Sorry if there was another threat like this before but i probably didn't found and read it...
Soo everyone, write some interesting fact's about GraalClassic (It would be good if u have some pictures too) !!! |
So like facts about the game or like Easter eggs in Graal referencing things or secrets?
|
Sometimes they IP ban you for no reason and also its just a huge clone of A link to the past or something idk

You used to be able to use bombs to glitch into people's gralat farms since you couldn't lock them

I'm glad guild photos actually have to be reviewed now. |
I remember when there was no such thing as admin abuse :) oh and I miss axel74 :(
|
Used to be a GS in Swamp.
Used to be tower rewards You used to be able to make explosive arrows by placing a bomb and shooting through it. |

Someone invited some people into his house and showed it off, admins came soon after but nobody got in trouble for it as far as I know It was with JamesJaames, Slim and some other people |
the fact that you wrote facts as 'fact's' in the thread name

I accidentally wrote it like that. |
Loved "glitch bombing" into people's houses. Was pretty upset when the allowed you to lock Gralats. I no longer was able to defend and attack other farms. But being able to lock your gralats was a good addition to the game.

Pk. There was a time when you could pk around Graal. Good times.
If I ever meet the noob that disabled Graal city entrance pk area you can bet you will be seeing him/her in WSHH getting knocked the f out #FACTS #worldstarrrrrrrrrrrrrr |
the vip server, where admins would host events for hats when literally 50 people were online (and only like 35 people participated)
someone tell me how that was ever allowed lol |
You used to be able to do all kinds of little glitches to get out of the map; using a horse to jump up a ledge, jumping down a ledge in a certain part of york tower to warp you somewhere totally random, using 2p mounts to easily get into swamp tower flagroom...good ol' days.
I fondly remember using the most elite of glitches simply to catch some butterflies. |
When Guild Houses were first released there was a cliff jump glitch that was used to get off the map.

Admins used to show off their custom bombs and special morphs on top of Graal City bank
|
Before Deadwood opened up, there were a few bushes blocking the entrance (similar to the rocks in Swamptown that prevented us from entering Destiny), and so this whole Bushtown riot thing went around multiple times.
The most popular riots were going inside the bank and turning your lantern on and then typing something in all caps. And around when North Graal Town was turned into MoD town, apparently there was this cheese riot. Staff response was to sell a cheese juggle in the rat hole in the police station Quote:

