I agree. DW is pretty small, I think it needs to have some new places or some extra land,and rail roads as well.

that was the worst Halloween event to date, mindless and boring

Even though I won 4th for that event (got trophy to prove it), it's extremely boring and easy. The ghosts were a bit challenging but they lag like **** so made it impossible.

I thought the prizes were better that year. You got to trade in candy for exactly the type of prize you wanted. You like furniture? Get the furniture grab bag. Prefer hats? Get that grab bag.

Last year's prize distribution was terrible in my opinion. Give some punk npc kid 10 candy and you get tricked. Great, an hour of my time wasted

Lets talk about labor day 2017 for a bit because this year was a huge letdown. Really dissapointed in xor and stefan for not adding any content.

I honestly hadn't put much thought into Graaloween, but now that you mention it I had some ideas:

• Trick or Treaters no longer take your candy, but can either give you a trick or a treat(random amount of candy). Logically this makes no sense, but fun is fun.
• Bring back the witch hut and let you exchange candy for prizes. The cheaper variety of prizes would basically be grab bags with random rewards. Something that can be bought over and over for those with excess candy.
• Maybe bring back the witch that flies around the overworld, but I'm not sure if the broom is the best reward for that.
• Maybe some sort of minor zombie event. Zombies appear, players kill by zombies turn into zombies until they die again. Zombies scare away Trick-or-Treaters and players have to protect them? I dunno, of all the ideas this seems the least likely to be implemented.

The idea is not to rework Halloween, but to slowly improve on it each year until it turns into something that no longer needs to be worked on. So ideas are welcome.

I think candy should be an easy thing to get. Maybe everybody starts with 20 candy that they can't use but they give out to their friends. and some buildings on the map should have NPC's that give you a few candy. But I think the more rare items should be given out through a few different halloween quests.

side note: why doesn't classic give you a list of quests that you can do? like in the menu. including the daily ones that say whether or not you've done it yet today?

To be honest, I love the idea of an event that requires you to BK, or kill NPCs. What I think would be cool, is if you had to kill a certain NPCs that spawned (Zombies, spiders, goblins, skeletons, etc.) and each NPC gives a certain item drop. These item drops (zombie brain, spider leg, goblin tooth, skeleton skull, etc.), could be exchanged for "X" amount of candies from the witch determined by the items rarity. These candies could then be given to trick or treaters in exchange for certain items.

or.... not that

Dude please bring this event back, cuz I always want that broom mount so idc if you guys will re skin the mount xD (I joined the game early 2013 so yeah I missed the 2012 graal event)

Honestly the problem is many have admitted once they get a water-walking mount they no longer want any other mounts. To hand them out freely would be pretty bad for business. I'm not one to worry much about profits, but that one is a little worrisome.

An "infected" game mode idea sounds awesome!! Like CoD has, but with zombies!

I don't mind what the event is as long as it's made competitive to reward the players who do it best, there are so few tournaments and other not-casual things on iClassic that I find the holiday events to really be the best things to do on the server in terms of actual gameplay

It would never be anything like that. If zombies were to make an introduction it would be a minor thing. You'd be a zombie until you die, then you go back to normal. An infection sort of thing wouldn't really work well over the course of a week, nor with the playerbase and structure the server has.

Well, time to break out the lava tiles where flying mounts are not able to cross.

Okay, but if they bring the broom event back, please make sure that when you're in the middle of trivia that a player can't kill you. :rolleyes:

my point was more so that if you're creative enough, nothing poses an impassable obstacle when it comes to development. Introduce areas where mounts are ineffective, or limit the capacity of flying mounts in their effectiveness. How about foggy areas that they can't navigate? Areas of rocky terrain that they cannot pass over, or even just revoke some of their effectiveness, possibly enabling flight over water but at reduced speed?

I could go on with ways to limit the ability of the flying mounts in particular, but it remains that this is simply a bottleneck with which to encourage community members to cough up a few bucks to get a (previously prestigious) ability which has outlived its novelty due to it being given out at cost. It may be simplest to introduce something different and leave the mounts as they are... the options are limited only by imagination.

there's actually only 7 countries on earth so who is the idiot now? u wont be getting many presents this upcoming 4th of july (the most popular holiday in the earth)

There may be limitless ideas, but there are not limitless places to implement them. It doesn't matter if there are areas that you can't use a flying mount in if 90% of the time you're using them on the overworld anyways.
