Is there a way to (get/earn) a personal hat on Classic?
 

Hello,

My name is RobG. I am a Graphic Artist in real life. I do this for my real life job. I was wondering is it possible to get your own personal hat on Classic if I contribute in some way to earn it? I was hoping that maybe I could make some graphics for the game in trade to get a personal hat? I don't really want to apply for an admin graphics position because I can't make any long-term commitment.

Can any staff member answer this for me?

Christmas is coming up and player submissions will be open for gifts, including hats.

If you make a hat and it is picked you will get it but so will other players if they manage to get it from a gift.

That's as close as you'll get to a personal hat

Like Collin said, the only way to get your own hat is by submitting it into a contest or winning any special events (staffs make the hats, however, and it's mainly a gang-event). Other than that, I don't really think you can get a personal hat.

graal is a contribution game, if its nice enough, im sure it will get accepted and sold somewhere to the public regardless of season

I'd love to know numbers on the distribution of items made by players... I have seen tons of the hat I submitted.. but never anyone with the juggle.

up until some months ago, you could tower in a tower guild for a chance at earning 1 of 25 available hat spots once the guild reaches 1000 hours
however, 99% of tower guilds would give a free hat spot to anyone willing to make the hat for them - that ended though

when guilds get reworked, I'm sure hats will still be a reward so at that time you could probably get a hat through that method

like everyone has said, christmas submissions are the closest thing you'll get

not sure if staff even get personal hats anymore

2. Get 5k hours on your own guild (10k for a custom mount),
They removed 1k... RIP

Those are the only ways that I'm aware of...

1) Become staff > transfer hat to account > retire(hope they let you off if caught lmao)

2) go onto zone > let them do contest for personal hat> win

3) Suck off the main staff > loseyourdignity

4) change hat you have in ifiles to your hat > looks like you have hat

5) enter hat for contest >hope you get-but others will aswell so not really personal

6) get staff member to do a hide and seek for your hat -corrupt the system >found! > win *Ends event*

But really NO you shouldn't get 'personal hat' that's only for you unless they allowed others to aswell - that I doubt

I'm pretty sure any guild who got 1k, 5k, or 10k before the end of the guild rewards can still cash that in if they hadn't done so yet, so there's that.

@Rekkles and anyone else who's wondering,

Guild rewards will be back eventually, just probably won't be based on tower hours or linked solely to towering.

Oh damn they removed 1k and now it's 5k? Jesus that's lot of time.

They are completely reworking the guild system and rewards system

An old legend says you will be granted your own hat if you suck up enough and work hard on graal in the graphics department.
Nobody knows wether this legend is true or not except for the head administrators.