-graal 2009 and early 2010 guilds weren't released at all, so players ran around with clan tags in their name like call of duty. Most people ran around together pking other clans.
-Then Guilds were released (no allies) and shortly after, towers were released. The top guild in towers for the first few weeks was this guild called (Pandemonium) followed by guilds like (Equinox) and (iBall). -A lot of glitching took place in 2010 and there was this hacking tower guild that was pretty notorious in 2010 called (M4SS1V3 CH04S) lead by a guy named S1NN3R. -Tower guilds manly kicked and recruited but without allies, it was very messy. - Admin guilds became quiet cool to join. In the first two years of graal anything admin associated was cool, they were like celebrities back then. They would pop up in random places and draw crowds and do a hat give away. Admin hugs was another big thing, basically you would try to get an admin to hug you, screen shot it and post it as your guild picture ... lol I don't remember which was released first but they released Allies and Houses (not guild houses, regular houses, around the same time) -Allies in late 2010 caused towering to be less messy, no guilds reached 1,000 yet. AGK War Section was #1 with 400 hours prior to Allies, then when allies were released PULSE used the system to collect a hundred loyal members and they were the first towering guild to not kick and recruit as much. They eventually passed AGK War Section and were the first guild to 1,000 hours in 2011? (i think) -Houses were the start of graal iclassic music videos , new glitches and house farming. -Solo spar had a ton of boosters, Matt aka iPanda made spar fun though by giving away hats to sparrers who achieved these milestones - 6k, 10k, 20k. There was even a big race to 10k wins. Which most of the people who reached it noob boosted (which is ok, everyone sucked at spar back then and if you knew how to C spar, you were PRO) 2011 -Guilds started reaching 1000 hours, they were rewarded with a "Revolution" party in their honor with their own members only VIP room (only happened for the first dozen or so guilds) and were given a hat. Later in 2011 Venus Gospel took the place of PULSE as the best Tower guild. - Guild sparring and solo sparring started building their own communities (prior to 2011 there were only a few recognized sparrers) . Guild sparrers sparred in swamp town- Max, Primetime, Killman + the "jap" sparrers , Fro, Guizmo + the frenchies, DoT (me Bobby Mamba, Shannon, Chai-t, Suicide, Mimi, Nike</3, Kentaro, jojo, jackson ect) and many more that i forget. While the 1vs1 spar community had many skilled players in guilds such as Anubis, and SiB. -Admins still were celebrities, Zanza became the biggest admin guild in 2011, were even given their own Guild house ON THE MAP that only players with a zanza/allied section could enter. (so was SNC but anyone could access their house and SNC was owned by a fake Kio Demigod, not the real Client KIO). Zanza had: Azraels tree house, where players in Zanza could enter behind the bar. The Zanza Base which had a fireplace, a fire pit under this cool moon light, their own spar arena, and a few other things. Joining Zanza meant u were cool lol. And many players who joined got hired as Graal Police, was somewhat corrupt but whatever was more interesting than what goes on in graal now (which is nothing but military role play guilds and lag) -hat shops and honor points more and more hat shops./furniture shops started opening up and body shops and head shops, you could only upload personal shields/swords back then through email and it was for free. If you were tight friends with some GP u could get your own stuff uploaded to shops but thats about it. Every player was given one honor point to give someone, it was an awful idea. People just begged noobs at Ballamb to honor them, then used it in the Honor point shop for hats. -Guild houses they released guild houses. not much to say about it.. glitches and ect -Snow town yeah snowtown was released, was popular at the end of 2011. even had a ice spar. Facebook server Either was start of 2012 or end of 2011 they released an unpopulated facebook server that was out for a few months that guilds used to get 1,000 hours for their guild hats. was garbage. 2012 Age of Spar 2012 was the best for the spar community. The staff released leaderboards for sparring and the spar community was at an all time high. Client PC players came overtime, iphone 4 was released so idevice sparrers could spar more aggressively (playing graal on older iphones was slow af). GST was released and it was monthly , during that short period of time everyone in the spar community was online sparring everyday. The hype of the spar community VERY slowly died since they made GSTs seasonal. 2013-2014 were good years for sparring too but not as great as 2012. 2015-2016 sparring was still alive but not crazy active. 2017-2018 was the death of graal sparring. TO be honest, my thoughts of the other things that went on in graal from 2012-2017 isn't that good because I only came online for spar since 2012. Didn't really leave the battle arena much since 2012. Sorry If I'm not 100% accurate but this is from memory. |

I forgot about admin hugs haha.
A few years ago, most of Balamb was redesigned. There was a huge farm in the center of it and since it was a no-pk zone, a lot of people went there to steal. Back in the day, if you lagged more, you were going to get more gralats. It was chaos, just a couple dozen people running around the same farm 24/7 |
People used to morph into a rat, hide behind anyone afking, and then say stuff like "I'm gay".
And there used to be rows of people holding signs up and each person types out one letter to a curse word. Mainly f-bombs |

When adding new areas, they didn't disconnect everyone and then put the game on hold so that way nobody could interfere. Instead, they did it while a bunch of people were online and confined us all into Graal City, creating immense lag (added on top of the fact that they were literally adding an entire new area to the game). When they were adding MoD Town you literally couldn't go anywhere and were trapped in Graal City (from what I remember). I remember some guy glitched into a blocked off area (the cliffs near Onnet Town) and a bunch of us watched his stats get reset, and I think he got banned after that.
Being able to use mounts in towers lol. Mau5trap could hold Swamp from Venus Gospel for hours with just a few guys blocking the entrance to the flag room with their mounts. Quote:
2011 was the ERA of admin guilds: Feare, Magic, Zanza, to name a few. Even Ch4rm at one point because of Elly and Storm. Guilds dominated by the presence of admins in them, promoting their guilds on their admin accounts, and Azrael's Treehouse. They kinda lost their "exclusivity" around 2012 (I remember getting recruited to Magic with like 800 hours lol) and by 2013 most of them died out after a ton of the admins quit. 2012 and before was honestly the prime time to be an admin, as they were literally praised by the general population. A few still kinda are, but not nearly as much (especially after they removed the list of GPs from the FAQ area). Sometime before York was released, someone said they glitched into the area and saw Azrael testing out 'jousting'. Don't know if the rumor is true but I remember a lot of people started talking about it. At this point I'm just stating random stuff about Classic lol. I seriously hope events like Freeze Tag and Survivor/Survival (forget what it was called) are reintroduced to the carnival. I know they had some issues but the Carnival is already buggy enough so they would fit right in. |

