Hello, I am the new Administrator for the forums. I hope that we can make this a successful forum. :)

why did it take months to make you the new administrator for the forums and furthermore why are people constantly put into positions of power when they aren't even an active part of the community

not flaming/hating but asking 2 genuine questions that concern me

Will registration ever be reopened?

Can we get some more details about the changes that occurred with the site over the past couple months?

This has been discussed for awhile. I dont know why it took so long to open the forums back up. Also, I was a very active member of the community, on PC Graal. Unixmad has developed a trust in me in that time. I do occasionally play classic on facebook, as well as, check out other servers. I do not see what being actively playing, has to do with making sure nothing inappropriate is posted on the forums.

has more to do with alienating the userbase but i trust you guys have learned your lesson from the way the official forums were run.

I will see about reopening registration, and I do not know what, if any, changes were made during the downtime

The way you can only sign-up is by contacting a moderator is unprofessional and not right. The registration should be totally closed or totally opened.
Giving the reason “because a lot of alts are signing up” isn’t a valid reason because the benefits of having the registration open has a lot of more impacts than this one single negative point which is ppl having multiple accounts in forums . You can’t enlarge your community if you don’t allow them to be a part of it.

Going back to the thread topic, I hope Darlene does her job properly. It shouldn’t be a problem, From what I saw from the recent threads in the official forums, the moderation there looks alright.

I'd just like to point out that "trolling" isn't listed as an illegal activity. I'm concerned that these new "moderators" are not serious about their position.

She probably got bored at her last Administrator position at the official forums, where she hunted all the users to extinction.

To clarify, this is 'New Administration' not just a new administrator being added.

Graalians has for a long time been an unofficial forum, but with Darlenes acquiescence and my resignation comes with the forums being under ownership of Toonslab/Unximad which now makes Graalians an official forums.

Not saying this in a negative way but if you want this to work you need to be honest and transparent. This is a big change and something I would of liked to have eased into but unfortunately that did not happen. I wish you the best of luck, you'll need it.

There's no easing into it with Toonslab. There's either doing it randomly out of nowhere or not doing it at all.

The question we should be asking is how an unofficial forum ended up in the control of management?

Although, I do believe we should give all of this a chance before making a judgement call, Darlene has been more lenient in recent years on the official forums.

Just so you know, I am not about censoring. I am about enforcing the rules, and making sure everyone enjoys the forums in a appropriate way.

So uh. Could you perhaps be a little more transparent about what you consider to be "appropriate" behavior on the forums?

Common sense, and follow the rules. I am pretty sure that the age group here should know how to act appropriately, without having to be specific.

You can't know that for sure on the internet...

We just don't want to be in the position where we have to ask ourselves what we did wrong. That I feel is incorrect management.
