Abuse of power by GP?
 

For no reason whatsoever either Za Ichi or iHercules (I suspect the latter because his GP account was logged in at that moment) wiped my status and gave me a warning.

Is this abuse of power? And if so, shouldn't this have consequences?

I can't imagine someone doing this for fun just because they're admins.

I come back after almost 2 years and get hit with a warning on the second day, for no good reason. Bit harsh don't you think?

What did your status specifically say for it to be wiped? You're leaving that information out.

If your status has been reset by an admin then it probably contained some sort of inappropriate content or advertisement.

There is so no such a thing as "GP's are abusing powers"
I believe that Your status will only be resetted if it contained: any type of insults, advertising, racist/sexist lines and/or mentioning a player's name in the purpose of offending him/her.
NOTE: in most cases, I think statuses get viewed by admins if the owner of the status was reported. Which suggest, your status was inappropriate.

Atleast include what you put in your status. I'm sure GP's don't benefit from randomly going around clearing everyone's status. This makes me suspect that you were on the wrong side here

I feel you. I quoted Benjamin Franklin, the whole "We surely must hang together or we will hang separately (paraphrased)," and had my status reset a while back. Pretty ridiculous but unjust bans and status resets are commonplace now. The PC police are on the loose.

I got a reply 2 months after I was unbanned, gg.

I sent 6 tickets in a span of 2 weeks i haven't gotten a straight forward detailed explanation as to why im banned. Its alright tho, just gotta hope i dont miss the egg hunt. 7 days to go 🙏

Insults shouldn't be wiped. Noone forced them to click on the status, and nobody chooses whether someone decides to be offended or not. You don't ban/warn people for saying "you suck" when you get that report, so the same thing, to an even greater extent I'd argue, is true for a status. Not that 95% of them know/care about the rules but figured I'd put this here.

I'm willing to bet money his initial status wasn't offensive. I gave an example in this forum thread as well. There are certain admins that enjoy their stature too much and should be removed from the group. The problem is making that happen is near impossible.

The reason why statuses are taken more serious because, if you get pm'ed by a player saying "you're so bad!!" You can easily block them/put your pm's from friends only. If someone for some reason made you feel uncomfortable in public chat, you can easily block them/put your public chat: friends only or...
But, when you say something in your status, everyone is capable of reading what you said. I alread said in my lost post why would people's statuses get resetted (in my opinion) but, if you really think your status had nothing wrong with it, then why don't you pm any admin asking him/her the reason why your status was resetted? Make sure you mention your status in pm. If you know it was un appropriate, then there is no point complaining about gp's resetting your status because, nothing will be changed.

98% of the time they won't tell you why if you pm them, you just get told to go to toonslab. That's not even with the factor that they don't know the rules half the time and just decide to do things based on their perception of morality.

If your status wasn't "inappropriate" in an obvious way, and you pm'ed any admin mentioning your old status with quotation marks plus asking them nicely how did your status broke the iClassic rules. I guarantee that you will get a reply from the admin, explaining why your status was rested.

Sounds an awful lot like power abuse to me. I know it's minor but I don't want some triggerhappy clown wielding a ban hammer.

there are tons of reasons why inappropriate statuses should get resetted.
Apart from what I already listed in my previous post, I willi list some here.

If someone had a status in the purpose of exposing/offending/insulting another person, then this status will most likely get reseted by an admin. Because, the audience of this status might make bad comments on it in public chat.Or, they might pm this person in the purpose of putting him down. Yes, no one forced this player to open that status but, it doesn't stop other curious players from opening this status either. This could lead them to harras that person even more!
In addition, if the status wasn't offending a specific person but, it contained racism, insults or anything else inappropriate then it should still get resetted. Because, opening an inappropriate status might make people feel uncomfortable or even personally offended! You can't say no one forced them to open the status otherwise, people will be worried when opening a player's profile. They will be worried if this player's status is going be inappropriate or not. But, rather than having all those worries, admins will just simply reset an inappropriate status.
Finally, imagine someone just joined this game. They opened someone's profile and saw this inappropriate status. Won't you agree that it will give him/her a bad image of the game? This might lead them to close the game and never open it again. You can't say no one forced them to open that status because, they probably wasn't expecting to see thus. Also, the company is trying to increase graal's popularity not the opposite.

I don't understand you. As I mentioned before, if you really think your status was inappropriate then pm an admin asking him for an explanation! Make sure you mention fully what you said on that status. Otherwise, you cannot say GP's are abusing their power. In my opinion, this is a silly assumption.

I would also like to point out that Thallen got banned for helping out people when aTor made (feedback) and recruited people who do the same thing. (+Broken English speakers)

Let me make a point. I did not apply to be a gp! You want to believe it? You don't want to believe it? It's my last interest to know.
Feedback members are not "semi admins" they are just mature graal players.

You literally only needed to write a few sentences to explain to him what you've just said. If you read the posts, he actually said what he put in his status. 'Sting like a butterfly' blah blah. He made this thread because he wanted to know why it was reset. He didn't ask for an essay on inappropriate status; he's looking for a specific reason.

The problem with going on the forums about these kind of stuff is that there's no proof that you're going to tell the truth about what happened, and these kind of posts are usually only based on speculations.
