Just wanted to check in and see how things are going with Zone? :)

Is Zone focused on combat and PvX yet? That was the best place for it to go and I thought that would be where it's headed after people who wanted a space age social club moved on.

Why?

Ya graal zone has been totally ruined, I used to play back on 2013. Now its dying more and more by the month. Like what is there to do on there, they remove basically all the bases.

That's a huge shame. I remember playing it and thinking there's HUGE potential for combat and wanted it to go that route. I got a few concessions like showdown but gave up when Stefan wanted to reboot as a post Zombie apocalypse Era.

they removed most planet bases like choros/ircia for era-like bases that are enclosed in small rooms. Combat is dead. Basing is just 1k guild hopping - even worse than classic was. The only activity in Zone besides basing is trading.

It's pretty sad. Especially since everyone's waiting on the new tileset and all that to "fix" the server even though so much could be improved if things as simple as basing were addressed. It would require no dev work to remove the current bases and add back the planet bases.

Just sad that the puppetmasters in Zone don't actually know what the problems are.

Don't think it's possible for a tileset to fundamentally fix gameplay problems. In fact, it sounds like a lack of priority if it's no fun to begin with.

Really the only fun in zone anymore is the events, like I used to love the events in zone. If they even do that anymore lol

No events? I'd expect that in place of real, fun gameplay. Sounds like things are really bad :(

Lots of races (because they don't require a lot of scripting)

"Cat and mouse" events: GraalMan, Frenzy, British Bulldog -- avoid being unstuck by the staff member(s)

One team spar event, Spar DM

The classics, trivia and hide-and-seek

Those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head

What about CTF, Demolition/Assault and LMS?

CTF was made into a base (and closed), LMS is a thing but I'm not sure if it's hosted as an event anymore (it was hosted as a largescale event last Christmas), and I don't know what that other one is.

iZone is pretty much a waiting room for the new tileset, otherwise basically nothing to do. Sparring is dead, Events are dead, Basing is cancer because it's not unique anymore.
