Admin

How can you tell whos an admin and who isnt?. Ive seen admins have a * by their names but anyone can put that in their name. So what identifies admins?

Admiral 04-21-2016 05:44 PM

Their very believable statuses

On a serious note, it's nothing for a reason - you need to use the feedback/reporting system for any issues/inquiries rather than PMs

Eugeen 04-21-2016 09:35 PM

Don't expect them to personally help you.

Strum 04-21-2016 11:36 PM

They have a orange indicator, they usually have low stats and they have (admin) after they're nickname.

I didn't ask for any admin to help me. I asked what identifies the difference between admins and players. i asked people ingame and they all said idk so i went here.

You will see them in the guild (Admin). However this isn't a guild you can search.

Asteria 04-22-2016 07:25 PM

If the person is corrupted, he's an admin.

Reemas 04-22-2016 07:35 PM

The players that send messages that queue players for events are admins. Problem solved?

Was that too difficult to figure out? lol

I've seen event messages set to off by default for some reason, and it's likely he's never seen or understood what one is. Not really a stupid question for a new player.

PigParty 04-22-2016 10:09 PM

How to tell if someone's an admin: curse them out in PMs, wait a minute, and see if you get banned. If you don't get banned, they aren't an admin. If you do get banned, they either are an admin, or they reported you. You'll have to repeat this process many times to narrow down the list of potential admins.

Oh, I'm sorry Yog. Did I hurt your feelings? Yet, this player has the knowledge of posting on Graal forums. Hmmm How stupid do YOU think he actually is?

You're the only one calling him stupid.

Forums are a common thing. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to know how to use one.

He may not be online to see every single admin host an event, so making an admin list purely based on this factor won't help him out in identifying who is/isn't one.

Plus, if somebody messages him claiming to be an admin, he can't use this to determine if they are lying or not as an admin won't just host on the spot because a random person asked them to for verification reasons.

So no, his problem isn't solved.

To answer his question, you shouldn't ever need to 'identify' an admin because if they are logged in their admin account they are usually in stealth mode and won't try to message you or brag about being an admin, if you receive messages from someone who tells you they are an admin they are most likely lying.

If you are online and see someone host, then they are for sure an admin but if you ever have any problems you should use the report/feedback system, but you are still free to message them just don't always expect a reply back.

We do have a friends list that shows you who is online. Adding an admin does help in identifying admins. Also, I didnt say that any player should rely soley on that factor. I merely wanted to show them one possible solution. Furthermore, admins dont just message players.

It may not take a rocket scientist to know about Graal forums but it certainly does require a player have spent sometime playing the game to even having knowledge of the forums. Unless, its someone who knows someone that knows another person that plays the game in real. Like, it could be a family member or whoever. What are the chances of that?

Chelterrar 04-23-2016 07:24 AM

Not sure if somebody already answered this.

The star * you see often indicates that the player is logged on via PC. When you have a PC account, you often have a Graal ID. People who subscribed at least once will also have something called a community name. Or if they have an old account, they only have an community name. If the name you set inGame is exactly the same like your community name, it will put a star infront of the name.

For example:
My community name is "Chelterrar"
If I name myself "Chelterrar" ingame, it changes to "*Chelterrar"
but if I change my name to "Chelt" it stay that way without a star.

But it is possible to just include the star when you change you nick. So you can easily fake it.

On Delteria, if you click the profile of a staff, the name is in gold letters not in white once. Not sure how this is on iClassic though. Sorry

Not all admins do events. and im in some guilds where the players are saying so and so became an admin.

Why are you being so rude? Don't bother even posting here if you can't even have courtesy of others.
Remember, No Question is a stupid question...

I never said anything about a question being stupid. Yog is the only one that mentions anything about being stupid.

Btw, instead of finding the fault in what I say, Yog or anyone should have just answered you in the first place.

Also, you can always pm an admin that you know and ask them if the said player is truly an admin

Searching for a guild "(admin)" does not help

Especially, since it's apparently not "searchable"

If you need to contact an Admin, you can send an email to [email protected], send feedback, or report a player.

Hmm? Answer? I dont know. Dont seem like one that would help.

Yea, but he's asking what identifies an admin, not how to contact them.

Well, what if a player does report a player or send feedback, will an admin inform the player that the reported player is or isnt an admin?

That actually does answer the question. Also, that is how you identify someone as an Admin. Since, to identify them, you would need to have their profile already.

Master Shredder 04-23-2016 09:27 PM

An admins not always gonna answer everyones question. The world revolves around the sun, not me. All i wanted to know was what identifies an admin and someone told me so thank you and goodnight

Bryan* 04-23-2016 10:26 PM

They are hard to find since there isn't a list anymore in the info kiosk but usually if they claim to be an admin you can search their name, they will usually have a admin account and a player account. For example, search Fulgore and you will see.

If they host an event, make sure to click icon and add them.

I wish there was a "showonlineadmins" option. But then again, that would cause a lot of spam for them.

It was removed due to the irrelevant spam admins would receive as players would know when they were online. It prevents them from helping players who actually need help.

More like they didn't want to help and was there for staff rewards..the majority of them afk'd/showed off effects and half of them had pms from friends only. It doesn't prevent staff at all in helping, thats why the report and feedback features are there, easy to warp to them/check speed/pm history etc etc
