UFOs?
 

Well the last few days I have been watching a lot of this guys videos: http://www.youtube.com/user/AnonymousFO?feature=watch. I just wanted to know your guys opinions on UFOs becuase personally I think very soon these beings will make contact.

If there is a rational reason that aliens somewhere in the galaxy will make contact with us, there is none. We are a tiny spinning rock in a solar system more than 4 light years away from any other solar system. If our own solar system has life forms out side of earth, they are either very primitive or bacteria type substances. But if there truly is another form of intelligent life somewhere in our own galaxy and somehow are close enough to us that we can detect them in these videos I have no idea why they would be hiding in the shadows and offering brief glimpses with almost little to no evidence of them, or why they would come this far to play hide and seek if they are already here. I think that the real solution to all these ideas is that if you want to see something, you will try and see it. Thats how the mind works, and these people that want to see UFOs will find irrational evidence to support their want. Thats it. Theres nothing else, and no logical explanation to why aliens would come at least 4 light years to hover around us for thousands of years and not do anything

I agree with Pimpsy. We're like a little isolated speck. There are millions of planets a whole lot bigger than us - some with resources that could actually be used. We are already wasting all our resources, so, if there were 'high tech' beings that had been amongst us for years, it would be far more logical for them to go all hulk on us before we developed this far.

The only thing Earth can offer now is extra space and seven billion slaves. Oh, and water, if the aliens like to swim in what is more or less now polluted muck.

Actually europa has liquid water, its in our own solar system. Scientists now believe liquid surface water may also be very common in the galaxy.

Ok, put it this way -
Earth is a planet.
In our Solar System there are 8 planets (9 if counting Pluto which is a dwarf planet)
There are Millions more Solar System's in our Galaxy (The Milky Way)
Think of all of those planets within those Solar Systems.
Scientists have discovered OVER 2BILLION more Galaxy's.
It's extremely un-likely that inside of them 2Billion Galaxys,
Trillion's more Solar System's,
and Kazillions of more planets, that we are the only one able to sustain life.

It's Definately an interesting subject, In the muslim Holy book (the Quraan) God says that "
there is life un-like your usual, but you are the smartest beings that will ever exist",
many people thinks its reffering to animals, but i dont...

i doubt humans are the smartest. we could be very behind other life, in fact maybe other life is smarter because THEY DONT BLOODY DESTROY THEIR OWN PLANETS ECOSYSTEMS!!!!!

Anyways on the subject of intelligent life i feel that there has to be life more intelligent than us. We are a single speck out of the trillions of planets in the universe, it's just insane, irrational, and ignorant to say otherwise. Even limiting this idea to our own galaxy is insane. People don't realize how collosal galaxies themselves are. Out galaxy is estimated to be 100,000 LIGHTYEARS wide. 100,000 LIGHTYEARS. That's unimaginably big.

The term Unidentified Flying Object or UFO doesn't mean flying saucer. It means that the person witnessing the object doesn't know what it is.

I once saw a UFO over Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Turns out it was a Black Hawk flying into Pease Air Force and Naval base for an air show that weekend.

Yeah we know that. But we're talking about people thinking that some are intelligent life outside of earth.

i dont doubt that out of the tons of planets and solar systems theres at least one scenario where life on one planet has encountered life on another planet, thing is, the chance that there is a planet with intelligent life near enough for you to reach is so small that the chance of both of the species being the same level of technology would be improbable, it would be storm troopers verse ewoks, and it wouldnt go the way it went in the movie. or the way it goes in avatar,the more advanced race wouldnt even need to send out ground troops, they could just send bombs from orbit, no chance of survival.

honestly, if another race can manage to find and get to us, they are obviously far superior to us, and we would barely have a chance, i doubt we even have any space defenses that could even help.

and even if by some chance the other species had no intention of harming us, we would end up doomed, they wont just come down, "hey, here is some super advanced technology for free, we just wasted all of our resources to come give you this stuff and check you out, kthxbai!", i mean, humans hate eachother because of skin color, and because of religion, can you imagine how quickly they would turn on aliens with the negative connotations we have of them?

we would just be exploited, like the conquistadors exploited the south american natives,how english exploited native american "indians", and how everyone exploited africans, hell, rome exploited everyone,

so now how in the world could you possibly even believe that a alien race could have visited us and not done anything?

i can say without a doubt, there is life out there, and if they visit us, we will know.

on a serious note and on-topic, I saw this video on another forum a long time ago. Its pretty good and gives me the chills, it didnt get 2mil+ views for nothing.

If your counting dwarf planets then there is 15 planets not 9 :P

Okay.."some" of these footages cud be real but what if these "aliens" were making a "sign" or somthing...they might be telling us that they are here,or planning on an attack,or both..if these "aliens" are highly harmful,then aren't we lucky that we... "think" that they are not upon us. Thinking about all this knowledge cud be dangerous cuz we cud die.And probrably worse,I'd say a lot of these people who caught "UFO" sighting are 70% fake.

Common compared too? Last i heard it was very extremely a mythic substance. The closest i could find is that there are 5 planets with h2o- which is deuterium or heavy water.

To expand on. That. If the universe is truely infinite, then at some point, at some time. There is an exact clone of earth

paralell universes, different dimensions, in the grand scheme of things we are a minor detail.

On another note. The sun is cooling. I believe that at one point mars was earthlike. And that as the sun cools the earth will become new mars and venus will be a new earth.

eh, its not all about tempeture, its about the make up and the exact way life comes..... its been proven how amino acids were made, but as for how the first life for formed....chance, from a meteor, made by a certain reaction? we dont know, i belive in it coming from a meteor,

now, if we made a large system to recreate the earths environment before life, when life was just forming, and had a artificial system for the water cycle and the such, and we had all the chemicals and sterilized elements like the earths ocean before life... and we left it going and going.....would anything form?

I don't agree because Earth has a totally different atmosphere than Venus or Mars.
