Copyrighted hats in iClassic
 

I recently noticed that two hats I own in iClassic are copyrighted, they belong to a Manga series called "One Piece"

The pink hat with antlers belongs to Tony Tony Chopper, and the yellow mask belongs to Sniper King Usopp, both characters within the manga. Just posting my concerns...

Because I really don't care about either hat, and knowing this they might change it to something nicer

The pink Moose hat whatever thing is actually pretty cool. Why should it be changed?

I wish they would quit hounding us about copyright when these are present on the game.

True Tyler, especially the yellow one, some may have like a tiny headband resulting in a deny to the upload where as this yellow mask is a straight up rip right off of the manga.

Yes the Pirate hat was on maple story and they changed it to gold with no feather.

The graphics staff or some graphics artist such as you Frenzy or myself, should make different version of the hat that arent copyright like what they did with the blue Maple Story pirate hat.

On era, staff uses Troll emoticons, but the Troll heads are banned. Era Logic.
In the end, only admins can use copyrighted things.

not copyright, its based off, but at that scale and only being one part it isnt copyrighted.

Then why does it suddenly become copyright when we do it?

basically heres how it is, they can have staff called ipikachu and "amazing mouse" hats that look basically like pikachu and all sorts of that stuff, but when you upload customs its way more harsh, even to the point that graphics from graal itself that were edits of lttp have been rejected for copyright.

in fact i remember my friends chocalate chip cookie head was rejected for copyright infringement on chips-ahoy brand cookies.

Higbey are you referring to both hats? and yes Rexx, it is, because they sold these hats for gralats, and people very well might have bought gralats with itunes, therefore the server is making money off of the hats. If you have another explanation, please post it...

Not a problem, unless they rip the graphics entirly or recolor them it isn't stealing.

Have some originality. It's just making us worse if we too copy off other works, but yes the copyright infringement denials on customs can get pretty silly like the chips-ahoy stuff.

A staff (unknown at the moment) made it so it does that. It replaced one of our old emotions. Why would we do that on purpose?

If you edit it, then no, it's fine. Make it exactly like the copyright, it's going to get removed.

theres already a hat the exact same in the picture you posted, its off pc graal, however i dont happen to own it but im assuming they edited it so it wouldnt exactley been the same

I don't think people care much if it's copyrighted or not. Our thoughts when we see a hat aren't "Hey, this is copyrighted material!", they're "This hat looks cool, so I'll use it." or "THIS HAT SUCKS."

The cyber virus hat( i dont have pic) is a complete rip from somthing from the show jimmy neutron

Actually Graal was doing the hat thing way before TF2. Hats were a big ****ing deal on G2k1.

Actually, that's what I thought when I saw the red shell hat, which is oddly not really copywrited.
