Gun Balancing Advice? (Cloyd, please read this.)
 

I understand that you are doing what everyone's complaining about. I think it's great. I know there will be tweaks here and there. There are a few things i'm noticing that's going to hurt Graal though.

1.) Err, Just my opinion here, but i was planning on getting a BAR or a Shipka with money i'm getting for my Birthday. Now i'm not so sure. I've seen the freeze effects on them and there's no way i'd buy that. If you're going to make people pay 45$+ for an online gun they should have Quality, regardless of what other people say.
2.) My 45k M4 is now weaker than a 15k M16.
I think their is something wrong with that.
Really wrong.
3.) Tec9 is severely under powered now. I've used it for PK+Spar for a long time now, and it's horrible. I can't win a spar with it to save my life.
4.) AK47 Is now useless, and i know Newer players really looked to that gun before they can get their hands on a better weapon. I think that it should go back to normal, personally, because so many people use it to start, and not being able to kill anyone with it might make them ragequit the game...
5.) Spar isn't even fun now... I can win Tec9 VS Shipka any day. Now the freeze is so high that you can't move fast enough to dodge bullets. back to square one, everything is just way underpowered...
6.) You could win back a lot of players by rolling back old gun stats and taking community advice on what needs to be changed- The fire rate of AK, the clip of shipka, the Fire rate of BAR (Etc...) not just doing what you think what needs to be done... I understand you're being a leader but you're trying to please a crowd of gamers here, and it doesn't seem to be going so well right now. You kind of have to appeal to the community, because without us graal would cease to exist.
There are more than this, but, err, i don't have every gun so i don't know for sure.

Bar is unchanged, same with tec9, m-16 has a faster fire rate, shipka has tiny added freeze ak is slow because its too good for the price and finally i used m4 and i dont really notice any change mabey you just need practice?

Actually he did add freeze to tec-9 but the reason you say nothing is wrong with m4 is because you were offline when it was so bad you couldnt even dodge anymore...well you could but you would have to stick to single shots...and ak may have been too good but noobs already sucked with it at least it gave them a chance to feel like they're good.

The AK was too fast. Now think it's perfect. The first change made it slow, but now its great. The reason that the AK will never be "too good" as a gun is because there is no spread. It's easy to dodge.

Yeah, agreed. Great opinions. I do agree some guns need price/quality balancing. (Ak-47, M16 - Both are too good for the price)

At first he put the M16 extremely fast, Same speed as bar. Now, Cloyd reduced the speed.

Like someone else said, modifications to a weapon after purchase should be refunded.

He made the M16 CRAZY fast, but he made it CRAZY freezy. All its really gold for is spraying in a corner while basing.

Don't forget spraying in a corner during spar.

Well, as Cloyd had stated, this is a work in progress. I'd rather the guns be modified in isolation instead of being instantly changed during regular gameplay. Make a finished product, add it to the guns and post an update. However, we will just have to see how the guns will evolve. For now...

The M4 is perfect. The giant freeze is hood for outmaneuvering people but please dumb down the M16.

Yeah, the Shipka definitely isn't worth the 120000 we all paid for. Now, it's not much better than a Tec9. I just so happened to buy it hours after the update. The patch was in effect, but the description led me to think it was a different gun. Kinda stupid. I really want a refund.

lol i'm happy he changed a bit the AK because it was too good for it price xD noobs were just spraying in spar and sometimes make you loose >.> lol

Everyone grew dependent on guns that had no freeze which is why they all are complaining. Either get use to the correct balanced version or play another game.

Yea guys, just work out a new technique to shoot and stuff then youll get used to it.

No disrespect here, but I don't think weakening a 120000 gun to make it just a little better than a 40000 gun isn't "balanced" - the idea of balancing isn't tp equalize all of the guns. It's to give the gun the appropriate quality for the price paid. If you want all the guns to be equal, make them all priced the same, just balance out the disadvantages and advantages of each gun.

If that were true everyone would be using Starter guns, because they have no freeze.

The M16 is not THAT good. It has a HUGE amount of freeze. You can't even walk at all while shooting. The M4 you can. The M16 shoots fast, but if your good, you can use it's freeze to take it down EASLILY.

Yes, 80000 Gralats isn't a justified increase from the 40k Tec9 for one added damage + one extra bullet. :\

I'd be fine with the gun balancing if the prices were balanced respectively.

First off... Why would you ever spend 45$ on a virtual gun when you can get a quality real life airsoft gun with that money!

You can't get a quality airsoft gun with $120 by my standards. I airsoft. Some person I played against owned a $1200 CheyTac M200 and called it "mediocre at best" lol. I do have an Avenger XR2 custom that's pretty nice for $300

Correct I just go all spar techinique on this guy and he's dead by a few seconds. 1 out of ten times though another guy flanks from behind and... Yeah...

Since the M16 sucks for spar now, imma use the big water gun.

Actually I pwn shipkas with tec because it's based on my skill,the shipka is way better than tec it's just the person wielding it.I personally like tec better because I'm used to the speed now and I learned how to easily take out shipkas,other than that...Ya I agree.

Okay, I keep reading all the moaning and bitching, but you guys failed to even pay attention when I said "I'm not finished yet." A lot of guns just got less freeze on them, like the Shipka and Tec9 for example. First it was "The Tec9 is to slow." now people are pming me "The Tec9 is to fast!" C'mon, seriously? I know I can't satisfy everyone, but this is ridiculous. I decreased the freeze on the Shipka a little bit though. Now, if I take anymore off on the Shipka, then it will be exactly what it was before. And if you think the Shipka shoots slow.. you're ****ing blind.

Yea guys you may have to deal with it, its hard enough for cloyd to please 1000 players who all want different things, cut him some slack hes doing the best anyone could possibly do, so just stop complaining about it find a new tactic of using your weapon ;) this game wouldnt be fun without a challenge, rather than it being the same, shipka and bar users getting the streaks, your just mad because players arnt presenting themselves on a golden plate for you to easily kill.

At first i didn't like the changed of the guns. But now i think it is a good thing and i'm happy. I think it is more fair and that now people who aren't so good have a chance to compete with good sparrers. Now it will depend less on guns but more on skills. And that is the main point/caracteristic of spar and pk (my thought). Morever people shouldn't complain about tec9 because Cloyd made more freeze but made it faster so it is as if he didnt do anything (i think it is a tood upload).

and to some points i agree and to others i disagree. as Kane said, people grew dependent on spray (myself too kinda), but this is an opportunity to gain some skill with other guns and experiment. I was always better with my AUG than my shipka for the reason that i cant spray it and it makes me have to dodge.

But the prices that people have to pay for a gun should also revolve around its quality.

but I'll let you do your thing, and see where this all ends up. I'm guessing you're modifying to prepare for some new guns, as was done in that past. So just hang in there guys :)

Not everyone is old enough to shoot a real life airsoft gun so using 45$ dollars in a game is the best way to have fun. But too some kids 45$ is alot of money so thats why they complain about the shipka becoming balanced.

Cloyd left his guns admins rank and now we still have guns that "in progress of balancing"?
