Level up system
last night i was thinking about this and it kinda came to me as a great idea, you can say its stupid or not i dont really care but it would give Graal Classic a lasting appeal, ive seen many people quit the game cuz they complain theres nothing to do in the game, im just saying Classic should stop being a chatroom game, to bad there not hiring for scripting ;) ha i would never work for Graal what am I saying xD if i was staff id quit forever lol
|
This is for other servers, not iClassic. Wait for iDelteria, and iStroseria, if you want leveling.
|
Why would I want a ****ty level up system? If you want to play a good MMO, theres a billion games, that aren't graal.
|
dang fine xD no need to get mad lol
|
nay. delete

The best aspect of graal classic is you can compete in combat without others having better stats that one hit kill you or overpowered weapons* cough*era* cough*
however I do agree classic should stop being a chatroom game and start focusing on the old goals. When Graal city became pk and when new pk zones were added almost everyone loved it but it was changed back anyways. |
I dont think a level up system woud be necessary on classic since there are not a lot of different ways to fight.

Yea, in era it's not "all weapons are equal but different", weapons cost money and arent all equal.

Anyway, I've seen levels in the screenshots so I'm not leaking too much. |
I'm opposed to a traditional level up system, but I think it would be neat to have quests where you can upgrade your maximum life like Unholy Nation does, and maybe your sword too.
|
First off, it is not really a game. Classic does have game elements, but this is mainly a social game. Leveling will not be as simple as just coding in a leveling system. You have to put in other factors like changing the entire melee system already. But there will be other versions of graal out there with leveling system.

Obviously the lazy people will stay and do nothing and chat. Everyone else who actually wants to play a game will have something to do and work for and progress. |

If they played together, with no way to tell which platform they're playing on, except for if they asked them, would it really matter? I think not. They just use different controls. Humans aren't any better because they use a computer, or an iPod. |

ROFL! A LEVELING UP SYSTEM? THERE'D BE LIKE 15 PLAYERS OUT OF 1800 WHO'D ACTUALLY GO OUT AND TEST THE NEW UPDATE.
|
Quit iGraal, pay for gold subscription on Graal PC, done, alot of servers with leveling .
|
Making graal a real mmo< hatshop
Making 30 servers and leaving the original to be the least dev> good mmo content for iclassic |

No no no no no! I refuse to accept a level up system. (<- no sense right there .-. )
As itsbao93 said, its mainly a social game. I beleive reading that Graal was ' a social game with a twist ' |
And what keeps us from adding levels and turning it into a REAL. Game

I was saying it would be successful on a different (new) iPhone server. Quote:

[QUOTE=Rexx;145779]iClassic has been established as a social server, and even stated as such by certain staff.
I was saying it would be successful on a different (new) iPhone server. Oh! My apologies. For a new server? Yeah, I think it would be cool |
Introducing a level up system will just pull Classic iPhone away from everything it's already about. Since a levelling feature is such a major system, most of the server's gameplay and such will revolve around it, and I don't think that Classic iPhone wants that to happen. It's a nice idea, but not for Classic iPhone.

I would GLADLY commision myself and my small army of developer friends to make a level system. Quests and acheivements. And it wouldnt take YEARS to get one update out either... |

This is a Classic style server, and it would be in everyone's best interest to keep it that way. There are other servers for people who think otherwise.

Developers would have to spend time doing a lot of reworks and adding to the game i they were to add this system. Leveling, okay I leveled up... What can I do? Unlock skills? (needs rewrite of the simple already hit with melee and arrow in one direction.) also counting other stuff idk a lot... Health will be change, have to put in new weapons now... Etc. Okay, leveling up? Need monsters to fight right? Need experience right? Well, baddies and pyrates won't just do, a huge amount of space will be needed than the current map for monsters. These are just some examples how big this update requested would be. I have no really sat here and took these into balancing either. Who knows, if this did happen, no much more hats? No more ustome swords (maybe pay for skins) change exactly how tower system and sparring works. Besides you, I believe the majority of graal would not want this update. It wouldn't even be graal anymore, perhaps the game will be renamed once again if it does. Basically a new game, why not wait for the next to come out? |

Anyways, what is this idea? "Level up system" is extremely vague. What are we leveling up? ***** size? |

A "Classic-style" server is something that revolves around being balanced, where players all have an equal chance to win a fight, defend a tower, etc. If you feel that strongly about a level system and love how much better it will make the gameplay, I advise you to try playing on a server called Zodiac. Not Classic, Zodiac. Now, with all this talk of iZone, Delteria, etc., Maybe you would prefer one of those servers. If this is truly your opinion and not simply a lust for "something other than a hat shop", this is not the server for you. |
