Selling Hats In Your Inventory. Good or Bad Idea?
 

I'm assuming this is what you thought my thread was about, haha i think that's an alright idea, i wouldnt mind selling the pink starfish i accidentally spent 4000 gralats on to sit on my face..

Lol I have so many hats I wanna get rid of... If you go to Rufus's post where people posted their hat collection, you can see mine there.

That wouldn't make sense... You bought a hat, gonna use it, then toss it away... WTF!?!?!?

And you can't carry alot of furniture.... Thats why they allowed you to make the ability to sell them... But hats? Srsly!? You can carry as much as you want

what's the sense of having a hat you never wear? might as well make some gralats off it

So you're telling me there's not one hat in your inventory you want to get rid of? I've had these hats for a long time and I hardly use most of them for my custom looks. And by inventory I mean you will have the hats you wanna keep closer together and the ones you wanted to sell are now out of the way. I used to buy hats just to collect so that's why I have so many hats I don't want anymore.

I like the idea but I would end up abusing it just like I do with the selling of furniture. "Oh, look a cool new hat is for sale!" *Sells furniture*. :x

I have too many old hats what i never waer and expensive was so i want to sell it for the half price :/

They dont want to make a trading system because hackers will take advantage of it. Thats why there hasnt been anything like this

There is nothing to hack. Maybe something will be bugged but that would get fixed very fast.

I use maybe seven out of the 52 hats I have.

I could probably make 100k by selling my hats.

Either if i were to support this or not, if it were to be accepted, it would make buying gralat packs useless in a couple of ways.

First, theres no database for the price of hats. The only solution they would do is "You can sell your hats for 1k each". But either if that were to happen, you can easily cheat the hat system by selling your hat for 1k, buy it back for 500 gralats... And so forth and so forth...

Second, The amount of gralats you'd get back for your hats makes the gralat pack system extremely useless. If you sell back a 32,000 hat and got back a 16,000 amount of gralats, that saves you 6 bucks. Please note that even though its a community driven game, it still runs on cash. This will decrease Graal Classic's wallet. Furniture is allowed because they don't increase the price more than 4000

True, but if the person bought the hat they should be able to get at least half back I mean it's fair. There are issues this idea might cause, but I still think there is a way to get this to work.

I don't think the admins will be wanting to decrease their graal market

It is losing him money.. Think about it, old hats that your getting money back. That means tons of people will come up with more money then they had with barely any physical evidence, therefore less people buying gralat packs.

No, supplying the Gralats back doesn't cost Stefan. He doesn't lose money.

+After everyone eventually refunded all of their hats, things would go back to buying Gralat packs again anyway. If you can refund heads, shields, swords and bodies, why not hats? Even if there was no database, I'm sure Stefan could whip up a database of hats less than 2k, and make those non-refundable. If every hat were to refund for 1k each, I would make only 30k from all of the hats I don't use. Stefan needs to place the community over money.. Not happy community = No community. No community = no Graal.

Good point, Agony. I agree. I have so many hats that I never wear and they are probably like 20-40k in total.

I have 5 pages of hats (excluding free hats) and I use six or seven different hats..

Stefan really needs to take this idea into consideration. Everyone has wanted this since purchasable hats came out.

1.Refunded ALL OF THEIR HATS... This feature is about Unused hats...
2.Because you can't upload hats you idiot... The rest are in a upload system... They only refund the heads and bodies YOU MADE
3.How come no one knows the price cuts they did on the hats? And Btw, that extends farther than how much you would've gotten for selling furniture and once again "Making gralat packs pointless". Its like you're getting all your money back for free..

And it is a happy community... You're lucky they even allowed us the upload system... They weren't gonna plan to do that at all but everyone begged and requested for it more than this idea

Lol, i don't think you understand what i mean. I never said it would cost him money to give gralats back, I am aware they arent a real form of currency haha. What i mean is if everyone refunded their old hats they could easily have more money for a new hat, therefore not as many people would be buying gralat packs.

Meaning the current purchases of Gralat packs will decrease while we are selling our hats... And thats why they're not gonna do this solution... So you have to stay with those hats in your inventory..

It's not like you have infinite hats in your inventory. Also, that money they get from refunding the hats would probably be put torward uploading customs (Which cost 1,000, 2,500, 10,000 and 20,000) or buying new hats which are a lot so don't think that money is gonna keep piling up because it won't. People will spend all of it sooner or later so don't think Graal will lose business from this. Think about the new players who don't have as many hats as old players. They won't have much to sell.
