First impression upon playing iEra for the first time?
 

Okay, I really wondered what everyone's first impression was, when they played iEra for the first time.
A classmate introduced me to Graal back in April 2011.
At first I thought it was just another bad 2d game, since I only had starter gun and got killed easily and thought it was tiring to dig shells and get trash until I played it again in June and bought my very first Ak47 and from that day I became addicted to Graal.
This happened to all my friends and I wanted to know if this has happened to any other Graalian.

I started playing era during the old times. They were the best! Guns were more balanced. Ak 47 can beat m4. Uzis were great along with shotgun. Handgun takes practice. (Starter pistols had the appearance of a handgun back then)

What I didn't like was the somewhat steep learning curve. But it wasn't as bad as it is with the current era.

I remember I tried classic first and hated it. I came to era and right out the gate someone with the noob vampire head shoots his ak47 at me. Then of course I learned about the jobs and saved up. First I bought a single Uzi. Then, two shotguns. Then from there the ak47 and then the m4. Yeah, the ak got me hooked. Too bad they killed it.

This is a silly idea but, I kinda want a sever in era that takes you back to the early times in era. I doubt it'll happen though. =(

I started playing era 1 and a half years ago, I first hated it, but then I have found the Events system quite fun since I won it the first time... Back then. There wasn't anyone who helped me (well until Christmas with the PR hirings) so I joined my first gang "fresh era cops" and became a co leader...
So I thought the game would be cool if I continue... So many stuff happens... Then my leader got off for 30 days, I created my own Gang and called it "Noobs For Life" which I was alone in it... Then, I always thought sK was the best gang out there, because I used to spend times in astro (what made me happy back then was when n0n021 dragged me to bar)
So then, I learned there was a leader board, I checked and got weird that a gang called "EBIZOU BASE" had 2100hours somehow... And I was trying to see what was it? Then I bought a " Uzi" and felt I was pro... So I joined Ebizou the next day, gave people stuff, helped them a lot.. And got them all my loyalty... Then, after that, I got recruited as a perm in sub, and Mayu kicked me for the reason I was offline for 1 day...
I got a bit angry, then I bought era+ with lots of $...(back then we only had 8000gralats packs) so later down, I found a way to hack an application called "App Trailers" and was in era news with a friend telling him "I hacked it!"... Soon enough, I see an admin that came and dragged me, asked for my hack issue. That was WDM, I explained to him how the hack worked... He said he was sorry and rewarded me with a bamboo and water pistols.
So later then, lord Greg got kicked out from Ebizou, he was so mad, that he wanted a gang to crush it... Eventually he joined NFL, we could take the base from them, but for a short time, because we got other things to do. Then, I started making NFL a family gang...

Well, I had originally played ere in summer last year. I had quit after about 20 hours. I thought this was the worst game that I had ever played. Then a friend had texted me asking if I had wanted to play. I then started pk'ing with an AK47 and I thought that I was the best player ever. Then my heart exploded.

Saw the game in appstore and it looked like some kind of 2D pokemon/zelda (???) graphics and I got hooked

I started playing Era back in January of 2011 and it took me a while to get the hang of it. I found it one day when I was using Genius to find apps that I may like. There, I found Graal. Most of the time I was digging shells and trying to save up for the M4 back when it was only 4500. I thought it was a pretty boring game, just digging all the time, so I just played it in my past time Once I got the M4, I started pking but I never had a revive so I got really annoyed every time I was sent to the hospital. This caused me to quit. After that, I didn't play Graal until March 2012. I remembered Graal and I tried playing again and I saw all these new guns and weapons and this time I bought a revive and ever since then, I've been addicted o.o

lol and we got close to crushing it until i joined again:)

My first thought was: "Why did I buy this?"
Then after weeks or Months (?) I played iEra again, because yeah, I bought it and not playing it would be fail. It was kind of boring at the beginning to get money and stuff, but after a while it was quite fun.

Simple story.

I played iClassic on October 2010 when I was at the RPG section reading a review of a game. The review included Graal and SeveSword online. (I think it was called SevenSword idk x.x) But I played the free version of iClassic and it was amazing for a mobile RPG & Online Game. The next day I bought the full version. It was awesome and entertaining. Unfortunately, my iPhone did not turn on so I sent it to repair. It was December 20, I emailed for my account transfer with my emails up to this March. No transfer. December 24, I opened my presents at night getting 2 $50 iTunes cards. I also heard about iEra being released probably on the 18th. I bought iEra and I bought my blue car and my AK47. But I later got bored by playing too much Minecraft on PC during February. I stopped playing Graal on February or April. I got back to it on late May. I played non-stop. Up to this day, I still do.

TL;DR - A true iEra Oldbie plays Graal and abandons it for 1-2 months and goes back to it up to this day.

My friend who showed me classic showed me era too and I started playing a little, I ultimately thought it was the lamest game in the whole world and played it because my friend did and he never played classic, he then went to Tf2 and I quit cause era was so old and seemed empty and void of content. A few months later I saw I still had it and decided to just play for a bit, as I was wondering around my impression changed as I elized it had 1,000,000 times the content classic ever will, been addicted since then.

I was looking for online games and found Era..I then found out it was brand new! I went around killing and everytime i died i laughed xD... Those silly noises and spinning around had me going..

How it turning gay? Ive went over this many times,this happens to every game.. You get bored of it doesn't mean the game is getting worse,for me era is actually evolving and getting better with these updates,staff are trying their best..

I remember when you could pk in front of hospitals; me and layerd were the 5th and 6th best pkers in the first few days of iEra :d.

Actually, Its far better than the classic walk speed, even tho classic is a far bigger kingdom, they are low speeded.... Era is a small city with a bit faster, that's awesome...

I modified the starter gun prices :)

I'm also going to make it so that the new players get a free weapon upgrade

What would be cool is to give noobs an "Newbie Protection System" which will help them get transported from a place to another without getting killed, until they hit/shoot someone then it will be disabled... The system should timeout when the player reaches 10 hours.
Also why not give them a trial gun? That wouldn't hurt much to see a newbie using 3 damage ak47...
Give them an Open Gang... Like you did with "ADIAM" but make this one for players under 10hours... But of course, try accurating the gangs created to a max of 25 members, which will automatically be named after several names after.
Assign icons over there heads, which will show us that this player needs help.

I was with my sister at the local gym taking a beginning class, and when we got home I looked on Touch Arcade as usual and saw the thread for it. Logged on hour or two after it came out. I liked the small feel and the balance of it, but it felt more like a demo than a full version, even for the paid one.

i first downloaded classic and thought it was stupid, and then i played era and thought that it was better, didnt like it too much, but then i got used to it and now im still a noob :)

I was actually thinking something similar. It shows a newbie walking around a PK zone, when you shoot the newbie, it will say "The player is too new to be killed" or something like that...

Yes that's my point... But it could get spammed so it would be better if they had an icon over their heads... But on e the noob shoots someone the protective field shall be disabled.
