Greetings.

As you may know, Colin will be resigning sometime in late July due to changes in our forums. Whatever's going to happen to our fan forum, we do not know. But one thing's for certain; Graalians.com is going to be ****ed. Like, really badly. There is a solution to this problem, however, but it might not be easy for some of us. Since these forums are going to end up like OGCC, we might as well do this:

Leave. Abandon these forums.

If a simple bread hoarder is going to make this a cutesy, family friendly environment, then we all might as well just pack our bags and let most of this new community eat at each other like the ignorant SJWs they are. I'll be taking part of this leave, around the same date Colin is leaving.
Now, I understand that some of you want to make sure nothing happens to these fan forums, and as such I respect your decision to do so; and I wish best of luck to you.

I mean yeah we've heard the rumours etc but there really is no point jumping ship right now, i'll go out on a limb and say it can't be that bad

not only that, but hysteria this early is going to encourage people to jump to the very first graalians clone that pops up, and who's to say if it's being run by people with integrity

I highly doubt you know actually know what is going to happen so I'm just going to stick it out until the bitter end.

Yes I'll be leaving shortly, but whatever this date is you guys have for it and the date Darlene will be moderator is completely false and someone was just joking around.

Darlene joined to message me about something that had already been worked out by the time she got in contact with me, there is nothing so far that indicates she is going to be a moderator.

Will she at some point? Maybe, but right now she has done nothing but just register and browse the forums which everyone has the right to do. It's extremely disappointing to see you guys talk about how great Graalians is but then harass Darlene every chance possible just for being here, especially when the majority of you are doing it as it's the "cool" thing to do.

While, yes, it's within the realm of possibilities that everything goes south and Graalians won't be the same, it's also possible that things for the most part will remain relatively normal and Graalians won't be as bad as you guys are thinking it will be.

Me leaving is in no way 'jumping ship' because I'm expecting Graalians to be ruined, I've just had some personal disagreements with certain parties and my time to move on was already approaching due to real life responsibilities.

A forum is only as good as its users are so I suggest you guys actually wait for a valid reason before hitting the panic button.

Was it your call to accept payments on behalf of Graalians, or was that out of your hands? I don't know Graalians' circumstances, but to head an independent fan-community and accept money from that kind of source takes a substantial lack of integrity. I can't fault Cyberjoueurs or whatever the company is now for approaching a with the intention of a buyout, that's just common sense for a business to want to control every popular platform of their product. But jesus, man.

I don't know most of the people that frequent this place, but I know without a doubt in my mind that a not insignificant number older Graal players would've been willing to donate to keep this place independent. Was such a drive ever brought up, or did you go straight to selling your soul? Hell, if someone mentioned that to me two years ago out of the blue when Graal was the last thing on my mind I'd have thrown money at it out of petty spite, and I know I'm not alone.

Yeah, nah, that just really makes it look like you don't know what sort of can of worms this is.

Colin doesn't own graalians, hape does now apparently well supposively has paid for it for a few years now(probs a year) So he ain't been paid I doubt.. If anything they'd have paid him for his censorship lmao :giggle:

The point is that under no circumstances should have Graalians (or any independent site) accepted money from Unix (or any outside power like that). That's stupid as ****. Anyone who would be cool with that without having pursued other options is just asking to burn the place down.

The people that have owned it barely ever come on or quit completely so I don't think they generally care, money talks in business... That being said money/greed also can destroy businesses.

Bets on this forum to be updated for playerworlds and graal3D.

I believe yourself missing a few key points.

- Toonslab has officially owned Graalians for a while now, therefore not making it independent.

- Colin didn't seek out payment, and declined it when he was offered. That's hardly "selling your soul".

- It wasn't Colin's decision to give Graalians to Toonslab.

So does that mean you do take payments?

Are you being serious right now? A donation drive? Imagine it from unixmad's perspective: a Graal forum with people throwing money at the owners. We already know how that would end and it would look worse for all parties involved. Last I checked you get banned for getting money in exchange for development on Graal, get real man.

I don't know what makes any of you think unixmad or anyone else isn't entitled to "censor" the free advertisement of another game on their forums? No diferent than a Twitch streamer banning discussions of other streamers in their chat, go set up a lemonade stand outside of Starbucks and see how you get treated, etc.

Donation drive would have never worked. It may have worked for a few months than interest would die down, leaving them to scramble trying to find a way to keep the site open, or pestering members constantly for donations.
