1K generic item
 

Hey guys, I have recently moved and now im just getting back on after 3 weeks. But i have a problem:

When the news tells us we will get a 1k hour generic item, that isnt fair. I think its wrong giving rebellious their 1k hat after the change was made. Thats kinda showing how the admins agree about the 1k hat being better than the new "generic item". The guilds that are probobaly mainly affected by this are
Soul of Ninjas
Voyage (mine)
Onzunu Clan
Graal
Takaii
(mabye some more...)

Anyways, weve spent so much time devoted on taking towers and in return i find that were just being teased with. The least you guys could do is inform us on what it is.. Also, does generic item mean every guild is getting the same thing? (pretend soul of ninjas was given a green bomb for 1k, when voyage gets 1k, will we be given the green bomb too?) thanks guys,

Im sorry sir.. It sounds completely opposite to me, regarding the fact Graal Community requested something like this... Its just the prizes aren't worthy as they are but its at least something

they were already close to 1k hours before the change was made.

They should have made a deadline for 1,000 hour hats; Example:

News: February 20, 2012: We have implemented a deadline for guilds to receive the 1,000 hour fort hat. All guilds aiming to receive a 1,000 hour hat must obtain 1,000 fort hours by June 20th, 2011 to receive their hat. All guilds who obtain 1,000 hours after this deadline will receive a more generic item, instead.

Well put, sir. That would have worked alot better. And also, the graal community dident request 1k hat to be changed to 5k, noting how every guild that had not reached 1k yet rioted big time. And still, my main question was what is the generic item and what does it mean.

Stop bitching their only hats what's the big deal. If your only taking towers to get some stupid hat your doing it wrong. Personally I think the whole hat reward was stupid in the first place. I mean if only pulse got it then fine but guilds starte taking towers only for the hat which caused guilds to start using cheap tactics like recruiting temps, chat blocking, etc.

So. What is this generic item?

Getting tower hours is alot harder than spar wins ..

No real major guilds do chat blocking.. Only ones ik of is the one that got 1k today and other ones below 1k

Lol I read it and I responded to it. Im wondering why you care that you don't get your precious custom 1k hat, and I'm saying that people shouldnt be taking towers just to get them. By putting it at 5k it makes it so people probably won't be taking them just to get a hat. I think they should just get rid of the hats all together at this point. The top 30 guilds got their 1k hats. It should be the first ones to get there and I think they've kept it going for way too long.

@pazx: true...I guess staff members just need to be more strict about it and more vigilant. Like if they see someone chat blocking all guild members are removed from the tower and sent to the warning room, a PM is sent to the leader of the guild regarding the matters, then after 5 offenses their time is reset.

@spades: do you consider CoM a big guild?

I think its kind of they're way of dealing with "tower time inflation" I guess you could call it. 1k use to be a huge milestone, Revolution parties for when a guild hit 1k, it was kind of a special occasion.
Now for like the past year guilds are getting 1k hours like its nothing

5k is the new 1k, you still get something for free at 1k hours..how can you complain about something that's free -___-"

Tower taking is all about patience because you can never rush 1000 hours that fast

Com... Has its issues with maturity and there recruits CB sometimes but not like im seeing bosses or even the lead doing chat block.

Tbh reb shouldve gotten reset but they werent because admins want there hat too.

I thought Rebellious is getting the 1k generic item? Now thats not far, they were around 790 when the update was released.

No there gp was an admin wearing there 1k hat.... They get it.

And rebellious Definitly shouldn't get a custom hat. But are you sure that it's a custom hat? Could but just be the 1k generic item?

And yet another thread complaining on how he it's unfair because he wants his lil pixel hat-sigh- when will all this stop?

No it was there custom hat they had as there gp for a while.. There only getting it because admin wanted it to >.> And well com is com, some of the senior com ppl act like children, because the guild almost disbanded when the lead and co lead broke up.

I just dont understand why we arent being told what were going to get.
I would think our possibilites would include:
A special bomb (like dynamite, moneybags, santabombs)
A mount (unlikely, but that would be awesome).
A trophy (they made the "golden easter egg trophy) in a folder, hinting at more trophies... I really hope we dont get a trophy though.
Mabye juggling balls or a pogostick?
Like ^^^these, mabye an action, like the stuff we got from gst such as taunt, levitate, ect

They dont tell you because they have no idea themselves

they could also be doing this because they're tired of being pestered for guild hats..I mean look at how many guilds have hit 1k, that's a lot of hats that the gfx dept. or some other admin has to create, upload, and distribute....and some hats are made by the players but still admins get bugged about it getting upload and given out to every single member.

@Goblin, maybe you should get your guild to 1k hours and find out for us :P

I think Panda League recieved the generic 1k item but im not sure... my friend Prodigy is in PL so i'll have to ask him if he'll tell me :o

A whole what 20? How hard is giving out hats? Theres more h&s hats given out and its same method

Nope we haven't recieved an item yet, from what I hear from staff I don't believe whatever this generic item will be is even made yet.

I DONT WAANA HAVE THE STAFF MAKE OUR 1K ITEM D: i want them all special and made made by our own personal gfx artists ^.^ (pointing at you, sphex !)

My viewpoint of 1k hats is a sence of pride, you csn show people what youve been through, and its pretty much the only way to reward a guild... I mean you could pay them and such but im being legit its the only tower reward ever put in the game so im mad its all switching around after so much time put into towers.

Now see, if you think 1k hats are just stupid and as any other pixels in the game thats an opinion

Or you could show pride by idk your guild profile? The pride should come from you being in the map a lot, and from being successful. People knowing who you are. Not from some stupid hat. And fine if you get pride from a hat that's good for you. But why can't you get the same pride out of a generic item? It still says you reached 1k and shows all you acomplished. Custom guild hats were just time wasted by staff members which could be better spent doing other stuff. If you only want the hat for the towers like I said your doing it wrong. Guilds which reach 1k then stop are stupid. I get slowing down for a bit but completely stopping is just dumb. I mean you built it up, got a ton of members, then just let it die after you got some stupid hat? This way we can hopefully cut out people who do that more.

And even though this has been mentioned before, when 1k was first achieved by pulse it was a big deal because there were tons of other guilds trying for those towers. There was much more competition at towers. This has died out now, and there are only a few tower guilds left who are still very active. Maybe 10-15. So there's not a lot of competition, and 1k is pretty easy. Therefore 5k is the new 1k. 5k Is challenging like 1k used to be. So if you want your precious hat put the time in and really deserve it.

huh?! If your meaning my head, I made ages ago but refunded and now got it back but without the animation i used to have on it.

I'd say it's pretty selfish to ask staff members to give every guild member a custom hat when it can be so much easier to give them a generic item.

Anyways back onto subject. The generic item from what I've heard, every guild that now reaches 1k hours will get same item. Also I was wondering if rebellious are getting hat, Panda League was on like 890hrs when the rule was changed so if they get hat wouldn't Panda League be elegible to get hat?

bwt I'm just putting a point across that they should have put a deadline on guilds to get 1k for hat and after deadline they get item.

No. VG and CoM get mounts and bombs. Mounts are a for sure but a bomb is actually likely for 10k, sorry kid.
