Alternative weapon skins
 

Recently got bored and I can no longer offer my service to Zone as a GA thought I try put some of my gfx skill to use. I created some alternative weapon skins for players to choose from. Just recently worked on red, green and yellow rifle as a starter. Going to be working on other guns as well when I have free time. I'll keep this thread updated. Let me know what you think. Feedback and ciriticism are welcome.

wasn't weapon skin a squad prize or it got changed? They look alright maybe for a event of 3teams doing something idk?

5k reward is a gunskin i belive.

Squad hideout is or was 5k and gun skin is at 10k. But these skins are just alternatives cosmetic for players to choose from.

Bro. Those look copy and pasted. And I rly don't want any more of these ratchet looking gfx added to zone. I'm sorry man but gun skins add no purpose and in the end we'll all realize how true that is?

They're edits of the original. I added things to it, don't get how it's "copy paste" lol. Skins aren't suppose to serve a purpose lol. They're cosmetic items. So if things don't serve a purpose they shouldn't be added? Everybody should just be wearing the same outfit with the same hats right?

They look decent enough,better than I could ever do but not the best somone could do

I feel like something such as weapon skins, could really work with zone if the ideas were listened to. It could be seen as modifiers in a way. A certain skin can give a boost in one of the gun's fields. Reload speed increase, fire rate, etc. Maybe even a slow or burn effect.

Skins are meant to be for novelty uses.

The last thing Zone needs is more complications to weapon stats.

True, I guess I was thinking more of modifications. Either way, neither of these are things that will be plausible right now. Considering weapon changes are finally going underway after months.

(Don't yell at me if this is a thing but) Why don't they make gun skins with different attachments, like lazer sights and holographic scopes. You buy the stock gun, then add the things you think make it look niiiccce. Purely cosmetic tho.

Yeah that is sorta what I was talking about. Except I wanted some cosmetic and then some modifiers. Now if its just too much work to tamper around with then forget worrying about it, odds are its not worth all the effort.

I want Zone to gear itself toward more cosmetic items like Classic has. Especially when Zone is dealing with all kinds of stats to affect gameplay, while classic has .5 damage for every sword and then 2 different types of horses with different speeds. I like having new items and I usually hate skins, but the new items would need to have the same stats as previous weapons (especially for holidays). That obviously won't happen, so maybe holiday reskins each year is the next best option. Attachments like a laser sight would be cool but we shoot 360° so I don't know how well that would work, and attachments that change a gun's stats would only make PK & spar more unbalanced.

I think the simplicity of Classic has it's perks, but I do want Zone to stay away from that too actually. I think that if we were to steal aspects of a server's weapon system, it should be Zones. Like actual Zones. It wasn't perfect but it was balanced more to the point where there weren't like a 40 dmg difference between two similar items(exaggeration but you get the point) ALSO, WHERE THE HELL IS MY CHAINSAW? @TASHKIN SO MANY PROMISES. SO MANY LIES :(

They look really nice, but I think they should have a glow animation :)

gun skins would match normal gun stats, er beamer skin would be 5 dmg as well.
