2016 Graaloween Candy Guide
 

So, the Graaloween update is here, and I've seen lots of people asking how to get candy. Most likely, this will be useless, because I trust that the forums already know how, but anyways here we go.


If you already read the news, you know you need to get the bucket for candy. Then you're set! There are multiple ways to get candy. First off, the Pumpkin Blob(I'll refer to it as Jim)

1. Jim (Pumpkin Blob)

Jim spawns in random places quite frequently. When killed he drops lots of candy, but most likely in that cluster**** of people, you wont get anything. I recommend you stay on the outside of the crowd/outlines, that way when Jim dies, your the first to get candy. Places I've seen him are on Delta, and in the Forest headed to York.

2. Zombies and Ghosts.

Ghost spawn with candy inside and can be grabbed with a net. This has been used for a few Graaloweens. Zombies, however are knew this year. All you have to do is kill them and it drops a piece of candy. I also heard something about clowns, which I havent seen so Im unsure on it.


3. NPCs

NPCs come outside of a random building with candy buckets. If im correct, you have to go up to them and press the candy basket hotkey or button. Im not 100% sure on this, since when I tried to do it, the dude was out of candy.

Most efficient seems to be going around and only doing NPC's, giant zombies and the pumpkin boss.

Trick or treaters are also In front of TR. in front of the bomb shop in destiny as well

They're also in front of the church in destiny (I think it's a church?)

I think this is the goblin he's talking about. I'm pretty sure it actually spawns from bushes/grass

There's a giant zombie as well. those goblins are few and far between this year though :3
Also there's no indicating ripples right before they show up.

Pumpkin spawns in deadwood where crypt was.

I just wish it was easier to get candy to be honest, probably play more tomorrow if i get time.

Try to use guilds that share locations with eachother, helps a lot

I feel like the small zombie not 'always' giving a candy out is kind of the part that makes it too tough. If these guys gave one out, regardless of who got it, every time they were killed it would feel fair all across the board to me. Overall the event feels really well thought out so far. I'm wondering what we're going to spend all this candy on..!

I hope that whatever trade-in options we have, they are available for a few days so that people don't "miss out" just because they don't get a chance to log in on the 31st specifically :)

Goblins could use a boost too. They don't spawn nearly as often as last year, I spent 2 hours at the Dojo and only spawned one. Aside from that though, props to the classic staff for making an event that has been uneffected(or minimally) by the lag.

Try going from mod to swamp for 10-20 minutes and you should get about 10 by then. It's what many people have been doing.

I go in a loop through the places where the candy npcs and pumpkin blob spawns (I stay in swamp a little longer though)

Will this candy hunt end the 31st or a week after?

A witch also spawns on her broom but i don't think you can kill her.

I think thats for when the blob spawns, or other enemies do.

For me, sometimes the ghosts candy disappears when it hasn't been taken yet. This seems to only be for me because people still huddle around it to get the candy and eventually someone does.

I think that happens to everyone, cause it does for me as well. It obviously has to do with the lag, and the one way I've figured out how to avoid it is to catch the candy as SOON as you see the ghost on your screen. The longer it floats around, the less accurate its position is. You could also wait til it fades and returns, because that resets it to its true position, if that makes sense.

In other words, I think the ghosts are moving faster on your screen (clientside) than it is on the server, so although it looks like you caught the candy on your screen, it actually still has it. Just my guess though

I get what you're saying.. I will try that. The thing is that the candy only disappears when I try to catch it, and it seems to be an accurate hit because it freezes me as if I caught it, except it didn't add it to my total, or anything that would consist of me catching it. Not sure.
