I know I'm a little late to make a post but I only just now thought to make a thread about it. I'm so excited for this I don't have words. Spyro was pretty much my childhood alongside Crash Bandicoot, but Spyro more-so. Probably never played/replayed a game series more than the first 3 spyro games throughout my life tbh. When Crash N-sane trilogy came out I was like hardcore hoping they'd remake spyro as well and they are!!!! Coming out September 21st (a birthday present to myself :'D!) Already pre-ordered this at mach speed.

Anyone else excited for this?? What are you most excited about?? Discover anymore news/leaks/picture/videos anything about it, post here! I'd know I'd love to see them while we wait for the release date! I think I'm annoying Dusty to death constantly talking about this game what I'm excited about (which is pretty much everything) so let discuss here! I need somewhere to vent my hype.

PS4, xbox one, and rumors say it'll eventually make its way to switch

I'm certain it will be released for Switch, just not anytime this year most likely.

Activision are the ones publishing Spyro Reignited and they're also the publishers behind the new Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy for Switch. So I think it's safe to assume they have the same plans for Spyro.

Most likely just so they have a steady line of revenue, get everyone to buy Bandicoot while it's hyped then have them do the same a few months down the line for Spyro. Also prevents the two games from competing with one another.

I played Ripto's Rage and Enter the Dragonfly (which, despite it's shortcomings, I loved!) so I am very excited to play 1 and 3

I'm looking forward to this game and I'll probably replay the 2nd game this summer to get ready.

They should remaster the Sly Cooper series as well

sly cooper was on the ps2 and honestly didn't age that badly imo so i dont feel like there's a need for it. Games like Croc, Gex and other ps1 games that didn't age well are the ones that could use a remaster, but I dunno if they'd get them considering they weren't quite as popular. I'd also love to see CTR remastered lol, but i doubt that'll happen.

Can hear remastered music from Dark Hollow as well as (what I'm gonna guess will be) the menu sounds. That seems to be the only remastered music available to hear so far. Can't waaaaiiiittt to hear more remastered music. The crash bandicoot remastered music was beautiful, so I have high expectations and hopes for the spyro music.

Some of my favorite songs from the trilogy that I'm really looking forward to hear are Dreamweavers Homeworld (Spyro 1), Fireworks Factory (Spyro 3), and Midnight Mountain Homeworld (Spyro 3). Anyone else have favs?

I really don't think they will. They seem to be/want to be staying true to the original series. I think they know it would really piss people off if they did anything like that..

Some people are wanting a playable reskin of Cynder from the legend of Spyro series but I kinda hope they don't add that...LoS is a whole other game and has absolutely nothing to do with the original Spyro series other than that the main character is a purple dragon named Spyro. Only playable reskin I could see making sense would be like Ember or Flame but tbh I just don't think any reskin should be used at all considering how many interactions Spyro has with other characters. It wouldn't make sense to have any other reskin as Spyro is the one and only hero of the story. Even a Hunter reskin wouldn't make sense really because Spyro talks to Hunter a LOT so...how would that work lol
