Disapproved For Transparency Problems?

1 Attachment(s)
I've sent this file in twice and both have been rejected for transparency problems. Everything looks fine; don't see why it's getting rejected.

Hmm I wonder why. Did you use gimp?
Also remember me buddy? XD

Yeah, I set my transparencies with gimp. I've made countless animated graphics before with gimp and all have been fine. What's the problem here?

Users using gimp have had a lot of issues with transparency. There is a note in era news saying try to avoid using gimp. I suggest you use paint.NET.

Just use the selector tool on the blank area and do ctrl+x in paint.net
In gimp you just need to set the transparent layer and do the same thing.

I recommend paint.net if all you're really doing is pixel art

The attached graphic HAS transparency?

Manxjojo 02-23-2012 10:47 PM

What?

Rexx 02-23-2012 10:49 PM

Sorry I'm on my iPad so I can't see the actual file...
Are you sure its a png or gif?
When you open it up in an editing program do you see the checkered background? If you don't then it's not transparent.

I've made graphics countless times. yes to it has a checkered background, yes it's a .gif extension.

I can check it for you if you email it to me.

Rexx 02-23-2012 11:03 PM

The uploader must be on crack

Well the website you uploaded it to might mess up the transparency somehow, but I'll check the one on here anyways.

Floridaoranges rejected it twice.

Cat612 02-23-2012 11:12 PM

The transparency is fine, but why is it in gif format, all of the frames are the same?

I've never heard of him. He might be trolling and that's why he rejects. Highly doubt it though.

Okay. Well I don't know what the problem is. You can always PM Flo if he rejects it next time you upload it.

iGhost 03-01-2012 03:54 PM

Same with me I uploaded a head and they had accepted it but when they accepted it was png. Then I changed to gif now they won't except it

LiA 03-01-2012 09:46 PM

I think it has too many frames 0: I remember they're picky on how many frames we use because they don't want it to lag Graal. Maybe cut it down from 24 frames to 12-16 frames only. And, never ever check on "set transparency" if you're gonna upload a GIF image 0:. If that's not the issue, then idk what's wrong with it because it looks fine to me.

Furryamigo 03-01-2012 10:00 PM

Check what color mode it is using and make sure it is set on RGB, not indexed.

Latte 03-02-2012 04:25 PM

Thought I'd just put it out there, if you used GIMP's animation option "Blend", it won't work either :o Everything I put on "Blend" and try to upload doesn't work. Not sure of the solution, perhaps what Lia or Furry said.
