Ol' West - the first GST is approaching...
 

It’s here... Ol’ West’s first GST, short for Gang Spar Tournament.

First and foremost, I’d like to introduce myself. My name is Anero and I’m a Player Relations Admin on Era iPhone. I’ve hosted the past two GST’s on iEra and I was now invited to host OW’s first one as well.

What’s a GST?
The GST is one of, if not the most hyped event on the iServers. It’s been designed to discover the best gang – the gang that combines teamwork with individual skill. Every participating gang has 12 members on their team and will go head-to-head in an arena until one team is left standing... the GST Champions.

How do I get into GST?
Eight gangs have been picked through special stipulations designed by logging – the qualifications were held this past week.

So by now... you probably want to know: who has made it through?

Knife Party (now participating as „Fire Nation“) – 8820 Score
Hollow (now participating as „TB“) – 6840 Score
Unloved – 6159 Score

[Gang Spar]
Enjoi – 320 Score
Eskilo – 231 Score

[Battle Arena]
Chosen Ones – 22 Score
Manifest – 20 Score

What are the rules this year?
Every team gets 12 members from their gang’s line-up and it is against the rules to switch your line-up during GST. Moreover, going over a lag limit we’ve designed will result in an instant kick due tot he nature of which lagging’s advantages propose. Using VPN during matches is also not permitted. Abuse of any bugs and glitches can and will disqualify your entire gang due to blatant disregard of rules. Dressing as the same person and using the same nick in one team is now also not allowed. These rules are subject to change at any moment but should be recognized as permanent.

Which items can I use?
The only items you can use in the GST are regular guns. No HS items, no GP items, no Spar/PK reward items. Melees are not required or needed either – lagging players will be kicked anyway. All shots count!

How can I spectate/watch the GST?
We’ve planned to live-stream the event on twitch.tv/EraGST. In case that doesn’t work out, we’ll have an in-game stream. Either way – be sure to follow our Twitch channel.

Hows the gst going to work for basing gangs.... if this is going to be a Gang "Spar" Tournament i dont understand why basing gangs are even included basing and spar are 2 different things.

The best sparrers usually make the best basers.

Anyone with a good amount of kills and plays Ol' West to base knows that bullet spam isn't necessary.

You get alot more kills when you don't spam and try aiming a shot first

It's era with slower fire rates :P

It's interesting for me since the community is small enough where all the competitive players know each other + their strengths and weaknesses. Though this is bad in a case where simply the best Gang sparrers all join the same team and there is no diversity between all Gangs
