everyones getting banned randomly for “altering game files” with this “corrupted game files” detected thing. please fix, wasnt happening before update

yea, its only an hour ban but it's telling us to reinstall the game. is that necessary? and are we going to have to wait the full hour before seeing this update?

ive heard people claim theyre constantly getting banned even when they reinstall game. The update is auction houses btw you can auction hats now tek

rebels told me he reinstalled and his is working fine now, apart from the world around swamp being a giant mess lmao

can an admin confirm whether or not tower/gst/event hats are auctionable? i think that would be a bad idea and dilute their values a lot.

I literally JUST updated my app. Should I not open it? I dont wanna get banned man, cant ruin a perfectly good record.

i think you'll be fine now. even if you do get banned, reinstalling seems to fix the issue

The bans were (obviously) not intended. Reinstalling should fix it. It's less of a ban and more of a warning that "hey, your files are corrupt, reinstall the game". It won't affect your chances of being staff or ruin your record or anything like that either, so don't worry about that.

Just got on, and nothing happened. Maybe I got lucky, or maybe the bugs just been fixed. Thank ya though!

Event hats can't be auctioned either.

The samurai bundle is an auction house exclusive. It will not be sold in a store later. To clarify another point about that bundle: You are bidding on both items and will receive both the hat and the accessory if you win the auction. It will also be auctioned off more than once.

Really liking this update a lot and I'm hoping to see other areas get a makeover. Only issue I have is the auction house, not really a fan of newer players having the ability to obtain old hats but whatever. Thanks to everyone that worked on it.

Also this new picture frame is amazing. I just wish the perspective of it was similar to the nexus paintings because right now it's a bit too tiny and something looks off about it.

That hat predates the time we had an event hat system, so it is fine to be auctioned.

Ohh. I remember winning it in 2010 from an event though. I guess I know what you mean by it, it was when you had to broadcast a message to everyone yourself while hosting and not through the event aoouncement.

Nope nothing yet. But looking at the new swamp town it looks like we might get fishing maybe and access to a new town which both could include quests.

I say we might get fishing because the relocated fisherman could be hinting at different fish by mentioning “lamp squid” being caught I caves.

Also I don’t think 4 times a week is enough! Imo it should be 4 times for each day, 2 days a week instead of one.
Also how do you put your hat in the auction? You just have to be super fast and put it when the auction starts im assuming (is that when the hat holders are empty?)

In my opinion I think this will die down soon and people will bid less and also there’s like 50 people waiting at the NPC with alt accounts ready to submit their hats as soon as it ends LOL

Another suggestion. Can you not allow extremely common hats to be put up there please, including hats that are currently being sold in the hatshops or hats you get from quests...

How annoying, maybe they should make it so you can place your hat in a queue for being sold.

I agree with people saying the current system for auctioning hats is pretty bad and/or unfair. I've tried selling something in every auction so far and I manage to click through every dialogue box as quickly as possible yet 9 other people manage to make it in after I've already hit the last confirmation.

I think a queue system would work much better. One hat per player. Unique hats only, so if one person adds a black halloween hood to the queue no one else can add the same hood until it has sold and left the queue. Last but not least I think that some of the more common hats should be blacklisted. Examples are hats currently being sold, hats obtained from recent events/holidays such as easter/halloween and then hats which almost every player has like that one 50 gralat hat from swamp town which somehow got auctioned and sold for over 10,000.

it's literally impossible to auction off a hat, I tried doing it as soon as he said sold and people still are faster.

i’m having the same issue, i’ve tried it three times now and everyone else is always faster despite me waiting in the room for the duration of the auction. and somebody earlier had three hats in the auction at once .. how ??

I do believe more than 10 hats should be allowed to be acitoned at once rather than making it happen mroe frequently. Add another room maybe

yeah maybe more slots, I was thinking that a cool-down should be added when you have already sold a hat for auction, maybe "you have already sold something, wait 24 hours before auctioning again" because I see the same people waiting at the NPC and always getting their hats in

They should just make it queue. Maybe put a 30 sec duration to place a hat in, then hats will be randomly selected once the duration is done like the ones in event. I also think maybe add more hat slots like Saeed stated. it’s just unfair how people with faster wifi always get the spot. I always came close but it always delays when I’m about to click the buttons.

Really I just wished that they would have added all this new stuff when it was ready. That would have taken away from the fact that the auction house still needs fixing, and if they would have pushed the opening back gave them time to open nexus earlier. Swamp tower and everything that's over there is just a taunt now.

It needs a que system at the minimum to at least be fair to players with subpar connections...that being said the swamptown changes in general look lovely

I doubt it would be 1k que, but even if it's large it's better than praying you don't lag or are a second too late of hitting the button, I'd much rather rng take the wheels of what gets auctioned.

I feel like the auction system should allow you to queue one hat at a time. The queued hats would then all be together in a pool. Rather than randomly picking hats from that pool, I think that players should be allowed to vote for a hat to be auctioned for. Only players with x amount of hours should be allowed to vote in order to reduce players using multiple accounts in order to raise their hat's vote count. That way the hats with the most votes within a certain timeframe are set up for auctioning. I feel like this method is best as it basically chooses hats which players are actually willing to bid for. Doing this helps avoid less appealing hats, which few players would even bid on, from entering the system. This can also be used to help avoid hats in current stores from being introduced, but it is still potentially a problem since it relies on players to have a certain amount of knowledge of the game in its current state.

You could even introduce a small gralat fee, like 100 gralats, in order to make a vote. This can help by weeding out some troll players, since the players paying the fee are more willing to actually bid.
If you set your hat for the queue, you will not be able to change the hat, but you may remove it from the pool which invalidates you from queuing another hat again for the current and next timeframe, but not the ones after. This is to help prevent trolling as well since players can remove their hat from the queue last minute.
Once the timeframe has finished, the queue will refresh completely and you must enter your hat again for the queue pool.
You can make it where also only x amount of players, with x hours, are allowed to join a timeframe to avoid too many people oversaturating the pool.
There can also be another small gralat fee to queue in order to deter last minute removals which take up spots in the timeframe needlessly. However if the gralat fee is too high it can also deter a lot of players from participating in the auctioning system.
Perhaps you can even prevent players who have successfully auctioned off a hat from joining another pool timeframe until an x amount of timeframes have passed to give other players a chance to auction off their hats.

I feel that the auction system should take into account the success of similar systems in other mmos. Make it a list, search able by the year the submitted hat was available. Allow each player 1 item to be up for auction at a time, unless they're VIP, then allow 3 or 5 items. Put a posting fee on the submitted item of 100g per day, make them run for up to a week. Give the option of a buyout amount, if the owner chooses, to allow a player to purchase the submission outright without waiting on the time or paying more than a set amount.

I really love the Samurai Set but I am not willing to spends hundreds of dollars of itunes getting it, it's not worth it in the end.
