Problem: Number of competitive device players is steadily decreasing in arena. Due to lack of equality with player controls, namely, 'strafe'. To define, device can go ^,>,V,< and 4 directions diagonal. Pc can go those directions plus <^>, <v>, v>^, v<^ these 4.

Intermediate Solution: Have a room, building or area where device sparrers and pc sparrers can spar solely their own kind (pc or device). This once existed and.. Should still.

I used to spar on iOS before sparring on PC and I loved sparring PC players with my iPod - I would still do it if I wouldn't prefer Android.

I play on tablet and iPhone XD. Yes, that's why I have many accounts. I won't spar anymore because I'm always losing! Sever is laggy and then I start to offend everyone.

No, not this. Not having to deal with Paddie every single time I log into Graal is saving me nerves. I don't know why there should be a device restriction - the PC room was always dead anyways. More rooms encourage more boosting; and there are already enough side rooming 24/7. If you want to spar iOS users only, invite them to your guildhouse and go ahead.

Giving bad players the option to run away from good players is stupid. I thought everyone (with the exception of actual idiots) stopped using device as an excuse 2 years ago, and the stupidity is evidenced by the #1 singles sparrer being Sarah right now. The only people who need these rooms are trash, and enabling trash is never a good idea.

don't get it twisted, PC players DO have advantages (strafing, overall processing speed) over mobile players, but they are far from unbeatable. i don't think the differences are big enough to justify having separate rooms again. also, since the sparring community has gotten smaller, i doubt anybody would ever use the mobile room.

Soo.. I played graal client servers from 2004-2009. Some of you were there the day we were mad excited for a new challenge on device. Now i gotta go backwards to grow up?

@fulgore, again im not against the open rooms. Segregation would be removing those rooms. i never said pc players were better.. its just an option to fight players with similar handicaps essentially.

@comyt, why yall think its because its so hard lol, its for fun g! Maybe sparring wouldnt have died and people couldnt boost with a bigger community in the rooms.

If you've played since 2004 I'd hope that you wouldn't be challenged by people playing on a mobile device, nor is mobile sparring that challenging to begin with.

If GST is being turned into a single tournament then there's no need for separate rooms either and people are better off just facing any device.

I never wanted only seperate rooms. My fight is for freedom of choice, not segregation of controls.. Taking away peoples ability to choose is called oppression, and i didnt need a dictionary for that.

Sorry my english aint proper enough for ya. As far as a challenge goes, its easy for me to appreciate a game that takes me many years to get good at. More than 13k spars in and i still get sweaty palms on my little iphone5 against a worthy opponent(most people tbh). I wasnt aware that gst was being oppressed aswell. As the numbers die down on an old event it only makes sense. Was not the case with the dev room.

Turn the siderooms into practice spar rooms

Stupid idea to merge tournaments.
-iDev players freeze literally every 10 seconds.
-PC players can strafe (if they are on the left), where as idevs can't. Even though not many PC players utilise this.
-The idev player base in the spar community would die.
-The majority of idevs suck vs PC teams or maybe thats just an excuse for them losing in practice.
-PC players are better in general
-Can't think of another idev besides me who has really stood out in a mixed GST. Partially because most idevices don't like sparring PC players and therefore hardly enter.
-The freedom of choice to decide which tournament to enter isn't hurting anyone

The pros for merging tournaments could be:
-More competition? Nvm, the same super-team of the best 5 players would win everytime.

The rooms were better before, where you had the chance to pick whether you wanted to spar against a pc/idevice player. It can´t be denied that the pc players has more advantage with the extra speed, it´s just about how good they are at using it

Edit: It´s also natural in tournaments that different teams dominate the tournament for a period, that should not mean that you change the structure of the tournament

Just use your VPN as usual, it'll help you spar against PC players.

It's not about who is better, pc sparers has advantages over idev sparrers. Of course every pc sparrer will disagree with splitting the rooms because it will be harder for them to get wins.
