Forza Horizon 3

Anyone play this?

Just got it last night. Its gonna be filler game for AFK time in BDO.
The graphics looks amazing. I didn't watch much of it though, but it seems like TDU2.

Ghettoicedtea 10-26-2017 08:45 PM

do u have wheels?? this *** is absolutely hard to play with keyboard. all these delay input and no sensitivity control options kinda driving me nuts. it takes .5 seconds to turn wheels to right, then takes 3 seconds to undo that lol. so im like drifting everywhere. cause i played games like Real Racing 2, GTA5, I was expecting 100% grip, ez game. lol
but i can see how realistic it would be with a gaming wheel though. and graphics is absolutely amazing. i think im just gonna have this game for chill driving, not gonna play for competitive. or more like i can't play for competitive.

I want it really badly but I'm not gonna buy it if its only on the windows store

I played it on my xbox one so I used a controller. Keyboard seems terrible for driving games. Controller wasn't bad. Tbh, I got bored of it quickly and I feel like if I bought a wheel for it I would have had a lot more fun.

if they gave a full grip like GTA5/TDU it's not bad at all. Even Real Racing 2. I completed the entire circuit series and had no problems.

hmm if controller isn't bad, i might try to get a usb one. cause game overall seems pretty good, i got what i was expected, but control threw me off. lol

the grip is intentional. Turning takes longer, drifting is super fun but takes practice. You can mod cars to your liking so you can focus on the control of the vehicle if you wish. Honestly forza horizon 3 is a great driving/racing game.

It's meant to be more realistic so it's definitely not going to be like gta5's driving but it also definitely takes practice and getting used to. I think a controller would help, though. I don't even know how you control speed on a keyboard.

Holy **** learn to drive avoid understeering and control oversteer. If your in a front wheel drive
>go into turn in 2nd or 3rd gear depending on the turn so you have the RPM to clear the turn and not spin out
>flick your car to the opposite of the turn (a left turn would mean flick your car to the right), then fling your car into the turn
>if your in an automatic or semi automatic transmission, use your left foot to break to shift weight onto the front wheels making your back slide out. Make sure your foot is on the gas
>countersteer to straighten out your car
>recover

is this a forza thing or general? because if it's general your focus is on slowing down and not losing grip to begin with instead of inducing oversteer to counter understeer because you were going too hard into a corner

What i explained is how to do a scandinavian flick or inertia drift in a FWD car cause thats what i drive irl. Gripping is generally what you want to do in a circuit. But i drive dirt roads, where you get 0 traction once you hit 35 and the fastest way to sharply turn is by drifting correctly (handbreak drifts WILL slow you down and should only be used on 3 point turns)

The thing is i wasnt even trying to drift. Just trying to change lanes, but it drifts.
I looked through all the keyboard layout, adjusting difficulty levels, played around with it for like few hours. Didn’t help me.

Never said it was bad game, but clearly they didn’t think through with keyboard ones. Cause they’re mainly targetting wheel users for realistic experience.

You need a controller, or a wheel. You can get a cheap Xbox 360 controller for like $20 and it'll improve the experience greatly. Don't put up with keyboard cats

You're really a gun fanatic.

Here's a random question. Have you played ******** Online aka Stefan's version of era?

SomeGuy 01-02-2018 08:40 PM

yeah i think someone said it somewhere above but you should really buy a controller to play racing games on pc, or a wheel, but they're much more epensive. Keyboards don't really feel right when playing a racing game imo.

Rexx 01-03-2018 10:43 PM

I do! Xbox One.
I mostly play the Hot Wheels DLC.

Peggz<3 01-14-2018 08:53 PM

Depending on the style of driver you are there are a LOT of things you can do in the game. The most fun car for speed that I could recommend is the Aventador SV or the MK4 Supra. Even though the Supra is older with a proper tune and build you can bring it up to around 420 km/h, kind of gets people shook online lol.

If you're into drifting though I recommend the MK3 Supra or the 370z.

Talon 01-17-2018 07:59 AM

best cars for cheap/realistic drift-missile builds are E36 M3, toyobarus, FC3S RX-7, mk3 supra, any MX5, and the good ol' memecars 240 and 86. I find the Zs to be too heavy (don't really like the ol "forza weight reduction", **** is that -600 lbs bull****? what are we removing, the chassis?)

turbo k20 swapping the 86 is one of my favorite drift builds. VtEc yO

can't go wrong with any 2JZ drift build either as long as you're not pushing 900+ HP in a 2400 lb BRZ like every forza player ever

I wish that Forza actually stated the engines you were swapping in, that'd be really cool. I want to try this build though, that chassis is sweet.
