporated! Like using npcs with hats from previous years, having some furniture and a few hangout areas. Also, would help to have a minigame like archery or even the crab game, to keep people coming back outside of just towering lol

I voted for York Town, seeing as without it's tower it's purpose is severely deminished. Plus with the lack of horse races hosted these days(I don't blame you, it's not a good event, to be honest). I would like to see the horse racing area replaced by a port, since York town is a coastal city.

I imagine a couple different things this port could contain.
1. NPC's who would come by boat(aka, refreshing occasionally) who would be selling seafood. They could see hats, but then it would just be another bazaar(though you could have them sell furniture).

2. Random NPC's would say to you "Thank you for combating the pyrats!" If the game recognized you had completed your pyrat quest.

I'm sure there are more ideas that you could come up with, but that's what I would like to see given the choice.

Maybe build it around the old convention center? That and the boat dock.

Jokes aside, though - that same old horse track is just taking up space... haven't seen any race events in ages. I think that might partially be due to the repetitive nature of it. Maybe this could be revamped with multiple track layouts, an automated system, daily best times, or something along those lines to bring more life into the area (outside pyrat bay near there)?

To put it simple. deadwood and snow town suck.

the way the map looks now is fine. don't make it worse lol. Noobs barely know where to go the way it is now.

when you look around forums it just becomes obvious we need a quest notebook of some sort to show which quests/dailyjobs we haven't to done.
we need a better events system.
we need a better fort/tower system that doesn't just give hats away to guilds that are TEMPORARILY formed for the sake for 1,000 hours.
The best way to get players in areas like deadwood and snowtown is re-doing them and making things there that guilds and solo pkers/dress up noobs/chatty weirdos/sparrers can do.

Remove lost woods and put in master Li Forest, and have a giant tree with a face.

In light of this, the current map reflects the style (albeit updated) of the map in the same.

Totally agree with this. Would be nice to see muddy lakes, droopy trees, heaps of overgrown vegetation, snail baddies, NPC's camouflaged in leaf outfits, fireflies and old wooden bridges implemented ;o Although, a whole restructure would probably be needed for that.

Because the youngins were hankering for a scrappy old-timey map and I was hinting at the fact that the alttp map was not nearly as well done as the current one in game.... and also the reason the current one looks like it does is due to the 'classic' theme...

I like the idea of taking out the horse track in York and putting in a port. It has plenty of room for buildings and docks. And maybe adding a little bit to Swamp, the whole "Old rickety bridges and camo NPCS and Shrek houses" it would be wonderful.