I used to wear the plain body and all orange colors and spam the glove button with other people in public areas. They either agreed to or I did it to random clothed people. Sometimes it was in my house on a table.
not really a fact about the game just wanted to share that lol. |

Oh, and I've got an interesting fact for you guys- I've got an old PC version of Graal Classic, (some files weren't updated since 1999) and almost all the graphics in the game files are still compatible with Classic today, meaning you can put them in your statuses or on furniture messages. Since all graphics were converted into png from gif, the old actual animated files won't move anymore. The removed files were due to copyright, things like zelda.gif were removed in the conversion to add the old graphics to the current iOS port of Graal Classic. Here is a little list of interesting graphics that were kept in the current Classic: masterli.png map.png oldmap.png mausoleum.png destinycentaur2.png destinytree.png destinysign.png ccvolcanoboss1.png tanaraus.png snowmangler.png pike.png minedino.png mineblade.png metaltree.png onix.png monstergold.png goldhouse1.png A few graphics in the old PC version were taken from Earthbound, these images were modified in 1999. (Onnet town used to be called Onett, the same name as the first town from Earthbound) These include: signa.png signb.png buttrfly.png |
-Fun Facts- (no order)
1. When bugs were first being tested, killing a baddie would almost always spawn a bee. 2. Towards the end of 2012, there was a new version of Snow Town created, but never released. 3. Deadwood is the only town in iClassic that still has the old version of it accessible, though only on Halloween. 4. When the failed FaceBook server was released, players could see the names of staff even while in stealth. 5. During the 2010-(early)2011 era of iClassic, it was possible to upload custom heads/bodies in-game, though it had to be done over e-mail. 6. In the early days of iClassic, (when jail was still a thing), Jailed players could talk to other prisoners, update their status, and even change their look, but could not send PMs, or guild messages. 7. In Graal Classic (PC), shield3.png actually made you slightly faster, this was carried over to iClassic, but removed soon after. 8. iClassic had a total of 3 cut quests, if you count the unfinished quests. The first was fighting a large dragon, the reward being a herra. The second was after upgrading the lantern (and waiting for night time to come), you'd light the Grave entrance near Onnet. Which a relic of this can still be found in-game if you attempt to light the entrance. The third one isn't so much cut, as it is unfinished. https://puu.sh/yXgpk/f651e4c76b.png 9. There used to be a glitch where if a player layered several pieces of furniture onto one another, and enabled "push/pull" - the player could pull the object, then hit the "out" button of the house at the correct time, they'd go the distance they would have if the pulled the object, warping the player over boundaries. (This has long been fixed) 10. The clothing mannequins found in Taylor Richaards, as well as the Mirror, and Chest were given to players who found the codes that were randomly generated throughout the Taylor Richaards site as part of a promotion. (Which makes me sad because I found like 4 of them, but didn't understand what they were for, since I was not told during the time.) 11. If your PC Graal account, and your iClassic account shared the same e-mail, you could not use both accounts at the same time, even on their respective servers. https://puu.sh/yXgSI/9f5cc3561d.png |

There was a way to glitch yourself into Lag Island from the upper entrance. This is what lag island looked liked: Spoiler

"Second Server Glitch"
There used to be a glitch where quickly running in and out of a door(or other warp) could cause the game to see your character inside the building while you're actually running outside on the gmap on your screen. Some things wouldn't load outside in this glitched state allowing you to simply walk out of the boundaries of the map. If you tried to enter any door or other warp you'd be teleported back inside the building you started the glitch at, although at a random coordinate inside that level. People used to abuse this during Nexus and Revolution parties to get behind the bars a lot since those areas used to be inaccessible unless you got dragged by an admin. |
