Monthly boat race around VIP island
 

It would get some traffic to oasis island and people would be more willing to buy VIP

It's a crazy idea but I wanted to say it anyway

Bring on the flames

Heck torch the whole island and put something worth while there.

My ideas of vip benefits are discounts on select items, and extra emotes.

As for oasis, the following could be added:

Beach Volleyball
Frisbee Throw
Lifesavers (Can be used in the water...)/the big pool floats you see at water parks
Boats in general would be nice.

If they could remove the rocks and make the water clearer, then people would go there to loot.

The gfx needs to be changed pronto.

Could use some of the new pool marker items from Nexus to kinda lay out a track and maybe make jelly fish randomly walk around on the track. All you gotta do is sail around the island fastest without hitting the jellies?

Maybe just a seasonal race with different obstacles for each season :)

Could steal from the horse race event mostly for all the time keeping mechanics?

It's the boats.... Maybe make them a mount type item? I feel like it might be a pain in the butt to make them.

Believe it or not, I still have my free VIP voucher from last year. Been seeing lots of garbage from VIP lately.

I got a canadian beaver with a mountie outfit with mine. I occasionally put it on and give out random useless beaver-related facts in an authoritative manner.

Boats have been done so many times in the past on playerworlds by player-developers. i doubt it would really be an issue.

He probably quit. Just like the person with unique random dinosaur swag from the draw at dinosaur nexus... that's the problem with random draws - the new players who leave after a month or so vastly outnumber the experienced players who have been around for years.

I was more thinking it wouldn't be a whole new mount for usage but only for that specific event. I just think it would be fun to race our bathtubs around VIP island like the horse race in Yorktown kinda

Boats are sorta counter productive I suppose.... It screws up the whole mount system. I didn't really think about that

Modify the rail sailer into a mount for racing around the island?

i never understood racing bc all mounts have the same cap speed, and if youre using the rail system youre basically just watching your character "race" without doing anything

Oh! Earlier in the thread I was talking about using baddies on a race track to effect the player racing

Just basically a dodging/race concept
