9/11 items
 

apparently now there is a shop in era that sells, yes sells, 9/11 things. to show support for 9/11 players need to buy the signs, they arent just given to players. this is capitalizing off a national tragedy.didnt we learn enough from what happened with the nexus last year? sensitive topics like this shouldnt be added into graal, and if they are, then certainly no one should be making money off of it. this is like those people that try to sell people rubble from the towers as memoirs and "artifacts" and make money off of it.

this should be free so players can use it to show support without needing to pay, capitalizing off of 9/11...for shame, and to top it all off snk deleted my posts about it and closed the thread so i couldnt say anything more about it.

so i made my own thread so me and fowlplay4s opinion of this being offensive can be seen and discussed openly.

Yeah I do admit, it is a touchy topic and I personally think the items should have been free.

We're not asking you to buy the items. We gave two shields free. It's not capitalising from a nations tragedy, it's bringing people together.

for a price. it doesnt cost you money to make that virtual sign and stuff. your not losing money if you made it all free. i dont see why you seem to think its fair to be getting money from peoples support. im sure unixmad and stefan wont get upset if you explain how sensitive a topic this is for americans.

and if they arent the ones pressuring you to make money off this stuff, then well shame on you.

They don't have anything to do with this. I made the prices low and not over priced- they're not expensive.

Why should I be ashamed? I'm happy with the result, players are happy and are offering each other support- what more could you want from an online game?

Probably that everything would be free and a demon religion support.

let me ask you this. if it doesnt have to do with the money, then why did you make these items cost so players had to pay for them to show support?

You dont need to buy the items to show support, no one is forcing people to buy the items :p

well still, there is no reason why they are doing this other than to make money, making money off of 9/11 is just wrong

I'm gonna side with Higbey on this. I watched a lot of 9/11 information on TV, and it really is a huge tragedy. You may have to live in America to understand...

No offense to you, I think the signs and everything are great, but they really should be free. An easy solution would be to apologize to the players who purchased the shields, make them free, and move the cars and stuff to a different shop, maybe celebrating election day?

And it's not about "not getting what you want for free", it seems like you are abusing this national tragedy to make money. I'm sure that's not your goal, but that's certainly what it looks like, and it may upset some players.

the thing is there shouldnt be products to buy in the first place, its supposed to be free, id understand if it actually cost you guys money to make it, but this is just plain profiting off of it.

your starting to remind me of unixmad, the whole "if you dont like it then leave" attitude, refusing to budge when it comes to money, and basically never listening to players.

i still dont quiet understand why you guys refuse to budge when it comes to things like this, but i guess there must be some reason that your not allowed to tell us, you seem too nice to do something like this just to make money off of a tragedy, hopefully next year things will be different.

and even if they want to buy something... 150 for a flag is very low. Even if u just started the game u have 200 g start money.

I WAS TOUCHED THAT (if im correct,) SNK, from the UK, MADE(or helped make) THESE EVEN THOUGH HE ISNT AMERICAN? (no offense if u are) who cares if u had to pay for these things? be happy.. on classic, u got a free hat... woo hoo. here we got a lot of choices of stuff... and TWO free things

It was just a shallow memorial with a tasteless gift shop attached to it. It should have never been made.

Stefan deleted all the complaints on the official forums under the guise that it was all spam and that "people were making fun of 9/11."

im just seriously disappointed that someone would have the nerve to complain about this. look at the show pawn stars. how often does someone die, someone else makes a shirt with their name on it, and it sells for thousands??
these 9/11 items dont have to be free. they are simple merchandise to help everyone remember what a tragic day 9/11 really was. its just memorabilia. (<-- idk if i spelled that right)
