Graal or Minecraft

Which should I purchase?

Rufus 09-11-2011 07:51 PM

Voted Minecraft, because it's nice to try out other games once in a while!

Typher 09-11-2011 07:51 PM

it depends what it is you want from the game I suggest getting both or a cracked version of minecraft for free is just as good.

What cracked version do you have?

Higbey 09-11-2011 08:58 PM

cracked versions arent as good, they cant get updates usually and you cant play multiplayer or add your skin.

Higbey 09-11-2011 09:08 PM

How long do you think that will be?

I just can't find any cracked versions.

fp4 09-11-2011 09:48 PM

Pretty sure you can try Minecraft free on their site as well.

You can always just use SuperRewards to get Graal subscription.

Dusty 09-11-2011 09:57 PM

Minecraft.

Yes, Minecraft is fun, and it's a once buy thing! NO resubscribing!

Papyrus 09-11-2011 10:05 PM

Minecraft is much more worth it.

Dusty 09-11-2011 10:09 PM

Minecraft may get boring after a little while, but that little while lasts a long time. You definitely get your moneys worth. Especially if you find some friends to play with on a server.

Is there a server filled with Graalians or what

Apparently UN has a server, but I mostly play on theugcc server... but it's kind of barren right now. I'd wait for 1.8 to be officially released to really get into a server because it's not gonna be compatible with old worlds. Hell, 1.9 won't be either so don't get too attached to anything.

When is the non-beta version coming out?

Cat612 09-11-2011 10:39 PM

yeah, uh the price is supposed to increase tomorrow

No it's not. The price increase isn't scheduled until the Final release... which not even Notch knows when that will be. I'm guessing it won't be anytime soon.

I thought he set a date for the final release? Like 11/11/11 or something...I swear he did.

I don't recall that... Maybe 2.0 will be released then, but I don't think it'll be a final version.

Well then lol at that. He needs to step it up big time if he wants to get it released as final by then. 1.8 has been in the works for a long time, and most of the big content was pushed off until 1.9. All this time and it seems like they barely got anything done, and they want a full release in a few months? Then again they'll release it as a full version, raise the price, but not really do anything like they did when they released it as beta. Notch said over and over that Beta would be the moment Minecraft SMP was just like offline... Only, he never did that and just released it anyways because his new bosses told him to(aka for the money).

Crono 09-12-2011 03:34 AM

Minecraft, pay once and f2p like Graal used to be.

Cat612 09-12-2011 03:37 AM

I thought the final release would be 1.8, that's what he said before anyways

MattKan 09-12-2011 10:35 PM

The new minecraft section... I like it :)

notch is the boss lol. and they added alot of new features, plus once you buy it you get updates for free, the minecon did kinda delay the 1.8 release

Jebs is boss. Notch is lol.

Rufus 09-13-2011 12:29 AM

After looking through the updates that are planned for Minecraft 1.8 I was left kind of confused. People are psyched for these updates, and if content was released in the same way (and on the same scope) in Graal it would have a way smaller reception. People would still be whining about the lack of updates, lack of content in the releases, etc. I think that's funny and kind of sad at the same time. They've gave you all such a strong sense of entitlement.

He can't even get it, ROFL. It goes to his company now and according to his lawyers it's easier to take out a loan than to actually get some of his money.

Three cheers for our society! Wait, why is nobody cheering?

fp4 09-13-2011 01:06 AM

If it was personal income he would have been taxed a huge amount, he's probably living quite comfortably with a nice big salary though. I remember reading that he was just going to re-invest the money back into his business anyway. Gratz to him, millions off a game that isn't even "final" yet.

However at the same time he's getting way less compared to big titles that people pay $60 and only get 10-15 hours of content, if that. However, still ya, he definitely made it big with Minecraft.

See? Care more about the players and the game than the money and you'll go far. Stefan and unixmad could learn a thing or two from this.

They haven't learned in 10 years, I don't think they're gonna learn anytime soon.

Also, Notch hitting it rich with Minecraft had hardly anything to do with him. Ya he made Minecraft, but most of the advertising was done by word of mouth that spread very fast and far. In fact, it kind of happened overnight. Valve Mentioned Minecraft in their blog(saying how much they play it at the office) and suddenly sales went through the roof, making it an overnight success... pretty much thanks to one blog mentioning it. It was so fast that the servers crashed and Notch lost access to his paypal because of fraud suspi-cion.

Crono 09-15-2011 12:02 AM
