Higbey 03-29-2012 01:05 AM

those rules are load of ****.

"Avoid any negative discussions aimed to influence you about family, teachers or religion."

legally they shouldnt be allowed to teach you that, its your right to be able to be educated and learn the truth, or at least what you feel the truth is,

"Check with parents before downloading or installing software

what are you, a 9 year old? what kind of overprotective filter-everything-so-i-can-control-my-offspring mommy teachs you this crap? i want to send a reality check to this idiot. some of the stuff is just using your head, but i mean come on, we are old enough to be able to download a app or make a account without a parent overseeing.

these are the kinds of people who would replace the internet with a monitored good clean filtered "christian" values. such idiots out there thinking they are protecting their children when they are just censoring the outside world.

Legally, they can teach that. It's not disallowing a child to do this, it's advising them not to. I see nothing wrong with the school system trying to keep children safe on the internet... These rules may seem extreme, but they're obviously directed to children with less common sense. So yeah, while you proceed to ramble about how dumb these rules are, think of the large amount of naive children who have been taken advantage of online. At least the people who made this list are trying to do something about it.

Ace 03-29-2012 02:47 AM

I break all those rules...isin't that the normal thing to do?

Higbey 03-29-2012 03:40 AM

I assume since he in high school everyone there is old enough to know anyway, and I think telling kids not to look at anything on the Internet that could influence their religious , political, or filial views is against the law,

Nabu Lapse 03-29-2012 03:48 AM

lol inform your parents of anything that makes u uncomfortable?? I searched "I'm dumb" on google and saw a picture of a huge black man naked in his mirror. The last thing I'd do is run to my parents with that picture on my screen.

It's more "better safe then sorry". I doubt they really care about half of that stuff, but if something happened and they didn't warn about it, the parent's would get pissed.

your school has those rules? Thats hilarious, mine has like 5, one of them in bluntly saying "no pr0nography allowed". And did you ask your parents before you went online?

But one thing, your school lets you into chat rooms and teachers know what 4chan is?

callimuc 03-29-2012 12:37 PM

Ignored all of those rules. Especially

You're obviously not in danger because you have mister in your name. It's still rude to troll people trying to keep you guys safe... just take from that list what you can. They're basically just telling you that using common sense is very important on the internet.

Higbey 03-30-2012 03:05 AM

on the topic of common sense, did you know deleting systems32 actually makes your computer faster?

The Doctor 03-30-2012 03:13 AM

Naw, deleting C:\Windows is much better
