My pick would be MW3. For two reasons. 1. Campaign is great and I like the gameplay way better then Black Ops. 2. I like the new game mode they put into it called Survival if I can recall.

Although battlefield 3 has destructible buildings if they had that in MW3 (Hope) then MW3 will be all sold out for a good 4 months.

Halo 2.

Are those your ratings? I wasn't aware all those games were out yet, I don't keep up as much now.

Not mine ign and most game raters they rate the game to what they think since they had tried out the game before anyone else.

I like Battlefield far more than CoD. I spent a lot of time playing BF:2142 on PC although that was primarily multiplayer. Battlefield 3 will be getting a play through from me, maybe 2. It looked so hot at E3

What did you think of MW3 from CoD XP?

Didn't see it in all honesty but the last few installments of the CoD series have seemed rather...formulaic? I'm not what you'd call a gamer in the modern sense of the word, I'm very casual when it comes to games so it really has to grab my attention and not be repetitive and rely on its predecessors for me to even consider it. Battlefield 3 has my attention.

Out of those three games I'll go with Battlefield 3.
I actually own COD and play GoW at friends house, but actually dont have BF3. I have BF2 and if BF3 is ANYTHING similar to BF2, BF3 easily the best one. The game just feels the most tactical for me, GoW is horrible its literally spray and pray, oh yea and roll around constantly. COD is really similar to BF but it lacks a few things like the Medic for example, which is a huge things in BF. So BF3 gets my BLIND and IGNORANT VOTE!!!

My flaky internet connection seldom lets me play an FPS without lagging so I've been relying on strong campaigns to really sell the game for me. I miss being able to play Halo PC online. :(

I plan on buying both BF3 and MW3 and will be enjoying the campaigns though, but BF3 has definitely impressed me more.

Also BF3 needs:

To me it just seems like CoD is adding things rather than improving or changing things. Then the fact that it's so repetitive makes you wonder if they know how to draw the line between the saying "don't need to fix what isn't broken" or just being so repetitive.

Then people tell me, "Oh what about Spec Ops Survival?" Well still, to me, that's just a combination of Treyarc's zombies mode and Infinity Ward's spec ops mode. Now I'm not assuming that it is, just that's what it looks like when they showed it.

Then the companies sorta make me facepalm when they try to explain certain things. For example, how quick scoping in Black Ops was made more difficult in multiplayer (but not zombies) for the childish reason that "it's cheap" is so stupid.

These qualities have always stood out to me...

Battlefield: Larger maps, team-focused game-play, vehicles.

Call of Duty: Smaller maps, arcade-style game-play.

All multi-player games become repetitive eventually, obviously it's a lot easier for CoD since matches don't seem to take nearly as long.

Both are sequels as well so changing the core gameplay radically isn't exactly an option either and is a dangerous move on the business side of things. I would recommend looking to different titles for different experiences.

I know this might be silly/debate cliche but take a game like Halo. Each one of the titles offered something brand new to the table, and greatly improved on older features which practically make it seem brand new, forge mode for example. It was great in Halo 3, being able to make various games inside of the game itself, then once Halo Reach forge came out, the variety of options available increased so much it's insane. Also Firefight was greatly improved in Reach as opposed to the version in ODST. Even little things like armor customization, yes it was in Halo 3, but what I loved most was the fact that you pick your armor set and play the campaign, then once you're done you go into multiplayer, your character look/emblem is still the same. It felt more satisfying as if you are your own character, or you make the character you play as what you want it to be. Which is rare when i comes to FPS games like Halo.

I'm not trying to say that Halo is the better series, I'm a CoD and Battlefield fan too. I mean I preordered Battlefield 3 and am contemplating getting MW3 now.

Since you showed me that link it's comforting that there are some nice new changes going on in MW3. Though, I admit I did lack in doing my research. It just got disappointing to see not much difference between MW -> MW2 or WaW -> Black Ops. At least in my opinion there wasn't any awesome major differences.

I liked Halo 3 the most.

Mw2 is the greatest; only FPS I've ever played that actually has a goal to work to, nukes. They are the reason I'm still playing mw2

You're kidding right? Halo 2 was the most popular of the series. ODST and Reach are just awful.

I like MW2... Hopefully MW3 will be even better. BO is cooler cause of zombies :)

well thats treyarc. did you know that the each zombies map is another step in the story of the zombies mode? each release in sequential order for a reason.

I can see why some people go for BF3, because of graphics and tactical, but in my case i like fast paced games. for BF3 i usually feel when playing BF2 you need to look for ways around enemies and I prefer to go in head on.

CoD is overrated trash, Gears of War I tried to play but the first one was so awful that I quit, and the only Battlefield I've played is Battlefield 2142. BF is developed by Swedes so they get my natural vote.

Just Cause 2 is better. I find Halo annoying, and not because I'm bad at it.

Just Cause 2 is awesome because of how you can really do anything in that game. I played it and it was amazing flying as high as you can in the game and free falling out of the plane and trying to get back in it, before hitting the ground its a fun and a very hard challenge.

Halo?anoying? Reach can be because of noobs with armor abilities bur halo 3 and most of reach is amazing

Cod now days is the same game with a new skin... Cod has become a generic stupid pointless unfun fps and is all the same thing since cod4 it is made just to milk money..

Nope. And either way, I just use it to master it online, beat campain, and then just play zombies.

Gears of war 3 doesn't come out till tomorrow, and the other two are in november... Don't judge a game by its looks... Get to play the actual thing first before you criticize

Halo 1 was one off the best shooters I've ever played

Zombies is becoming better by the day with dls packs and the story line is so much better than the campaign

ahh I'm a LONG time Halo fan and 2 definitely wasn't the worst.
Halo 2 was the most popular online shooter for a very long time.

The worst would have to be ODST or Reach, but there really isn't a bad Halo game they are all amazing

Screw these 3 titles. I prefer the good old classic shooters where you can actually enjoy with your friends like Timesplitters 2 and Goldeneye 007... All these online shooters are boring but have their shares of satisfaction...

Literally... Stop having to suffer online and grab a shooter you can actually play with your friends like the Halo Series

ODST was a terrible filler to the franchise and an awful cash in. Pretty much add all Halo 3 maps on one seperate disc and on the other have a storyline that doesn't tell anything about the Halo series.

The only good thing that was out of ODST was the firefights but that was clearly it

I think MW3 and BF3 will both be amazing so i will be getting both.
