So ive been playing for a few days now, coming from zone and era, and im liking the game so far, a couple combat issues i have tho, 1: the reload times, why are they so high? Like even for the .45 its a lot higher than i think it should be for a gun of that price, like it already has a low clip and moderate freeze, the reloading on that and plenty of other guns need to be lowered a bit imo. And 2: why isnt there a safety respawn? Its incredibly annoying to lose almost half your health before you can even move and shoot due to some nub spamming the respawn points with a shotgun or melee, even a small 2 second window for this would do. The first issue is up to devate due to im still trying to figure out what exactly the gun dude here was going for, but that second issue needs to be added in for sure for a bit of balance

Ol west's theme for the most part is crappy guns XD and as much as I agree with the spawn killing thing I kinda spawn kill people all the time so i'd be biased

Such inspiring words. I get the idea of slower guns tho since its old, that makes since. But for real, safe respawns are a must

Well playing around some more, these guns could use a lot of work

I wouldn't even bother with the server man, definitely a waste of time.

I don't even get how you can still get started and play nowadays.
Jobs got nerfed, prices of everything increased like 5x
How is that still enjoyable if you know you're being ripped off since the weapons aren't that good anyways

they dont know what was better before so they think its been that way and work towards it not like us oldies that complain about the old west being better.

just like classic older players felt the change and hated it but a new player doesnt know better.

I can understand the best stuff being hard to work for, but not it its not much better than items you can get for nearly half the price, for example, the .45 and the m1859, basically are the same gun with the .45 only a hair better in most ways, both have low clips, moderate rof, moderate freeze, and long reloads, the m1859 offers like 90% of what the .45 does for 35000 less, the dmg is meaningless because 14 and 15 dmg guns take the same amount of bullets to kill someone. If the dmg on the .45 was buffed to 16 the price would make more sense. The weapons really do need a rework, im not saying make them like eras, which im sure that was the focus when balancing, but make them somewhat era-like, to where it can make the guns worth the price and make things a bit more fast paced. And theres also times where it seems like i get hit by a bullet far before it actually touches me

Wouldn't recommend playing this server at all. Used to be good but the job nerfs, and increased weapon prices turned it into trash.

all around the best way to keep the west feel but allow better weapons is just buff the damage of all guns XD

and increase the hp to 250

living in the past. (although atm I kinda preferred melee)

So the melees really do need some better balancing, and some more shop melees that are actually decent. There's a lot of problems with the combat system as a whole....

Im slowly starting to not like this game, there's so many problems that are adding up and happening at the same time its making the game hard to play

It honestly feels like a server not worth anyone time atm Geno. Clearly it's going the Era route regarding gun prices. The combat is a bit slow and the high health makes it a high TTK server(unless you packing some good high dmg guns even tho fire rates are low). Even though I highly despise the community and gun prices, I would rather hop on Era than West.

I'm not too worried about prices as i am the gameplay itself, little things like flawed hit detection and NO FREAKING SAFE RESPAWN are incredibly frustrating to deal with, its really pissing me off to lose health before i can even shoot again cuz some nub is just standing spamming a gun, like who didnt think this all through?

Oh please don't tell me it's like that stacking *** in Era where any stacking gun can still dmg you while your reviving.

Its worse, all weapons will do this

It was bad enough in era with the pbp and minigun, but ol wests guns are just as bad and the melees are even worse regarding this. This needs to be fixed asap

Ugh I'll be the same. Bb find me on there, I'm starting back up on there again. Donate your lousy stuff and I'll give you some clovers on era. I think I still have 20 of those. Swear all us good Zonians just leaving... Triction basically all just left for OW and Ry's crew are getting back up on Era. I might hit up era again but in the last 2 years so little updates have occurred that my player account is still considered pro and I have enough buffer items to get anything I really want still...

Ive been playing zone and era for years now, so i have an idea what would make a good weapon system, and more importantly what doesn't. I just don't like how there's issues like low clip and high reload guns (cookie did this on zone and almost killed it single handedly) because its really hindering when solo pking/basing, and things like no safe respawn annoys me as well. But oh well, i'm done with it for now. Era's actually had a lot of updates, and still does constantly, its been ok for me lately, just solo pking and sparring, but it gets boring sometimes cuz i do everything solo.

Yeah, lets make our own server, itll be the best ever lol
