Quit whining about pc sparrers
 

I'm tired of players whining that pc sparrers have an advantage over iPhone sparrers and shouldn't be allowed to spar against them. The iPhone gst even banned pc players from participating. Using the facebook client grants you no advantage, if anything it gives you a disadvantage because of less responsive controls. People are really just upset because they're getting owned by people who have been using pc controls for over 10 years.

tl;dr: there is no advantage to using a pc for sparring, let pc players participate in future spar tournaments.

PCs with a half-decent processor have much smoother response time and overall better controls, even without experience. I couldn't care less about PC sparrers, but they do have a slight advantage over iDevice sparrers.

Join in on the fun many idevice users transfer there accounts to there pc accounts I don't see what the issue?? Even so if your running on a iPhone 2g and think a 4gs users is infact on a pc then your have another problem.

I know they'll never be dealt with but the least someone could do is make a couple idevice only sparring rooms.

Both are capped at 20 fps, and iPods can easily run Graal at that speed without problems(except when in really crowded places like Graal city). And iPods have better controls because the touch screen allows for very quick manipluation where as the keyboard can take time to react.

Dude no. There is no difference between PC sparring and iDevice sparring. It might even be a liability to the PC users because I have found PC controls very unresponsive. Sparring is a nightmare with the PC.

Except for.. y'know.. their inability to strafe.

Pc sparrers have a decent advange over just the controls, nobody really sees the lag times if a iphone has good wifi.

I feel like the freeze-rate when using a sword on PC is less than while on an iDevice, but that's probably just me.

PC does have advantages as far as less lag and a bigger screen. The controls don't matter because it's the persons personal preference on which controls they do better on or are more used to. They also can run up an invisible area holding down two arrow keys. So yes, there are advantages.

pc has advatage on iphoners. i own on both pc and ipod. i spar with pc on PC GRAAL (UN) and with ipod on iclassic. thats the way it was done and thats the way it should still be.
i would probably have a much better ratio if i used pc on iClassic. but i dont like winning by using an advantage.

Lol how can you say pc have the disadvantage? YOU NEVER SAW 10:1 RATIOS EVER BEFORE PCERS CAME. When you spar a pc on iphone you will notice sometimes you swing your sword and they walk right through it no dmg being done. I spar both iphone and pcers I notice a huge different in difficulty when sparring a pc. And no not cause They've been pc players for 10 years lol. Every pc player, even new ones I struggle against, and most iphone sparrers who have been here before pc was added would agree with this.

There advantage is clearly obvious, just spar a few. A very simple solution: Add one or two spar rooms in battle arena iPhone players only. Than one or two Pc players only. Than one that has both and than the tournament spar which has both. This would make everyone happy and the many old sparrers that stopped due to pcers would probably come back.

Just make one of the smaller arenas iPhone only, simple and everyone is happy.

All I'm seeing is "Boo hoo Thay do to have an advantage clearly cause I'm getting owned".

But they do have an advantage. Not sure why this is being debated, in fact the advantage was so obvious that Stefan gave iPhone players a speed boost to compensate(not sure if this still applies). Physical controls are superior to touch-screen controls, this goes beyond the matter of Graal and into gaming in general; it's simply more responsive. Also strafing has been mentioned as well.

This^^^^^ its so true, its not them lagging either but when sparring a pc ive had them get hit with no dmg.

Thanks for pointing that out captain obvious I'm pretty sure everyone knows I use a PC I have been since 05 on the original server and I also do on iPhone.

i think a pc only and a iphone only room should be made, and keep one as mixed. so you can choose.

pc only would always be empty, they know they have an advantage and like to beat down on kids playing on slow ipods, so they can boost their records.

well if you play in the mixed spar you take that risk, if you dont want that risk, go in the iphone only spar.

Yeah Rexx is right I see now, if there was a pc spar room only pcers would actually get accurate records but they don't want that, they want to have 10:1 ratios. When I look at a spar that high and know that person uses pc, I don't think "Wow, he's pretty good" I think, "Another pc nub who thinks he's actually good".

^Only should be finally lol. and Higbey I can tell if someone uses pc most of the time, it's not hard and has nothing to do with skill. Once they walk through a few hits and hit me somehow through a far distance you know it's a pc lol.

No one said it was impossible. You admitted that they have an advantage, and that's all this thread is talking about. Just because they're possible to beat does not lessen the advantage. That's like saying "You can kill someone who has an assault rifle if you have a pistol in a long-range fight." Ya, you can, but who has the obvious advantage there?

Pretty sure it would always be empty because there aren't that many people from PC, and almost all of them know each other and have sparred against each other for years and are bored of doing it. It's nice to fight some new people once in a while.

That said, yeah, pc players obviously have an advantage.

yea back when graal was first getting started they had a word for this . perhaps you've heard of it "lag" . this whole thread just makes me think iphoners have sand in their vajaja's . i don't care how long the iservers have been out, you guys just flip on your phone one day and find "look there's a game called graaaal in the ishop" . then you lose a spar to an oldbie or someone with a better connection and it's suddenly unfair . if you don't wanna share you'r toys get out of the sandbox . sparing has never been fair cause one person has a faster internet or some other excuse and if stefan has to spend all his time with such petty stuff he's not gonna be improving the game or adding new content to play with . then you'r gonna turn around and complain about that like its not your fault . just play the damn game or remove it from your phone .

First off when you lag it can also effect yourr performance, where you fail and die quick or get lucky and win. Lag cannot be stopped, some people can't afford decent internet nothing we can do about that. But alls we are asking for is one iphone only sparring room, no matter what anyone says, you only need half a brain to notice the difference between pc andniphone sparring. Lag is something people just have to deal with, pcers have way more servers, iphone had 2, now 0.

Pc side- oh ive played pc graal for years theirs no advatages and i own.
ipod side- your lucky their are advantages to your device
these are the thoughts running through everybodys heads after a spar when a pc beats an ipod.

Pc can go up and right at same time.
Pcs tend to delay when being hit when its ipod vs pc
pc can get 3 hits off in the time an ipod can get one (sword of a pc stops earlier when your turning and hitting again)
pc can turn corners easier
pcs can see bottom left corner ipods cant (fingers are there)

ipod advatages:
none really unless you preffer ipod but thats not an advantage you are just better at it.
ive seen average ipod sparrers get alot better and im like wtf! turns out they switched to pc. explain that?

i spar with a pc on PC GRAAL<!!!! i spar with ky iPOD ON iCLASSIC ( the i in iclassic stands for idevice so ... staff messed up big time untill they add a ipod only room)

Depends who the user is behind the screen. PC sparring doesn't belong on an iDevice game. The only place I really think it belongs on the game is the Facebook server. If no one likes it then they can always play Graal PC. I honestly think most people were happier before they unleashed PC sparring onto the iPhone server. If it really has to be on there they should just make the rooms with iPhone only, a room with PC only, and a mixed room.
