Lottery House in Ol' West
 

I saw there adding a lottery house, where plex house used to be. I have the screenshot.

But my question is how is this lottery gonna work? Is it going to be like era, pretty much useless, drawings every hour or something like that with 3 winners and small pot, or are we gonna make it more like zone (which I prefer) where it's one drawing everyday and one winner but everyone buys tickets so it's a big pot. Or maybe every 12 hours? I'm not sure but please don't make it like the era lottery.

They may make it like Era/Zone lottery. But I think that it would be much better to make a unique system, different from those two servers, for our awesome unique server.

It hasnt been removed, it was moved to Mirefield (cant spell that)

Zone's original lottery was too good players got like 100k etc from it aha I think maybe a cap on it where it's like zone's but the cap kicks in (i.e -gets to 70k noone can buy after that) 1)gets 45k 2) 15k 3) 10k then timer till next round so they don't win an extreme amount each day

Yeah but that's what made it so good, lots of people enter it but only one winner, but if only one person wins they deserve a big pot. That's what the lottery is all about.

The prizes does not involve players winning money.

Then there goes the meaning of lottery, and there goes my hopes rip.

Depends on what this non-money prize is XD.

Items then? If so dont make it ptw, just make it purely luck based.

I'd assume you'll win a currency that's solely used to unlock untradeable items from a lottery shop

Just my thoughts since that's how other things like HS and GP have been implemented aswell

Yeah if items I hope it's bunch of stuff from toys/melee(with unique gani?)/maybe gun?But also hope they make untradeable, then more would want to join in...


Just saying that maybe it's lottery where you already would know the item(not random) i.e pic of a cool melee and tickets to try win that set item. Then could be multiple lotteries at same time for different items. kinda like auction but randomly picks

I like the idea of putting the item up to show people what the item is but having multiple items at once, not a good idea in my opinion especially considering our player count, some items would just be highly favored over others.

okay so,
it is a lottery where you have a chance to win exclusive items or items that is already in game. The items won't be trade able since i hate when players run and say 500k only one in game lmao. It will be hosted quite frequently aswell. First item is super cool.

Because I did see they finished the first floor (or you finished it because the tile set looks like your style).

Will most likely depend on the item!

We also have an awesome auction system made by alpho, need some fixes though.

Ah we all know Alpho's work is something to admire, I just personally don't like the idea of auctions in Ol'West :( this lottery system sounds like a great replacement for that, however.

And also, can you buy multiple tickets? I think it would be better if it was 1 each per person

Additionally, I think if this will be the case it would be wise to ensure there are measures to prevent alternate accounts from transferring the lottery items as this would be a way to gain a higher advantage in the draw.

Nope so if they win with an alternate account, then good for them if they want to keep the item on that account and use it on that account.

Yeah the time was what I was trying to figure out I'm not sure it's every Wednesday though, last one started on Friday and ended on Wednesday this one is starting on Sunday. Anyway the winners were posted already.

I think that many winners is perfectly fine.

There will be opportunities at later dates to join the lottery again for the same items.

And spend more money for something again and I only have a chance of receiving? At least make it like the chili katana event thing. I think around $500 each and 25 Winners

The chances of a person winning the purple gun with 5 tickets was around 0.8%

I know there's gonna be the arguement that "hey it's a lottery so it has to be rare" but this basically means we have to spend 75000 gralats per year to get the gun we want and spend around 390000 gralats per year if we want to participate in every lottery that gets hosted.
*That is if there is a new lottery every week ofcourse, otherwise it'd be around 195000 gralats per year if it's every 2 weeks.


So yeah, that's a lot of gralats wasted for barely getting a chance of winning anything so I can agree with there being more winners or lower ticket prices.
